    I would have liked to include more skateboarding test footage but unfortunately I injured myself during one of the sessions.
    For anyone who has been sitting on the fence about purchasing these wheels, hopefully this video will give you a clear answer as to whether they're suited to your needs.

    I was looking for really hard wheels for my board, and man I gotta say you blew it out of the park with this vid. At first I thought it was going to suck cause it only had 200 views, but nope it was everything I was looking for. Detail after details man, you got literately everything. Now I know exactly what I want and have confidence I will love these wheels. Glad to be here before you get big. Keep making them man your doing an outstanding job.

    Dude this video was awesome. For some youtubers it takes years to achieve this level of quality but you just nailed it! I really liked your opinion on these wheels, but i’m thinking of getting some softer ones. If you could review some 60mm 70-80a I would love it!

    I had to rewatch to see why you wouldn't recommend them for bowls but when you put the speed and grip on the pros list. But the word "wooden" was substantial. I only ride concrete bowls and absolutely love them. So fast yet grippy on the transition. But as soon as I feel a single raindrop I stop riding.

    Hardness, rebound, grip, breakout, and thane...downhill world would tell you they are all different elements on their own.
    SPF 84b are harder and faster yes, but grip more, more difficult to powerslide than STF 83b and STF 99a.
    Both SPFs and STFs are more difficult to release into a slide than the usual Spitfires, OG formula or Formula Fours.

    I remember 101a wheels from the 1990s, and they were _small_ too, something like 48mm were probably the average for street back then-which I realize goes counter to what you said at the beginning of your video, but that was what people were skating back then. Maybe you remember? THOSE were hard wheels!

      @@LewisFarley Haha! But seriously, I was going to ask you something. There must be a difference in the 'A' versus 'B' hardness scales, right? Your review is for 84B wheels, so is that a different scale or..? It's been a _long_ time since I rode on anything hard. I'm not as young and crazy as I once was, so now I ride longboards-the skater's retirement program, haha!

    • @LewisFarley
      @LewisFarley  3 роки тому +1

      @@bveracka So, from my understanding - the 'B' scale is more of a marketing term by Bones more than anything, though I do believe their 'B scale' wheels are going to be the slightest bit harder than anything on an A scale, so again - B is the slightest bit harder than the hardest A scale wheel but it's mostly used as a marketing term.

      Lewis Farley I’m thinking of the spitfire f4 classics 54mm and 99a but the roads where I am aren’t that good so idk if it would be to hard. I’ve seen some people recommend the ritca clouds 92a but people say they aren’t that good for grinds.

    • @LewisFarley
      @LewisFarley  4 роки тому

      @@freddie9190 I wouldn't think too deep about it really mate, if you're buying from a solid brand and you go for a mm and softness you like, you'll be happy. The spitfires you mentioned would be good enough. Also, don't listen to anyone saying those rictas are not good for grinds because a wheel won't make a different to any grind you do.

    It's really incorrect to suggest the hardest wheels are what you'd want on smooth hard surfaces though. A 104A wheel slides so well, you're going to lose grip on vert. I'd suspect you've gone from one extreme (too soft) to another (too hard). It's also perfectly fine to ride super hard wheels on rough grounds, it just isn't comfortable without shock absorbing riser pads. But for street skating you really don't want to use soft wheels at all, because it means anything makes you get stuck as far as sliding / grinding street spots goes. And reverts or powerslides are something you will want to have access to in street skating. I'm not surprised you liked Spitfire F4 wheels a lot, as they are a great example of how well hard wheels work for street skating and park. People in vert doing longer grinds or slides on coping might want more grippy wheels, but ironically Bones wheels are a bit more sticky than Spitfire F4s are.

    • @AChristian316
      @AChristian316 4 роки тому

      I totally get what your saying here man. I did buy these wheels however and they are basically plastic. Def harder than the 101a spitfire formula 4 that i had been riding. Weird but the 101a seems to slide easier even though it is softer? I feel like even though the 84b is harder the formula makes it stick more than the 101a. Maybe i just gotta wear the spfs in though idk. I have only skated them 1hr so far. Maybe different after a few weeks when i round them out a bit who knows
