The last woman got me. She not only protected the victims but asked the bullies if their life was unhappy. Almost all bullies are overcompensating for something bad happening in their lives where they feel they have no power or control, and take it out on someone they deem weaker in an attempt to regain power. It's a circle of stress and victimization. Break the wheel, check on them too and let the victim know it was never about them personally and they deserve more than accepting that treatment for any reason. I've seen situations where the bully really wanted to be friends with the victim, was even envious of them, and perspective was invaluable. Could even result in the bully and victim becoming friends. Healing is needed all around, and that lady knew it.

I experienced the same throughout my school years from Grade 1 up until Grade 12. I was bullied and harassed every day and to this day, I still don't have a single clue as to why I was bullied. It didn't make me feel good at all. My self-esteem was down and I rarely spoke to anyone about it. No one stood up for me back then.

Being confident and extroverted in a high school setting and going on to bully people in their career may make them a lot of money, but they will never find the true happiness or purpose in life that their victims grow beyond and achieve

Notice that if there is a crowd...very often, nobody does anything. If it's just one person, they frequently take action. This is why, when you are in an emergency situation (as a victim or a responder) you choose someone in the crowd and say, "call 911" or make a directive like "help me"...because that singles out responsibility rather than allowing them to be a passive observer who is triggered and shocked by what they see.

teacher took me to the office sat me down in a room and just sat there and said to me i know exactly how your feeling right now as i went through as did the same as a kid , i'm going to leave the room and leave you be to calm down ...come see me when you're feeling a little better ...after a long chat and such things went on as usual.

I had a bully in grade school that kept chasing me. I was much stronger than the other kids my age and I really did not want to hurt anybody. I told my dad about it and he said that unless I stood up for myself, he would keep doing it. One day I stopped and beat the hell out of him. He just needed a little attitude adjustment. He stopped being a bully to me and everyone else and we, actually, became friends thoughout middle and high school. He was a nice guy with his new attitude.

I always wondered if another teen would see this happening and just decide to knock both the girls out. Wouldn't condone it but like you can't really blame him either.

The sad thing is bullying is getting worse and worse when will people learn that the person that they are bullying has to live not knowing what’s going to happen to them and sadly some people are their lives because Thayer have been bullied i worked for a charity and one of the volunteers bless her was very quiet and nervous when she started and one day she started talking to me and she said what she had been though. i was nearly in tears i felt so sorry for her and when she told me what had happened i said did you tell the school and your parents or even the police and she said no because i was scared that they might call me stupid or a liar or i might get hurt i said but it wasn’t just bullying they actually hurt you i said its should have been reported i couldn’t believe what she told me and the fact that she had told nobody up until she plucked up the courage to tell me. She would lock herself away after been bullied she was scared to be out in public and always had headphones on so that she didn’t hear what people said around her to block everything out it must have been so hard for her

please BE CAREFUL around these situations!! yes its about being a Good Samaritan etc, BUT, I would not intervene unless I knew FOR CERTAIN that ONE, they did not carry any dangerous items on them, and TWO they were not part of a larger group waiting nearby. Lots of people get seriously hurt or even killed intervening in such situations.
if u see weapons on them or any sign that they are part of a gang, like tattoos smoking etc, WALK THE FUCK AWAY. do NOT get involved if u value ur life!!!
