She's not even on a script. She barely glances at her notes. So much of this is right from her heart. Genius level intellect.

Like her father, Malala has great wisdom and is brilliantly articulate. She is a great public speaker and she is the bright future for Pakistan. We must support her in her aims. Bless her. She is a fine honest and beautiful woman.

I love you, Malala. I just finished reading 'I am Malala' - what a fabulous writer! This little girl is an old soul, wise beyond her years. She is insightful, inspirational, and has accomplished more for this world at her young age than most people can ever dream of. I wish her all the best - and hope her voice grows louder and louder over the coming years.

Bless her heart. She is an amazing individual. Bright and intelligent, I am really proud of her. It is so wrong to subject women to domestic chores when they have the ability to articulate ideas that will benefit society. I hope more muslim women will rise up and rebel against the male dominated societies. May the Lord bless her and keep her safe!

Malala Yousafzai is a brave, intelligent, honest, selfless, kind girl with golden heart , she has courage and ability to fight against injustice a girl with a heroic qualities but unfortunately she is not Punjabi. Pakistan is managed by Punjabi people, they don’t allowed to non-Punjabi be respected or get power in Pakistan.

Education is the most important of all public duties and it should be available to all people equally and it should be provided from a secular system. All religion is divisive when it comes to education and that is unacceptable.

  • @1ofEve

She explains the importance of helping your neighbor succeed. Clearly she understands that fear and pain can potentially spawn evil. She has sympathy for those who consider her an enemy. The fluidity in which she explains this phenomena is nothing short of amazing, given her age.
However I believe, in a mathematical sense, that capitalism doesn't work if everyone succeeds. A currency is only as strong as the sheer sum of those who are desperate to acquire it. Most fall through the cracks, and some make choices that affect others negatively. You could argue that terrorists, gangs, certain institution-abusers etc are all products of capitalism, desperation and a lack of morality.
I feel as if the girl is pure of heart, but incidentally glorifying the seemingly less-evil of two tyrannical systems. The interviewer comparatively sheds light on gender inequality in the U.K., which is in fact still an issue, but distracting from the infinity of other exploitable flaws of democracy.
I understand that keeping girls uneducated means keeping money and power out of their hands. But let's not ignore how terribly corrupt of a system capitalism is in the first place. I suppose if men are able to dominate and oppress populations, women should be able to too, but that's a hell of a condition when you step back and look at it that way. And technological/scientific progression is not an excuse to oppress, even though it is impossible for all 7 billion of us to return to the land.
I fear this sweet girl will be exploited as a media pawn in one murky way or another all because she is a talking martyr when realistically she is no more brave than a soldier diving on a grenade to protect his comrades.

Would love to hear her commentary on US and its pop culture depiction and promotion of gender roles and stereo types. She is right that countries that are more developed with laws and general equality for men and women, have a false sense that no more improvement is needed even when there are still very strong cultural biases and discrimination.

No mention of abortion. This young woman will lose her importance if she adds this nasty aspect of feminism to her strong desire to help women and make them free. Abortion does exactly the opposite for the weakest members of our society, the weakest children of all - those who have not yet been born.
