I feel like he doesn't have a good father figure in life and seeing him listen to Steve makes me glad Steve can be a good father figure to anyone who needs it
That's what I was thinking!! Not excusing his actions, but I also don't think he ever really considered some of the points Steve was making. You can see it clicking in his head.
Wish I'd have had someone to talk to me like that. My dad was there but all he could do was say you're never going to graduate. He wouldn't say that when my mom was there.
I give props to the young man for doing the right thing and letting her go for her to do better. I know it hurts her and I can tell that the boy really did care for her or else her wouldn't be this emotional since it NEVER happens in these situations. At the end of the day, this was for the greater good!
@@cocoputhyxo - I truly hope she is a DEA Agent - but her reaction at the end hints at Not. It would be great to see an update and for her to say “Hey - you were all right. And I’m glad you stopped me from going down the wrong path.” Unfortunately, I don’t think we will ever hear that from her.
I last heard they're married and have a kid. She commented years later they're still together and have a kid. Someone commented years later that they're married and have a kid.
One day when she gets older, she will realize that her mom was right all along. She doesn’t realize it yet bc kids are kids and they do stupid stuff and they think they know everything. Been there, done that. Used to drink, smoke, play hooky, smoke weed. I’m just glad I wasn’t this bad. Went back to school, got my crap together. Now I’m married with three kids, have a good job, my own house.
- yessss I totally agree, he loves that girl and it DEFINITELY IS NOT RIGHT, but he is young and most likely don’t have a positive Father role model, and had his mom and a sister growing up but he has a heart. He genuinely wants what’s best for her. and you can tell he probably was the only one there for her in a way of listening, talking and her being herself, She maybe young but I feel she the one pushing to be with him, and also you can tell her mom doesn’t talk with her, she talks AT HER and that isn’t right, it’s makes a child act out 💯, pushing her to lean on him because she knows he cares. I hope they separate and in the future she’s a D.E.A and He has Several Paint Companies all over and they be together ! I’m claiming that for them 🙌🏾👏🏾✨✨
He wasnt bad. They were both underage.. We see gaps like this in age from our 20's and up in relationships and no one bats an eye.. A 5 year gap just doesnt look anywhere near as bad when ur older than when ur a teen for whatever reason.... But 19 is STILL a teen.. Shes 14!!!

