I love how neither player lets a call against her faze her, just intently gets on with her game. Especially Gohar, who's had some hothead moments in the past - she seems to be maturing fast. Every match ball saved is important experience.
Gohar relies purely on power shots, she is a talented player, but I think she needs to throw some effective drop shots there, I almost never saw her playing any.
Love this channel
Gohar's swing is really a bit excessive, hope she gets warned about that by a ref sometime soon.
a great game, well contested
Every time I see Gohar playing, I somehow automatically cheer for her opponent...I don't know why
Same here as well...
Tell me you don't like nouran gohar without telling me.
Lovely I see
High octane gohar vs judicious variety of sherbini.
Everyone is a winner 👍
in 6:44 he said stroke to sherbini, please explain to me why? thanks
Why does Gohar orten knock up while video review?
The two rallies starting from 9:40 show that the rules of squash might reinforce "dirty" play. In the first rally, Gohar was in the swing of Sherbibi and Sherbini didn't play the ball and the referee gave a let. In the next rally, Sherbini was in the swing of Gohar and Gohar played the ball and hit her opponent and the referee gave her a stroke. What I understand from this is that if you only care about winning, you should play like Gohar and the rules are going to be in your side. Am I missing something here?
I think a player should never be given a stroke if he hits his opponent. It should be a let ball.
in tie-breaks Sherbini time and again hits shots that come back too close to her body drawing the stroke
welily can beat sherbini, but had too much work against massaro and serme
How is that a no let at 20.13..cause of the decision Sherbini has another match ball. There was clear interference from Sherbini who played a poor BH ...too loose and didnt clear
Ref a bit biased towards El Sherbini?
Could not agree more, some calls were embarrassingly bad.
No, I wouldn’t agree with that, Gohar was making some really dumb plays trying to run into elsherbiny to get a let when she obviously could have gotten the ball
Yeti So biaised - unbelievable:)
That is what we call experience on the court, Gohar could hit the ball hard like john white and hit nicks like any other Egyptian players but that type of improvisation and decision making over choosing a line... not really biased although it seemed a little bit in favor of El Sherbini. It was okay.
why do pro players serve off of their backhand from the right side of the court?
Gets the ball down a line closer to the side wall as with the serve from the left side. Reverse if you're a left hander of course.
Not all of them. Willstrop serves facing his right side wall and is one of the best serves of the tour.
Gets the ball closer to the side wall as dalstonjazz said, plus it allows the server to see exactly what his/her opponent's position is.
It also puts you in a good strong position on the T...you can step onto the T straight from the serve without having to turn
Gohar is a good player but awful sportsperson.
'... the female fraternity' - Joey moving with the times and embracing some ambiguous gender definitions?
Terrible bias towards the higher ranked player.
