I got it done in about 10 days, that includes 2 visits to the U.S. Embassy. 1st visit the 'free to marry document'. Then made the very wise decision to utilize a company that does all the paperwork for you. They took that document to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then to the Ampur. Tricky part is the Ampur Appt and it could be anywhere in BKK. A LOT of documents at Ampur and then we were married. Company took documents back to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then one more appt at U.S. Embassy. That 2nd appt at U.S. Embassy is not required but helpful. Can be tricky getting the 2 appts at U.S. Embassy that will fall in the timeline of everything you need to get done.
Is there a simple process I can do to have my Dutch marriage to my Thai wife (5 years in 2025) recognised, or is that something I need to do with the Thai Embassy in Den Haag?
