R18 that should help those bees over winter a whole lot.
We'll see, it can't hurt but from what I've seen over the years, the healthy colonies seem to do well regardless. I'll update on things in the spring.
👍Yep that sounds like it'll work well. I took some of the Reflectix and added it to a Pig Mat Brad absorbent pad, it's similar to what your doing with the 2nd. Thanks for sharing, BlessedDays...
Interesting--so with the combination of the absorbent pad, are you trying to increase the R value or thinking about moisture?
