I really wanted to like this game when I bought it back in the day, but there was so much wasted potential in it. They put a lot of love into Bad Mr Frosty and the Blob's animations, but others just don't do much to show off fun cartoony clay attack. Like Tiny could have had some funny Popeye muscle attacks where his muscles had fist or whatever. Also, that is still one of the lamest Last Bosses ever in a fighting game.
I first noticed the boss was lame when I picked Ickybod Clay and I could just jump and hold L shoulder button. It makes him hold his fist out and it just continues to hit until Ickybod lands. The boss was actually the easiest of all the fighters to beat. Clayfighter 63 1/3 was the worst though.
Is it ok if I use this gameplay in a video I am planning to make as background footage for the commentary? I haven’t started the script, but I have an idea for one, and I’ll credit this channel in the video!
Not gonna lie on this one. The is strangest SNES games ever played. In fact, this game doesn't scares me as kid back in 2004/2005 while my stepdad play that game on ZSNES emulator on Windows XP. In my honesty opinion, this game make me confused.
I kept doing his breath fireball as a kid and didn't realise I needed qcf. What's even stranger is how he gets 2 projectiles, a dragon punch, a slide, a ram, a dash punch, a Blanka ball (also available in the air) and an upwards Blanka ball. Technically 9 specialmoves is a tad absurd by today's standards but I love it all the same.
Cougar12 Clay Fighter was awesome back in the day, i hope with the new physics the game will be a little faster though. And i hope they are learning from WB Games so they can create a combo system that is deep but not impossible to learn.
One thing they defantly need to fix for all games and i mean ALL FIGHTING GAMES is make them actually difficult to beat.Do people really need a very easy mode for Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games just to win? normal mode needs to be way more difficult. To challenge gamers and have achievements that are tough to get.
Toomnyusernae It's the developers fault, when they want to bring in the next generation of gamer's,they make their game weak,i think it's terrible that the makers of Mortal Kombat created a very easy mode to bring in the new generation of kids,to play the game.Games now can get an AO rating for violent games..why doesn't Mortal Kombat have it?,but Steam games do.
But then they exclude a big portion of the market. There are less hardcore players than there are lesser skilled players. People are soft and may not have the mental fortitude or interest to play hard games. They just want to experience the game, be entertained and not frustrated. Like. How many people looove Battletoads? Besides, having games with the best of both is more flexible to cater to both crowds. A perfect example would be Smash Bros I think.
Toomnyusernae What is a game if the game isn't challenging?,that's just it, it's not a game..yes the game could be fun but still a disappointment,in a terms of difficulty.
A game can be a lot of things. A typical fighting game you get a roster and the character interactions define the depth or balance. Whether a game has to be difficult or not is relative. The question you're raising is "shouldn't fighting games be difficult?" To that I would respond in saying the cpu assigned to make the game challenging is different from when a player challenges someone else. For an older game like this I dunno how hard you want it to be. At least there's a difficulty setting in the option. That's why I say it's up to the player to decide and step up. Games don't have to be difficult to be fun but I agree some games benefit from being difficult. But I still don't think it would be a good thing to have a mandatory difficulty to enjoy the game because there are a lot more casual players and far less fighting game players amongst the masses who play games. If you want a challenge and the game isn't providing it you'll have to come up with it yourself. Play people provided you can find someone willing.
I think it would have been cool if there was a PS1 version of this game with better graphics, voice samples, and more characters and CD Audio music. And for the love of god, a new theme song...
Interplay was actually working on porting 63 1/3 to the PS as ClayFighter Xtreme, but was canceled due the PS version not being finished in time for the N64 version to be released.
Awesome play through, “Cool!”
My childhood right here
Mine to.
Same pal, good times
I'm with you guys. I wish the remastered game would be released this year. Sadly, it was canceled. :(

ooh the memories 😅😅
This is scary in that way some retro games are really scary.
How is it scary? The characters or the game itself?
I know how you feel. I am also really high so I'm not sure.
I didn’t give a shit I still loved this game since I was like 7 or sum
That Elvis rip off guy just made me laugh! "Watch the hair, man!"
Or "What the hair, man!"
Before smash bros, IckyBod Clay was my MAIN.

I like 64 1/2 because it has Boogerman and that racist asian fighter
*63 1/3
Taffy's theme is so cool.
I remember getting this from Toys “R” Us and coming home and playing and feeling disappointed but I still kind of liked it
I thought he said "I'm bad! I'm cool! I know I'm cool!"
epicrapfan73 me too
epicrapfan73 that's what he said
I always thought that as well until I realized the last line is actually "I'm noone's fool!"
Chalk it up to the fuzzy sound of CRT TVs compared to emulators.
"I know what's cool" XD
For an SNES game the graphics hold up nicely.
This game scared me as a kid dawg
That was a closed call 7:25
I loved this game!!

It was always really cool how Bad Mr. Frosty always exploded into clumps of snow when he died
Why is taffy both 3rd and 6th opponent ?

Is it ok if I use this gameplay in a video I am planning to make as background footage for the commentary? I haven’t started the script, but I have an idea for one, and I’ll credit this channel in the video!
There should be an ending of some sort.
It's a good thing we got vgmuseum for that. Thanks for the heads up on ending requirements by the way.
Not gonna lie on this one.

For SNES the graphics are pretty good. Fighting is pretty funny to watch.
Bad Mr. Frosty is awesome no question but I always wondered why he had two projectile moves. Was kinda redundant.
Sean Lightowler that's kinda awesome and makes perfect sense

I love this game
This game scared me shitless as a kid...
Awww memories. And Bad Mr Frosty beats everyone's ass. Yall better remember though: No one beats the man with the hair! So, don't touch it!
I love the headless horsemen guy

I wish you can longplay. 3ds. Games
Bad Mr. Frosty...
...they already have.
groovy
The first Clay Fighter was fun. Clay Fighter on the 64 on the other hand? Boring as hell.
I remember how they tried to parody most games at the time with calling it "ClayFighter 63 1/3". It wasn't funny, just added to the game's stupidity.
Agreed, I think by the time it came out we were all getting tired of the 64 title gimmick.
Thats why they did it
Who told you that?
JOB: FLEXING
frosty my main nigga
bleahhhhhh
Good game cringey intro lmao
