This lil romper is named "tiny dancer" did not win. I did win a judges favorite ribbon for my first knitting project, which is exciting. Im planning on post a short video on my channel showing all the items next week when they come home and i can read the feedback. There were so many talented fiber art entries.

This is so beautiful!! Im currently making it using a starting chain of 13 with a 3mm hook, im hoping to get a small 0-3/newborn size. Im about to start part 2, but for the ruffles, I've made a total of 4 rows and a total of 1 for the ribbing around the legs. It's turning out so cute!!
I’m completely stuck I’ve done front and back joined as said at beginning and then with h d c at other end the part where I join them is two different sizes one side has more rows and don’t match up the more rows I do the more the rows are out ?, can’t exp without picture

For the top part, do you still count 31 even if you’re making for a newborn? Because we start with a lower chain amount, the bottom row ends with 54, not 58. What should I do?
I believe she is correct....it couldn't possibly be 20.5cm tall...that would be double the size of hers in video and it would come up to the baby's armpits! I think it's either supposed to be 12.5cm tall or 20-25 cm wide!

Means to ss in the hdc the first from the corner just to join the 2 corners
Do you make front loop hdc or both loops? I cant tell but yours looks different fron mine
It looks like it, but it's not. She confirmed in a later comment that it is a normal HDC

for some reason i can't get the part 1 to 20.5 cm i've tried different yarn and hooks 3 different and i get 11,5cm for the 39sts

I think it’s width measurement and not length. I had the same issue!
I also get 11.5 so I agree with other comments. Maybe it’s the width that’s supposed to be 20.5. I’m going to chance it and carry on. Wish me luck 😂