But there is not a single day that goes by that I don't think about her. Being 13 and pregnant was Terrifying because I was just absolutely scared to death to tell my parents....... but a mother knows.....
My little sister is 13 and about to have her baby. I am so scared for her. I worry everyday at what kind of life she is going to have. I know babies are a blessing I have two of my own but her life if going to be a struggle with her still being a child herself.
It's very sad how common it is to see these young girls being with these older guys I seen it in high school my girlfriend also went through this when she was younger. These guys manipulate and mess these girls up mentally and take their innocent and everything they have and once those girls realize it it's too late because the damage is done it's a endless cycle that will never stop.
I know someone who adopted a young girl just to be with her son. They were the same ages as these kids. He was do used to his moms control and the girl was vulnerable and it ended up hurting both kids in the long run. They both have different lives and families of their own now but they both still struggle with what they were basically pushed into by a controlling mother who wanted to make sure she always had a hand in her sons life. Honestly she needs to rot in prison for it.
@@loudbud4207 it works with both not just the girls and like I mentioned these kids end up having their life's ruined and by the time they figure it out it's already too late
It's sad how common this is. I went to several different high schools and I've always met these girls who have an older boyfriend. They think it's cool and don't see the bigger picture.
I remembered in junior high I had home girls dating 18 year olds and we were like12. They getting picked up. Of course a few of us thought it was weird. I just couldn't be 18 and dating someone barely learning long division
Brother I went to those same kinds of high schools and middle Schools Luckily I found God when I was 25 and God opened my eyes and he set me straight straight like that God bless 😇✝️🙏🙏😇✝️
@@loganwithlightsabers3051 i agree shits weird what else drives me nuts is these 40-60year olds getting with 20 years olds and no one bats an eye they are a bunch of legal pedos my opinion
Wow I'm honestly shocked. I didn't expect him to take that huge step and leave her. Usually they double down and stay with the kid even when they shouldn't. I hope this little girl goes back to school. Finishes or even just gets her GED. Because they are right your life won't be good if you don't even have your high-school diploma. My mom dropped out in gr 9 or 10 I can't remember but I do know it was because she got pregnant. (This is the importance of using protection people!!) All kids were unplanned especially myself lol. Any who my mom dropped out, she could only get pathetic jobs, she worked hard, had multiple jobs with alot of hours just to get by. Trust me when I say you don't want to do that! You don't want to have to work at tim Hortons or McDonald's for the rest of your life. That's not somewhere you can make a living off of. You will be scraping by from paycheck to paycheck and it won't be a fun life. At least stick with high-school and get the diploma. Or even just get the GED which still works. It took my mom until all her kids where grown to finally get her GED and she did. I am beyond proud of my mom for getting her GED finally and just after she got it she got her dream job, she's always always wanted to be a psw but without the GED she couldn't. She's been working very hard during covid as a PSW and she's very happy and proud of herself, but I believe if she had the chance to go back she would have done things differently. I believe she would have stayed and finished high-school than got pregnant if she knew what she knows now lol. So please for the love of everything keep your legs closed till after you graduate high-school or at least use freaking protection please please use protection. You don't know where said dong has been and that dong could have an sti. Remember condoms are not just to protect against pregnancy!!!!! I understand places in the world have bad sex education but i believe this is just common sense that everyone should have. Don't have sex unless your ready both mentally and financially stable with a partner that your in a long term committed loving relationship with. Your not just fucking your life up your messing your child's life up by getting pregnant at 14. You cannt be a good mother at 14. I know I'll get hate for that but whatever you can't be a good mother at 14 bc at that age you can't even take care of yourselves fully. Children need to stop having sex and having babies. And that's that's you are a CHILD! You can think being a teen means shit it doesn't your still a fucking Child when your in your teens. You don't magically become not a child at 14. You are still underage and your brain hasn't fully developed yet. And honestly I'm just sick of seeing this selfish little girls thinking they can the on this responsibility than when the baby comes they whine about how hard it is and how they can't go out with friends anymore and shit..once you become a parent that's it. Your life is gone and your life now revolves around that baby you created. So think before you spread your legs. Really think. Is this small amount of pleasure worth 18 years of hardship when your still a child yourself? The answer should always ALWAYS be no you are not ready. No 14 year old is ready
It's because even though he was fully wrong for dating her in the first place, he was clearly not the issue of all of her problems so he does want what's best for her he doesn't want her skipping school, he is guilty of the intercourse and the age but not most of the rest of it
I was 14 and my boyfriend was 18 when we met, both in highschool and same group of friends. We met through mutual friends who were 14 and 17 back then. Me and my boyfriend had our daughter when I was 15 and he was 19, it was no harder than it would be if we had a kid today in our 20s. We moved in, got our own place, he got a better paying job and I got a babysitting job as well. Never had a single issue raising her, and as well, statistically there is no difference whatsoever in the amount of 25-35 year old moms and teen moms when it comes to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or postpartum mental health. My daughter is the most well behaved child I have ever met, and is beyond super smart and happy. Our friends who we met through had their daughter three years later and are now happily married.
@@shelbymasters that's wonderful to hear however not very common sorry. Most teen pregnancies don't work out like yours. My mom was young and had a kid too. She struggled so just bc your situation worked out doesn't mean others will. And raising a baby isn't easy so I don't agree you. Even in your 20s some people are not ready for kids. It's great you had a kid and your friends got married to there baby daddy but the majority of the time the women is left in the dust for her poor choices. And it has nothing to do with the statistics on which age neglects there children lmao its as simple as at 14 you cannot get a job you don't have money, your lucky your bf paid for everything. Some girls don't have that luxury of there baby daddy having a job which again like i said IF YOUR FINNACAILLY STABLE YOU CAN HAVE KIDS. or did you just simply miss that part? Lmao clearly i offended you by saying you were a bad mother at 14 but I still stand by it. 14 year Old should stop spreading there legs bc they want to feel loved or some bullshit. The fact is in your 20s your more capable of taking care of a young child that's just a simple fact. So I stand by what I said. 14 year old have zero business bringing children into the world and more than 50% of young mothers are immature and cannot take care of there kids.
Any job is a job chick x well done to ur mum for being a brilliant person an doin everythin she could for u x my mum was 16 when she got pregnant an well she still tells me to this days she regrets having me an am 32 now 🙈 x I always think maybe if she had me when she was older jus maybe she would of actually been a better parent x
@@shelbymasters I’m glad it worked well for you. I also became a mother under age.. and I landed myself in a horrible situation. It’s honestly not fair to the children to bring them into the world without being able to do the most possible for them. I however did get my GED, and have been a CNA for the past 10yrs. Always barely getting by, and was having to do it all on my own. My child would get to hear of other friends/classmates constantly getting to go do fun things such as going to Disney. It broke my heart I couldn’t give her those things, I couldn’t even give her as much time and attention as she needed because I constantly needed to work. Fortunately I met someone who loves her as his own, and has been able to give her the best. She’s been/seen more things in her lifetime than I ever got to experience. I’m very thankful to have met someone to love my child as his own, and be able to do those things for her. Unfortunately if I was still doing this by myself, life would be really tough right now. It’s so unlikely that hs couples stay together, or even that the father stays in the picture. Like I said I’m happy things worked for you, but wouldn’t give positive attitude towards the situation.
I had an old friend of mine who was in a similar situation. At this time, I'd say she had to be maybe 11. She got with a dude that was 18 or 19. If you seen him, he looked very young. He looked maybe 13 but he was 19. By the time she was 14, she quit school, was doing drugs, smoking and had 3 kids with him. I lost touch with her because she moved due to the fact her family got tired of watching her kids for her while she got high and etc. The guy left her soon after. Not long after, a friend of mine told me she took her own life.
That's not a full grown man ..I know he's legally an adult and I don't condone him being with a 14 year old, but his mind is still growing, he's still learning .. he doesn't seem like a bad guy at all ..both of them just need to grow up and get their priorities straight. I hope they did
I was in the same situation. I was in high school dating a 22 year old and I thought he was my everything but after a while he completely changed it took me almost getting sexually assaulted by him to finally get away and call the cops but that didn’t stop him from taking advantage of another girl at the same school. To find out from a friend that he raped her, kidnapped her and beat her to the point that no one recognized her and almost killed her and now he is doing multiple life sentences and will never see the light of day. I hope he does stay way and she does go back to school and eventually become a DEA agent

