  • Information to this lesson:
    If things are unclear I would recommend to watch the video multiple times or to pause the video and look at the images and diagrams. Different tips on the shaft and different conditions might change the behaviour of this system. For example maybe quarter a tip equals a diamond. You have to figure that factor out when learning this system related to your equipment. I have created a drill that helps you practising these shots. The drill is available on my Patreon account in the "Join The Club" tier.

    There is no doubt about the fact you're the best teacher out there. Amazing techniques in your demonstrations. No one so far is more honest and truthful than you in this game. Thank you and God bless you.

    I honestly had no clue as to how to put spin on the ball, and I’ve been playing pool for awhile (albeit, pretty sparingly), and this video was very helpful!
    My step-dad and I used to play pool pretty regularly, and he would crush me almost every time. Then after not doing it for about 6 months, we went out again about 2 weeks ago and I beat him for the first time lol. What I enjoy about pool is that it’s just so satisfying, and it’s a game that doesn’t go away after you learn it.

    I love all of your videos, and I have learned so much from them to the point that they made me a better pool player. But this video, by far, is the most comprehensive display of instruction that will get me to the next level. Thank you so much, and keep them coming! Best wishes always.

    I practiced this for a good while until I figured out basically what you just said in regards to how much English for each diamond, and that’s what folks have to do - practice it, speed make a difference and can depend on factors of your cue and the table you play on. But it’s worth it, it’s pulled me out of tough situations numerous times!!

    Nicely done. I love the PROCESS much better than some schmuck putting their finger down and saying hit it here. Why am I hitting it there and what do I expect it to do is more valuable. It's akin to the adage give a man a fish vs teach a man to fish.

    Thanks and I love all your videos. I do have a question on this subject. I understand this concept quite well, but what baffles me is what happens when high right,low right,high left and low left are induced. Can you make a video answering this topic? I hope so and thanks!

    • @Sharivari
      @Sharivari  5 років тому +2

      Thank you! It's actually pretty simple. High subtracts half a diamond and low adds half a diamond.

    Good Day, Everyone! @Sharivari with a respect, but you forgot to mention about Cue ball position while you were explaining about half of a tip or 1 tip left or right english, if the cue ball is on the first line of diamonds then half tip of english to the right will move the ball right by 1 diamond, if the cue ball is on the middle line then 1 tip of right english can move the ball to the right by 1 diamond, please link the explanatory video to my comment so it can be clear for most of players. Thanks!

    Shift or pivot? When adding English to the cue ball?

    Before Efren the Magician played in the US, there were no spots on the cue ball, after playing there, they saw how good his control over the cue ball is, hence the spots on the cue ball to see how he hits it. Altho more importantly, the amount of force when he shoots, would be difficult to master.
