I saw a drilling company (I think it was for drainage as they were pumping water before a foundation was dug) with one of these, I didn't know they made a 6x6 version until then!
That is one beautiful truck I means what better in the world than a Unimog offroad, that would be a 6x6 Unimog off road, I bet this truck is virtually unstoppable in the shit! I have a U1300L with the same engine and its a very nice great quality piece!

У унимога малые хода подвески,это отлично видно на видео,урал там колеса не оторвал бы от земли,шины стоят тракторные,а не штатные континенталь.сам владею Уралом и хорошо знаю его возможности
@@уралнекстдвухмостовыйуралнекст Ходы подвески в данном случае имеют малое значение, у Унимога есть межколесные блокировки, диагональное вывешивание ему нестрашно. Клиренс у него 50 см (у Урала 40 см), более низкообортный двигатель, лучшая развесовка (двигатель легче), Уралу с ним не тягаться без вариантов.
@@СергейСидоров-п9е8л клиренс унимога-40-44см по разным данным урал-41 при 4кг/см(сам замерял),артикуляция имеет очень большое значение на скользких покрытиях,когда едеш по диагонали с блокировкой и все колеса прижаты машина лучше едет,а когда только на двух или трёх-хуже,д двигатель на Урал некст весит 700кг-ямз-536 заправленный,взвешивал свой Урал некст4×4-4100кг на передний мост,4200кг-на задний без водителя,также колеса Урала выше на 20см

Unless you really need Dokka cab, 4x4 L3.8 chassis will allow 4m cabin. Do you really want the poor economy, extra complexity and poor turning circle of 6x6?
@@philhealey449 Of course! My only issue is the extra weight. I'm looking at one for touring Australia, but theres a lot of MUD and few trees to winch from at several of the places where I'm looking to go. With a base of about 10 tonne plus camper (?13 tonne all up?), its going to sink like a stone and require a Schnook to get it out. that worries me. Wonder if walking outriggers are a possibility (with really big feet)?
@@TheRaptor1967 Not sure if proportionally the 6x6 would be more or less prone to sinking 6x6 is over 10 tonnes? Rolling chassis weight of standard length is around 5 tonnes and an optimistic all in weight of around 7.5 T ( UK car licence limit for us older folk) is feasible. Chassis may be RATED at 12T so very unstressed at 7.5. Yes armed with hydraulics, it is a temptation to add a moveable hydraulic ram for sticky situations!

I should stop trusting my memory. My idea of 6x6 being better in the mud was based on the idea of less overall weight per wheel. But I guess when your tracking through the same 2 tracks in the mud, might not make that much of a difference. I talked to a fabricator who also does design work on trucks and he basically said, forget walking legs. Make them large enough and strong enough to be practical and they would weigh too much and get in the way too much of the time. Lol. You would probably wind up getting stuck in the mud in places when you would not have got stuck without the extra weight. Think I'll look more at Bigger winch with a lot of extra winch rope, some winching blocks and maybe an A frame rig to bring the rope up to help pull the truck up and out of the mud.