To be honest with you. I knew my girlfriend since I was 4 and she was 2. We were always close. Sadly she moved but she came back when we were both in 7th grade, 2 years later we were dating, I am 16 and she is almost 15, She was was born in 2007 and I 2005. She sadly past in a car accident at the age of 14. I will never forget her.
I don't think he really knew the consequences of the situation, I think he really listened to Steve and had an epiphany and really meant what he said. I wish him well too young man.
I feel that he really did love and care about her. They are both teenagers. Yes, there is an age gap, but sometimes I feel like people run with that. I was in a similar situation and people disagreed. My boyfriend was much older than me, but it’s your mindset. I still went to school, didn’t get on drugs, graduated and went to college. I don’t feel like he was being manipulative or pervy in this case. It was clear that he actually loved and cared about her. She was making the bad decisions and he proved himself by walking away.
yessss period i agree w everything. she made it clear that those decisions were solely based on her and that he had no influence over her. he definitely cared about her a lot but like steve said, to walk away when you know you NEED to (even if you don’t WANT to) is an act of love. 🥺 i hope he’s good in life now.
Sadly I don't think she meant it. I think he did, surprisingly enough. If it was that he actually did love her or just realized that having a part in messing someone else's life up is never fun. But her ... I think she's just going to find the next adult yet immature guy that can score drugs for her and keep going
They ended up getting married a few years down the line and had 2 children. Least that's what other folks are reporting as well as steve doing an update episode himself. If I can find it I'll post the link here.
That 19 year old kid showed more maturity walking away than countless people I've seen come on this show and for the young lady Steve is right you're not to far from 18 focus on school becoming the dea you want who knows what could happen
This is the sweetest guy! Made me cry, I was just like her when I was younger and can relate. He did the right thing! Hope they end up together later, I really do 🙏🏼 but she didn't understand the choice he took and was mad instead of proud over her boyfriend, standing up for both of them 🙌🏼❤️🌟❤️
I was 14 dating a 24yr old. My parents allowed it because he "straightened me up". I stopped skipping school & doing drugs. Moved 2 states away, got pregnant, then became a heroin addicted stripper. @@ftclud.-13yearsago53 They knew eachother when he was a kid. at 17 and with 19 no way in hell he is a responsible adult. Fact of life in my country, up till 21 you are not financially independent. No. But something tells me she could do a hell of a lot worse. And perhaps jumps onto the next guy she meets who might care a lot less about her then this guy does. This guy might actually take good care of her. And all the signs are telling me she needs a daddy and isn't having 1. Clear signs with just the mom there.

