Small Town Fun In Branson Missouri! | Food, Shopping & More!

- In today's video we head into Branson Missouri to do some shopping, specifically at Branson Landing. We had lunch at the Landing before heading into downtown Branson to do some window shopping as well as visit a dinosaur store! After visiting Branson Landing for a bit it was time to head back into Springfield Missouri so that we could get a hotel and bunk up for the night because we had an early flight out of Springfield airport. Once we got into Springfield I did a little exploring in the downtown area trying to find a You Are Hear Starbucks mug, which I never found. Tune in tomorrow for a new video back in Orlando.

I wish you had eaten at Lambert's Cafe in Springfield. It's the "home of the throwed rolls". The only way to get a roll to eat is to catch it. Yummy food there!

How cool! We live in Springfield! It was so much fun watching your videos and seeing our area of the country from a different perspective. My fiance's mom actually works in management at Silver Dollar City! My entire family are huge Disney World fans and we go down quite often. We love watching your videos because they make us feel like we're there in between trips. I hope you all enjoyed your time in the Ozarks and hopefully you will be back soon!

Hey Tim, one of the towns near Springfield is Nixa. If you've watched the Bourne movies, you'll know that Jason Bourne is from Nixa, Missouri. There used to be a sign at the entrance to town that said "Welcome To Nixa: Birthplace of Jason Bourne," but the Missouri Department of Buzzkills took it down.
Add Branson to the list of places I never thought I'd want to go to but now want to because of a Tracker vlog. My only exposure to Branson before this is the Simpsons and their Bronson, Missouri joke
I have lived in Branson my whole life. It's really awesome and sorta maddening to see your videos. So surreal. I worked in that pawn shop for a long time and it's actually where a reality tv show that was on the discovery channel called "game of pawns" was filmed.

I hope you were able to stop at the five and dime! It is truly an amazing place to see! Those rocks along 65 are not "table rocks" as far as I know. But I do know that lake taneycomo (the water you see at the landing) name is made up from this: the lake is in "TANEY COunty MissOuri" get it?

I love Branson Missouri
First time viewer here! You made a great video of Branson! If you guys are ever here in October, we would love to have you visit the Corbins at Branson Haunted Hills.
These have been the best video's I've seen from anyone that I follow who I subscribe to for the Disney/Universal content. You continue to show us other destinations also. The vlogs from this trip were 1st. class!!!! I TOTALLY enjoyed them all. What a great place enjoyed by a even greater couple!! Seeing the enjoyment you guys were having was the icing on the cake.. We live in Vermont and have a hobby farm with over 49 critters of many different type of animals. Although we ae DVC owners, it's been over 10 years since we have been to Fla. It's just next to imposable to get people to take care of them, if we leave. However you & Jenn bring that part of it to us on a daily basis. However this trip just blew my mind. Because of you guys I tasted every food you ate, every thrill you had on the rides, every emotion you felt, and the feelings you had when seeing all the Xmas lights. When you were describing them it went from your hearts to ours. We can never thank you enough for that. So APPRECIATE that!! You are a very special couple!! We wish nothing then the best in your lives. We truly love the both of you. Have a great holiday season and BE HAPPY!!! Thank you Mark & Tamar..

The reason there is trout instead of bass in the fish tank is because trout are released from the fish hatchery located below the Table Rock Lake Dam. The trout are then released into Lake Taneycomo.
In summer Branson area full of kiddos and young people. This is off season. Everyone is in school except weekends summer in Branson is hetic n busy
I can confirm that Missouri DOES have You Are Here Starbucks mugs. I visit Branson often (my dad and step-mom have retired in the area) and will find one. And yes....I had the same reaction to The Fudge Shop mannequins on the roof.

The boat in downtown with all the lights is set up for bowfishing. It's big on Table Rock lake and surrounding areas.
I'm not sure if it's on your route back, but the Springfield mall is so much fun! It has a lot of stores and fun stuff.
Tim seemed super hyper in this episode and it was awesome.
I wish we had known you were going to be in Branson. We live in Springfield, MO and would loved to have met you! Maybe when you come back for the new Time Traveler coaster!

You should've stopped at Bass Pro in Springfield. It is beautiful! And there is a restaurant upstairs called Hemingway's.. delicious! Also near Springfield, there is a popular restaurant called Lambert's. They throw your rolls to you. In Branson, I hope you went to Ripley's and The Butterfly Palace.
You totally missed the best store. Dick's 5 & 10. It is an experience in itself.

