- We come to the end of our 2023 France Tour with four nights at a beautiful campsite Camping Chateau du Gandspette. We visit the campercar aire at Saint Omer and walk around the Cathedral before taking the dogs for their veterinary visit for Pet Health Certificate paperwork for re-entry to the UK. We make a stop at the Eperlecques Blockhaus Museum where we look around the concrete buildings intended to create the V2 Rockets in World War 2. Our final day out was at the beaches of Dunkirk where we park on the campercar aire and walk the beaches before visiting the museum. Thank yo to everyoe for your support on this tour.

What a great trip you’ve all had, thanks so much for taking us all with you. The cathedral was beautiful and the museums you visited bring home the reality of the history and events….. Loved following this tour, the site looked lovely, never been to this area normally you only pass through when you get to France, inspired me to check out the area in the future 👍
It’s surprising what there is in northern France and we could have spent the whole 4 weeks there. The Normandy coast is particularly interesting and peaceful 😃 Trev
That was handy for us to see the campsite, we have two nights booked there to start our September month in France off, hoping the weather gets better, looks like you had the same grey clouds as we have here on the Norfolk coast. You had some good videos in this series, looking forward to some good wine & taking it easy.

Shame that no one was using the sports areas. Especially that nice pool. It looked very clean. Love the old vw camper bus! Whoa! You gotta go through special hoops to get your fur babies back in the country? Had no idea. The church is gorgeous. I love the stained glass. Wonder if I could get some installed on my house 😂. Was you in a train car? Ugh did I miss something? Was that like a huge bomb shelter or something? Or just some type of military structure? Haha we can’t wait in the vet. Darbi gets very agitated. We wait outside until it’s almost time to go in. Got a vet appointment in the morning as a matter of fact. I always dread them. The bridge is cool. Hey I’ve seen that hotel on something before. If I remember right, it has a bit of history itself. Hmmm. First time seeing a beach tuba band. I think I caught every episode. Sure seems to go fast. I know our trips always seem to end quickly. I’m usually bummed about it. But then I start planning a new trip and get excited again lol
Hi Felix and Jessie, I filmed the pool and sports areas early in the morning as it is not seen as appropriate to film them without permission from the people you are filming. I am always careful to protect privacy just as you are on your channel 😊 The UK is now separate to France and other countries in Europe since Brexit and the governments have agreed that pet travel documents must be created up to 10 days before travel into or out of Europe. It’s expensive and some people think unnecessary bureaucracy. The Blockhaus was were the German Nazis tried to build V2 rockets to bomb England during WW2 but the RAF intelligence managed to attack and disable it in time. We were sad that the trip ended but we made amazing memories and have learnt lots. Thank you for all your support and comments 🚐😃💙 Trev n Sue