12 is a CHILD. You cannot honestly believe that a 17 yr old is in the same place emotionally, mentally, or physically as a 12 year old. Wouldn't happen since they both started dating at a time when they were both minors. A good attorney could destroy the case against him with simply the Romeo and Juliette law
I went through this with my daughter. Thankfully she graduated with Honors, straight A's because thankfully somehow she maintained her grades even though she wasn't there half the time but she also worked 40 hours a week in a nursing home all through high school. 1 week after graduation she married the idiot and I didn't see her for a few years. She finally came to her senses, divorced him and by then she was really angry with me because I didn't do enough to stop it but the law won't do anything with these boys.. Well, he did the right thing. Hopefully if they do reunite in the future, he won't be a criminal being brought in by her as a DEA agent but then again, it is funny how sometimes things happen where it reunites people but at the same time dude should have just ignored her advances and should have told her no because she was a kid and he though still also being considered a minor, was real close to adulthood and he should have left her alone.

If I was her I wouldn’t wait for someone who manipulated me when I was a child I would move-on and take that as a lesson and be with someone who respects me

Stop calling the guy a grown man. I don’t care if he’s 19 and legal, he isn’t grown. Going into 18 years of age doesn’t make you an adult psychologically or emotionally; they will still be trying to figure things out and are still pretty much kids themselves.

