Great Video. Thank You.
Tolles Video, danke !!
:)
What's the % of this hill and the length(average speed when climbing ?) ? Seems hard to climb... Does it worth to run beside the footbike instead riding on it ?
On flat, what speed can you easily attempt ? I am a long distances cyclist and would like footbike.. Thanks a lot
The women had to ride 6 km, 350m climbing, the men continued another 3 km and 300m climbing. The fastest woman rode it in 26:20 (13,7 km/h), fastest man in 36:50 (14,8 km/h)...
When the percentage is too high it can be worth it, even though sometimes it just feels nice when your legs are too tired to kick, to run for a while... but most of the time you'll not go faster by running. I heard that a lot of men couldn't keep going on the footbike on the last part and had to go walking or running. Unfortunately couldn't see this, since I was at the women finish.
Speed easily attempt... If you're long distance cyclist it must not be too difficult to ride 25 km/h 'easily', but it really depends of your condition.
In the marathon race the winner, Michal Kulka, had an average speed of 31 km/h. But, he's the european champion. The women's winner, Rosanne Reijne, had an average speed of 27 km/h.
Where are you from?

Could you advice a good and lightweight model to start with(not an entre model)? Thanks again
Okay! France have had some footbikers, but at the moment there are not many competing in the international races. I'm not sure if they organize national races, I don't think so actually.
If you want to take part in international competition (later), you can check www.footbikesport.net/en. Next year World Champs will be in The Netherlands.
If you add me on Facebook (Maxime Reijne), I can send you some names of France footbikers, if you want you can contact them then and they could tell you more about footbike in France.
