- How I romanticize slow living in English countryside while staying realistic and dealing with real life issues.
I moved to the countryside 1.5 years ago and a lot has changed since then. I realised that I wanted to be closer to nature and city life wasn't really for me. I had to go through a lot of inner and outer change to live this life that I have right now, and in a lot of ways it's not perfect. I don't intend it to be. It's still real, it's still difficult. But there are certain ways I choose to look at things which make life a little bit easier.

Chocolate Fudge recipe from this video (vegan, but can be made non vegan, no baking required)
200g condensed coconut milk (you can use regular condensed milk for non vegan version)
80g almond butter
180g melted dark chocolate (I used 70% cacao, if you want sweeter fudge then use 50%)
Vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Roasted Spanish almonds and roasted pecans (any nuts will work, especially roasted hazelnuts!)
Melt chocolate over a pot of boiling water or in microwave. While it’s warm add condensed milk, almond butter, vanilla and salt. Mix well - the mixture will become pretty thick. Add roasted almonds and pecans. Line a baking dish with parchment paper, scoop out the fudge onto the paper and press with the spatula to the desired thickness and shape. Leave in the fridge for 1-2 hours to set and enjoy. :)
Can be kept in the fridge for about 1 week.

Oh how I can relate to needing a deep restoration and it is a constant struggle. I so crave, peace, tranquility and solitude and fight the daily battle of too many people, noise, drama and constant. I love encountering a sweet kitty like that one when I'm out walking. I'm neither in the country or the city. Sort of in between. I make the best of it. Luckily, I live near miles of foothills. Two years ago I bought a clear plastic umbrella that makes walking in the rain more pleasant as it doesn't obstruct the beautiful view. The hills are lushly green this time of year. I'll be using my clear umbrella today. 😊

Hello! I watched your video (this one) for the first time in my life - but I fell so in love with it that I can't tell you! I was mindlessly scrolling down, and I happened to see your video and thought of giving it a try (you know there aren't many good videos like this out there!). But I'm so lucky to have found it....
I'm just a 16 year old trying to get through life which is not so easy at the moment. On one of your videos, I saw written "alone in the middle of nowhere" and I swear I've been feeling the same since many weeks now. I can't concentrate on anything and I'm struggling to ignore people's voices around me trying to pull me down. I barely know what to do anymore and these quiet things, spending some alone time are the only things helping me to get through each day.
I'm a city girl but I'm also an introvert, so I like to be silent and enjoy some quiet moments in the early mornings or late nights. I'm trying to figure out how to get my grip on life back again since I know I can't push away my responsibilities and duties forever....
I just need some encouragement, some motivation to do that. I do want to be what I want to be....but maybe you know, everyone needs a little bit of push at times..... including me.
I'm hoping you could give me some advice.....I feel like you're the older sister I never had and always wanted. Thank you for your videos and know that you're changing lives by them.

Hello sweet girl!! Beautiful peaceful video that I thoroughly enjoyed 🙂 It has rained here in Tennessee every day this week!! I have been in such a rut!! I am so ready to get in a better frame of mind. Doing one thing a day that brings you joy sounds delightful!! Usually in the evening after my husband goes to bed, my 13 year old cat Misty Gray that we call Sissy & I curl up on the couch. She hides & sleeps a lot of the day mostly to get away from our little 7 1/2 month old kitten Auggie who is just into everything lol But that time in the evening is so precious to me. I don't feel anxious to do anything or stressed.i just sit & pet my baby girl. Sometimes I watch UA-cam or read awhile or find something on TV. Then when it's time for bed I am wound down & ready to sleep. Take care sweet girl 💖 cya next time 💚

I have sunny cold winter days after a long time of grey sky days. I'm getting sick, that is why I'm still slow down in my flat.

Aah we’re getting first spring flowers now as the weather has warmed up significantly. Do you get flowers like these in spring too when it gets a bit warmer?
@@IamDaria We get small flowers here to. Spring is about the melting of the snow and the ice and it takes many weeks. At the same time the light really returns and we day by day move to midnight sun so when the snow is finally gone we more or less have summer in only a few days. A short, intense arctic summer with the sun shining day and night. Then it is time for the arctic flora to bloom.
@@IamDaria One small flower is Dryas Octopetala for example and Gentiana nivalis and Rhododenron laponicum, they bloom not until the summer has come though. (If you like you can look them up)