A girl who I grew up with was just like her. Into the exact same kind of lifestyle at the same age and would name off some sort of professional career if you asked her about her future, but you could tell she didn't know what she was doing to get there. She got knocked up at 16. She's now 28 and has 4 kids and her mother has full custody of all of them. Last I heard she was homeless and no contact with her parents.
Ok, so I think he should've said, "Go back to school, listen to your mom, and when you turn 18, you know where I'll be if you still want me then, but I don't wanna see you become nothing because I care." Or something similar. You could tell he really loves her, and technically, they're both still teenagers. He's just of the age, is the problem. It's only a 5-year difference, so maybe in 5 years, once she's gone through school and becomes something of herself, maybe fate will bring them both back. You know in the old days, I'm talkin' like 1930s, 1940s, people were marrying and having kids in their teen years, and some couples say their spouse was already 18 but they were still 15 or so, and they ended up together and are still together today, most of them. But that was how it was back then, and nobody really batted an eye over it. Because it was common. REAL common. It's not a bad thing for them to love each other. It's the law that's keeping them from being an actual couple. Of course, no mom wants to see her 14-year-old barely a teenager, with someone who's transitioning from adolescence to adulthood, because by society's rules, it's immoral, seen as disgusting, but they're only 5 years apart, so she can wait 5 years. That'll come and go fast. But at age 14, we should only be DREAMING of what our ADULT lives will be when we have children and marry. But that's not the case, mostly because when you're a teenager, you're gonna get curious about sex. Some teenagers would rather wait and not risk STDs or pregnancy, would rather not disappoint their parents, and some are naturally curious about sex, and they'll discover it on their own. I mean, shit, I was having a lot of sex when I was a teenager. My mom was okay with it as long as the boy was my age or close and I was on birth control and I was very careful with my sex life. I never got pregnant, but I sure as hell have never had sex with an adult when I was a teenager. To me, that was creepy. Now, if that guy on the show was 25 or older, then hell yeah I'd be VERY apprehensive about my daughter dating him. I would feel like he was overstepping the age limit thing. But 19 and 14? Not really right by society's rules, but really not bad per se. In my opinion.
Am I the only one who caught on to the fact that she’s 14 now and they said they started having s*x when she was 12 but she also says later on in the episode they’ve been having unprotected s*x for three years… something’s not adding up. If you’re wondering where she said it was for three years, it’s at 5:57
Both of these kids need some serious guidance. I’m completely against a 19yr old dating a 14yr old (really 17&12 was even worse), but he either does really care about her or he is one heck of an actor. I get the impression that he didn’t have much support/guidance and he seems very immature (emotionally) for his age. I seriously doubt they will stop seeing each other though. At this point, maybe mom should try supervised dating to keep her from sneaking out and being alone with him. It actually worked for me when I was 14 dating a 17yr old. My grandparents let him come to dinner and I church, but they watched me like a hawk (for good reason)
Yes I would love a update of both of them how they doing he was really caring and makeing the right decision for her I hope she dose good in life and go back to school so young maybe she can find a friend her age then someone older and he can find someone his age
I Agree 💯 he was hanging on Steve's every word it breaks my heart everyone on this earth deserves mother and father to love and support them

none of them do
Wish I'd have had someone to talk to me like that.
But everyone has a story and everyone’s lives has different paths with different outcomes. I was blessed to be where i am now

I can tell... at some point Steve realized he was dealing with 2 kids... I mean they're both teenagers for crying out loud... the boy isn't a villian and the girl isn't some damsel in distress being taken advantage of... they're both kids trying to navigate through emotions that most adults can't navigate through...
12 is a CHILD. You cannot honestly believe that a 17 yr old is in the same place emotionally, mentally, or physically as a 12 year old. I will say that this young man seemed extremely immature for his age and that should be taken into account but no 17 yr old should be doing ANYTHING with a 12 yr old child much less having sex.
@@kitkat7871 you clearly never went to middle school or high school
@@DRat_ I went to both, several actually because I moved around a lot due to my dad's job and I assure you that at 12 yrs old I wasn't thinking about the same things I was at 17, I can also assure you that at 17 the LAST thing I wanted to do was hang around with 12 yr old kids.

