    My husband tells tales of tending bar at a big "honky tonk" in Texas. He says at the end of the night they would sell shots of what was left in the bar mat. The first drink is what I imagine those shots would look (and taste) like.

    I laughed out loud multiple times during this video and used the rewind-10-second-feature more than once to re-watch spots.
    Az's "nice" as she pulls off the pepper was one spot and the "Shout out to Al who came up with this drink... not this drink. I came up with this... Al, you came up with a terrible drink" was the another line that really got me! 😂 You two rock! Cheers!

    The start of this video made me laugh so much 😂 the slam down of the drink had me in bits! The finished product looks really interesting tho, I’ll have to give it a go.     Awesome episode!! Can't wait to try this odd concoction (the second one). Question for you all.... Could you do a behind the lens episode? It's been great to follow you both for a while, but we rarely see what goes on to make these gorgeous videos come together.     Ya know, my wife is getting very impatient with me. I just got back from another trip to [a great liquor store] where, outside of mail order, I'm most likely to find all of the spirits you use in your many wonderful cocktails.     I recently felt compelled to mix whisky Baileys and tawny port, thinking the wine would add some nice fruit flavors to the baileys. It was a regrettable experiment but your idea for filtering out the curd has some merit. Might try it again some day, a long time from now.

    You got me! I might try the original, but it looks like Besk is unavailable in my area (and even Curiada it seems!), so Malort for both versions it is. I recently discovered Ancho Reyes and am in love. Would love to see more drinks featuring Ancho Reyes. Cheers!

    As an awesome bartender with regulars, how do you recommend someone going about finding one like you?
    Every bar I go to either doesn’t have the ingredients to make many of these cocktails, or is a fine dining restaurant and super expensive. I just wanna be able to request these drinks!

      It didn’t work. Just blended together. The base is the same for the 2 liqueurs so maybe that’s a factor. Putting it in the freezer isn’t getting any results either. Gonna try cooking it next. I’ll lose ABV but maybe it will clarify and seperate

    This reminds me of a cocktail that my friend came up with at the last football tailgate of our senior year of college. It was called the “Father Jenkins” after the President of the school. It was roughly equal parts: Jameson, Kraken, Ketel One, Fireball and Bombay Sapphire, with a floater of coke to fill the rest of the cup. In the sizes they were being poured that day, certainly not something you’d ever want to serve at a bar or a party if you didn’t want the building to burn down. However, the overall taste was much, much better than I ever expected. It was thick, but in a pleasant way kind of like a Guinness, with a sweet but slightly spicy taste from the rum and fireball (even though fireball’s taste is totally synthetic tasting it weirdly cut through everything else).
    You could definitely turn the flavor profile of that dreadful concoction into something halfway decent with a bit of work I bet. Just serve it in a really small glass.
