An underrated thing about smart switch is that it will also transfer your sideloaded apk apps too. Crucial for me bc I make custom apps and stuff for my wife and it's nice that it transfers

Wireless would be too slow. So, just take C to C cable or C to OTG cable instead. Wireless shows multiple hours left but wired shows only around 10 minutes left.

What if your old phone has a virus or something that was planted through some other method used by purchasing on a site you were not aware of: ? Doesn't that also transfer over in new device ?
Which Smart Switch to ues? I'm transferring from one carrier to another, a Samsung A12 with an SD card to a Samsung A15 that does not allow an SD card. Help!
Migrating between android phones when you have both phones is really easy, the problem is when something happens to your old phone (lost, stolen, etc). Apple is way ahead of android in terms of cloud backup and stuff, I hope they improve this in the coming years.
What happens if I only have one SIM card for WhatsApp? Do I leave my sim in the old phone then backup and then switch the sim to the new phone and restore? Or is it another way?
If you still have service (like Wi-Fi) on the old phone you can swap the SIM out. If not, your method works.
Can you elaborate a bit more on Factory Reset by means of using Samsung Cloud (you said you've done one after installing UI 6.1)? How is it done and will it be easy to retrieve the data from Samsung Cloud after the Factory Reset? do you have a video on this subject or can you recommenced one?

there are another way to move the messages of whatsapp
find your whatsapp folder on the old phone and compress it to zip file
then transefer this file to ghe new phone
uncompress it
thennn open whatsapp and it will scan to find out if there are any folder ment to whatsapp

Great video and complete tutorial for transferring data and WA. But I wonder if we still need to back up all chats even if we choose Transfer Chats? I just tried to Transfer Chats WA from old phone to new phone but then the new phone didn't show any QR code, at the same time, the WA account on the old phone has been logged out. 😢 Or probably we really should use Wifi connection even if both phones has cellular data?

@Lxrd_Jay101 exactly! That is crazy. I spent all day, prayed about it then it came to me the next day...just did it one at a time, instead of trying to transfer all at same time. So I did 1 at a time wirelessly and it worked. There were a very few texts/pics in texts that didn't transfer. But I would say 99% did. Hope this helps you not to spend a whole day like I did!