@@vismattress5760 i see everything wrong with that i think she’s being dumb and not thinking straight because she’s way to young to make decisions like that but he truly does care for her even if it’s weird.
I hope that girl looks back on this when she's emotionally matured and sees that that boy did really love her more than his need to be with her. "They got in his head" no hunni they told him the truth and he made a decision for your benefit and happiness because he loves you. Work hard. Become a drugs officer. If you love him back and love your mom then take life by the balls and show them you can be as great a person as they both see you as.
I love how Steve didn’t attack the guy 100% because he understands that he’s still young too and maybe not as immature as the girl but still immature and he guided him to making the right decision instead of completely shaming him and I bet the dude is a good dude and the girl is the real issue here but at least they did mention once that he can wait for her till she’s old enough and has a good mindset before getting into all this relationship mess. AMAZING EPISODE!!!
That poor guy was flat out CRYING after he said yes to walking away. I think there might have been true feelings there, but more like a First Love kind of thing. And I'm so happy Stebe managed to be able to get through to him and appeal to the guy's HEART. (I can't call him a boy, because he's not a child, but I can't call him a man yet, either. He's well on his way after this, but not quite there yet. I hope the best for him. He seems very sweet at the end of it all.)
When I was 15, this 23 year old was messing with my homegirl (who was also 15). Kinda crazy how nobody raised a flag
He cares for her. You can see it. This story is tough.

That young man did the right thing but you can see it hurt both of them!
I tried and there wasn't anything else I could do legally. Today she is 25 & a successful surgical assistant for a major eye surgery clinic and has a very successful life. Thankfully she never got pregnant by some miracle so her future worked out. Meanwhile her loser ex-husband is now about 30 and STILL chasing 13 year old girls and their Mothers are always contacting us asking how to get rid of him. 🤦♀️

The guy should be arrested and the girl needs discipline
The mother said she had him arrested but there was no proof so he kept getting let go
what for? you all acting like the girl was forced he didnt hurt her or rape her, she chose to be with him and they inlove. and dont come at me saying this and that. i have seen successful relationships like this they've worked out better than have the people of today. I lost my v card to a 19 year old when I was 12. I also have daddy issues
Now I am 19, nearly 20. In a relationship with someone older.

@Christina R what kind of therapy?
You like older man that's fine as long as he's treating you right that's totally find my husband's older than me but I didn't start dating older men until I was 18 but I understand where u coming from
I think he meant it. Although even if they waited until she was an adult I don’t think her mom will understandably approve given what’s happened. But I’m concerned this may backfire and she ends up going for someone older who really doesn’t care and will encourage her to make bigger mistakes.
If she is 18 there is nothing her mom can do approval or not
If I was her I wouldn’t wait for someone who manipulated me when I was a child I would move-on and take that as a lesson and be with someone who respects me
I was groomed myself and It caused me alot of pain I’m moving forward with my life but I still do struggle mentally I’m working on it and I hope she does the same he really Isn’t worth it

I think this young man really needed a father. Her too
He was such a sweet guy, you can tell he really loved her and was not one of these assholes who was just with her to get in her pants. Yes, he was 19 and she was 14 but if you see his body language he was really hurt. I trust in Steve he's good father figure 🙌
Stop calling the guy a grown man. I don’t care if he’s 19 and legal, he isn’t grown. Going into 18 years of age doesn’t make you an adult psychologically or emotionally; they will still be trying to figure things out and are still pretty much kids themselves.

I have to say that was the best episode of the Steve show I have seen. Glad to see someone on there actually make a good choice instead of just being an ass. Would love to see an update on this one.
16 is legal though. 14 isn't. By society's "norms" what she did was "acceptable".

One of the best shows ever.

Awe..... way to go young man. I bawlled
That bean poles lisp is astounding!
Man Steve Wilkos is the best!!!! Not many like him now and days.
Am I the only one who caught on to the fact that she’s 14 now and they said they started having s*x when she was 12 but she also says later on in the episode they’ve been having unprotected s*x for three years… something’s not adding up.
If you’re wondering where she said it was for three years, it’s at 5:57
Maybe she started it in 11 yrs but her mum gotta k it when she's 12yrs
Fair play Young man, Huge pat on your back.
Since they both started dating as minors a good attorney could get him out with simply the Romeo and Juliette law.
His hair cuttttttt 😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
Yes I would love a update of both of them how they doing he was really caring and makeing the right decision for her I hope she dose good in life and go back to school so young maybe she can find a friend her age then someone older and he can find someone his age
