Proud backer of the original campaign and big fan of the game. Was excited about the new bots and the bigger board/box…but the prices were too jacked up! 🥵😪😭😭
I started watching your channel when you were enjoying Super Fantasy Brawl. I’m curious if that game is still in your collection and whether you still play it.
Got the all in pledge when it was first revealed. Definitely took forever cuz of issues with the models, but those were fixed and it eventually came. This game is really good, and is popular with my game group (who usually only do splotters) along with my family. Plain dumb fun, I even backed the expansion (which they did increase prices but I could justify with how many plays I get of it)
This game was pretty fun when I incorporated the expansions and crowdfunding exclusive content but that puts it into a very expensive price range. I don't if the core box can stand up on its own for long unless you invest more.
@@BoardGameCo Your review for the core feels like a common sentiment I have heard from others on bgg. It’s a cute game and can be really fun with investment but I have no doubt we can find similar experiences for far cheaper in the hobby 😅
@@hubris1960 I'm looking for games such as this one where I can play it with family but it still has replayability to it. What similar experiences to this game would you recommend?
@@sly_snivy if you have some younger gamers in the family. I would recommend some of the newer content for Marvel United. Alex has a lot of coverage on it if you want to learn more. If your family members can handle something more complex and you want a game with some similarities to Robot Quest Arena, I would recommend Black Rose Wars.
All deck building games feel similar. Find one that you like the theme of and your probably good to go. I recommend star wars the deck building game, star realms, hero realms, and ASTRO knights just to name a few
He did say no such game has done it for him. One that's quite similar, but with a less child-oriented aesthetic and a little more going on mechanically, is Ascention Tactics (he's played it).
@@richardoaks8333The games are fine. It's mostly the poorly run campaigns that threw me off. Especially the deluxe version of Star realms a few years back.
@@richardoaks8333 they take an excessive amount of time to ship their crowd funding projects to their backers, im still waiting for Star Realms Rise of the Empire which im HOPING ships around August, which would make it a year late at that point.
Love the game, played a friend's copy. Looked into getting my own copy on the latest campaign and... NOPE! It is EXPEEEEENSIVE. And this is coming from someone who regularly buys CMON games. Way overpriced for what it is.

This was 100% factual statement. Also a original backer
9:38 I always wanted a robot-fighting game, too!
We really enjoyed at 2 players as well
Nice!
I was really sad that they didn't ship to Brazil, on the gamefound campaign that is, but I guess my wallet is relieved

Sadly no longer here, I still think it's good but it lasted around two years.

Mmmm a deck building game I can play with my 6 and 8 year olds? Oh yeah!
Yep :)
It's just nice to see you with your son.
Thanks :)
Missing my son when he was this age.
Awww

That's totally fair, but all I got to experience was the core.

He's so big now!!!!
This is like BattleBots: The Board Game! 😀
So there are no similar game recommendations?

Nice game..on par with marvel united for my nieces but Wise Wizard games doesn't have the best track record in my books.
I've been getting into wise wizard games, can you give me some feedback about their track record?
