    This is one of the best videos on catching saugeye on the platform, lots of good info here all in one place that took me years to learn.

      Fishing knowledge takes a lot of experience to accumulate, especially pre internet.
      Thanks for the praise, I tried getting as much into one hour that I could amd there are so many different baits to go over and then l9ve bait tactics also

    You really did a great job with this video. You cover just enough information to help us beginners become better saugeye fisherman. I've been fishing for them for 3 years now, and I was still able to gain some new knowledge from watching this. Thank you!

    Great video Karl, very informative. People need to watch your video on fishing Indian lake for Saugeye. Lots of good info on that trip pertaining to retrieve speed, lure selection and most importantly using a flouro leader and how finicky the fish were on color choice, including jighead color. See you on the water.

    I haven't even finished the video yet, but thank you Karl! There are not enough videos on saugeye like this. My gf caught her first saugeye (15.75") this year while we were perch fishing at Pleasant Hill Lake. I've searched and searched for saugeye videos but it's mostly walleye...thanks for explaining the differences in habitat and how to fish for them. I'll be watching this video multiple times...lol. thanks again Karl. Great channel! Great info!

      Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the praise! Hopefully it helps you get on some fish. I've never boat fished that lake before, only a few sections of the tailwaters.

    Cross between WALLEYE and Sauger caught them and Pennsylvania. Especially when it's raining and thunder I didn't mean to fish during the thunder but they hit me like a mad man. These were large.

    Very informative Karl Tks. Didn't know you was a OTR pilot,just thought you were local.heard you mention on previous vids that you'd worked last night. Anywho when layed up in the ind.parks for drops,hauls the retention ponds often hold fish. Some will let you fish Some won't. Brother OTD for 23 yrs. wasn't much into fishing when we were kids but got into it over the yrs. driving.Fri.drop haul back next day,or Mon. Caught a few sizable fish every now& then. Panfish,bass,cats. Be safe out there! Pro drivers keep America moving! THANK YOU!!!!&Merry Christmas

      I've been driving OTR since 2012 and just moved back to Ohio in 2018.
      I drive regional now but when I was driving coast to coast, I carried a 5wt fly, spinning and chest waders in my truck. I was lucky enough to fish a bunch of places I'd have never fished if I didn't drive truck and made the best of it.
      Just put a travel rod and bag in this truck finally since I have a route that takes me along a few lakes I can fish ans spend the night parked along occasionally

    Do you use any kind of spray sent for your paddle swim tail.

    • @karlwolf101
      @karlwolf101  9 місяців тому +1

      Naw, many come scented like the k techs.
      I have gulp juice and shad spray and it can help a little but I'm not concerned with it.
      The sprays always get on everything