Back in the early oughts (2002) I worked IT for a tourism association. While I was setting up a PC for the new COO I noticed a framed Matt Groening sketch on his desk. Turns out he was the head of the local tourism board (can't remember the exact title) for Branson and the sketch was part of a thank you note from when they were researching for the Branson episode of the Simpsons. It was really cool.
You should see Eureka Springs, a small old quaint Victorian Town. Not far from Branson.

Eureka Springs is the weirdest town in the world. Quaint Victorian architecture + weed-smoking artists and hippies + evangelical Christianity everywhere you look.

I’ve been on those ghost tours, it’s really scary. I was scratched whilst they were conducting an EVP and the investigator was so freaked out that he gave me a blessed Saint Michael pendant.
Good vlog as usual. I was hoping that someone would tell you about Lamberts restaurant. Home of the throwed rolls. They bring out a cart with fresh baked yeast rolls. Raise your hand and they will throw it to you, even across the room. Pass around foods are included.( fried okra, fried potatoes, macaroni and tomatoes, black eyed peas, sorghum molasses and apple butter. Look on you tube for videos. Cool place. It was right up the road from where you were staying. Maybe next time.
My family used to have family reunions in Branson, Missouri and lived in St. Louis.

I wish you guys would have gone to Dicks 5 and dime in downtown Branson. It is the craziest store ever. A Branson must! At the top of that zipline, there used to be a real fancy restaurant called the Candlestick Inn. They had the most delicious food. Unfortunately it was destoyed in a tornado a few years back.
I'm from KCMO and I'm gonna be honest... I had no idea Springfield even had an airport. Also, you can get the "You are here" mugs but i think they have just KC and St. Louis
If I remember right, the fountain was actually made by the same people who made the Bellagio fountain. Every morning they do a show to the national anthem as well.

Springfleld is such a quaint town.There's something to be said for these small towns.

Go see a show sometime. Haygoods is a must. Six is great. Buckets n Boards. Magic shows. Branson is so much more than Silver Dollar City. Zip Lining. Snow Tubing. Go Carts. Fritz. Now building an Aquarium. Hopefully
That's just the normal music they play for that time of year. The show isn't even going on at that time. That's just the normal rotation because it has to do something. The show times and songs for the Water and Fire Show are on the website and there is a sign in front of the stairs. It plays every hour, on the hour Mon-Sat Noon to 10PM and Sun Noon to 9PM. 1 song per show, except for 7PM everyday, which is the 3 song extravaganza. The lights come on at dusk and they make it a little better at night. This is one of the only free shows in Branson and it is to get people to shop at Branson Landing.
This is the same thing as the Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas, but on a smaller scale. The same guy made this one. It is controlled by a computer and it breaks down easily. It is prone to flooding and the entire thing breaks when it floods.
There is a boardwalk that goes behind it, which goes onto Lake Taneycomo.
There is also a small dancing fountain closer to the red brick road that goes thru Branson Landing.
In my opinion, the show isn't even half as good unless you are sitting on that side of the fountain because you have to hear the music that goes along with it. If I lived up there, I would just enjoy the views of Lake Taneycomo and Branson Landing.
NO!!! NO, the Branson Scenic Railway is NOTHING like Amtrak because this is the ONLY STATION! It is not public transportation! The only public transportation Branson currently has is Sparky, the FREE downtown trolley. It has about 12 stops along the route.
Also, what you saw was the Branson Landing trolley, which is also free and constantly goes back and forth thru Branson Landing.
Branson actually has one of the lowest crime rates of any town in America, but it is not zero.
When I was in Missouri this summer, I was able to get a You Are Here mug from Kansas City. I have never been to Branson, Mo so I have no clue if they sell You Are Here mugs there.
I will be in Springfield and Branson next weekend and it is now my mission to find you a "you are here" mug. I wish I would have known when you guys were coming up, you missed all the "fun" places in Branson and Springfield. Next time you come up, let us know and we'll come up from Tulsa to show you around!

Great video guys. Meant to say in your cave video that here in the U.K. in Somerset/ Dorset we have a set of caves called wookey hole which has a story behind it of a witch who used to live there and lots of little stories and caverns .

As a native Springfieldian, I’m sad to say that we do not have a You Are Here mug! At least not any that I’ve seen, even in my time working at Starbucks. Sad day!
Others mentioned it- you missed Dick's 5&10, which is practically an attraction in itself. it's an old five and dime, but gone extreme. My wife has a hard time though as it can be a bit claustrophobic. Also have to catch some of the local shows that helped to make Branson famous next time you're in town.
