I noticed the introduction of leaving the camera behind, smart technique. The place you live is very beautiful. Nice to see you on the road again, Richard. 🚲👌👌
Your roads are still okay, no potholes. Your place is the same as here when the schools are closed lots of children especially the youth crowd the streets. 🧒🧒. I like the soundtrack. No sooner had I mentioned the potholes, than you gave the explanation. 5:19 reminded me of my drawings.
I know the time the leaves grow back on those trees, we will all smile.
We don't mind the trash cans, They bring us closer to home.
"Let's speed up the action" then music🎶🎷🥁🎸🎺🪘🪇
The cemetery... 😂😂 I play racing games on my phone, these rides always remind me of them.
It is true, the road near the end, looks cool, I'd take a walk there many times.
The beach, yeeees. A beautiful boat, ending the adventure.
I am sure Mrs G is preparing a wonderful meal.
We enjoyed the ride very much. I wish you both a blessed week. 🎉🎉❤

Hello Berina, thank you for watching. I have been able to get out and ride this contraption and really enjoy it. I did the video in early May and the leafless trees didn't really make for a colorful ride. However, you get to see the real Southwest Michigan on trash day. LOL It is much different here in June as the trees are green as can be right now. We have had a hot spell this week, temperatures in the 90 degree (F) range. Our beautiful green lawn is now turning brown. All the rain we had in April and May is avoiding us now when we need it. Such is nature! I used a small tripod to get the shots of me riding on the road. It takes a lot of editing out to get the final clip but is pretty cool when completed. Unfortunately, I have been having some knee issues. Not like our friend, Martin, but still becoming a proablem. I have a difficult time walking without pain and next week cancelled golf with the groupj. Looks like a knee replacement looms in the future. Mrs. G had her right knee replaced and is doing well. She was in much more pain than I was. Anyway I digress. I hope to still be able to ride the trike this summer as it doesn't seem to bother my knee so much. Not as much weight on it makes the difference. Have a great weekend and I'll be watching your latest viceo later today.

Hopefully, the next ride will show you some trees with leaves, flowers, and I'll make sure it is not trash day. LOL However, the porta-pots are always a part of the scene as new construction along the lake forever continues. I am dealing with some very sore knee issues so riding only a couple times a week now short distances. I didn't hurt it like our friend, Martin, mostly old age related. Anyway, thanks for watching and keep producing those marvelous tunes. Have a great weekend.

Nice first narrated ride on the trike. How are things in traffic on a trike compared to a conventional bike? Do you think one is better than the other in this respect? Take care and ride safe. Jay

Hey, Jay, thanks for watdhing. I have found the traffic on the road to be very polite up to this point. With the flags and blinky lights they must be mystified by what they are seeing and tend to swerve away giving much more distance than when riding a bike. As far as I can tell, there are only three in the area and are a curiosity to most folks. Some folks have asked if I am disabled (maybe mentally) as the thing looks like the electric wheelchairs that the elderly ride. Oh my lord, I am elderly. Right now I am facing a very sore right knee that is not getting better. My last trip to the doctor was not encouraging and a knee replacement looks like it is looming in the future so my rides are relatively short and usually only theree times a week. However, with the emotor, it is just like spinning and it doesn't seem to hurt as much as walking. I can adjust the assist level and the gear if I start to feel any pain. Anyway, enough of my problems (many folks are much worse off) and I wish you a great weekend. Stay safe and ride on!

Wow, you're game riding on the highway, Richard - nerves of steel! How far did you ride & is it easier or harder on your body than a regular bike? It all looks so different in summer - I thought that area with so many trees looked really nice! Here, they cut down everything! Very cool perspective! :)

Good day, Martin. Yes, this is much easier on my shoulders, backside, and especially my sore right knee. I'm back to the doctor on Tuesday for that.. It's not as serious as your unfortunate issue, but it still has gotten very sore lately (I'm blaming walking the golf course). I do ride back roads here, mostly along the lake or out in the farmlands. I know which ones are better to ride than others from experience. The point of view was hard to get used to, but now I am accustomed to it and just enjoy the ride. Thank you for watching, your support, and your friendship here.

@@whatsupwithrichard It does look very comfortable! (and fun) Have you tried turmeric/black pepper tablets? Fixed my knee in 33 days - from a painful, debilitating limp to zero symptoms - worth a try! Have you seen any other trike riders on your travels? :)

    • @whatsupwithrichard
      @whatsupwithrichard  4 місяці тому +1

@nottherealmccoy4955 If I can find them, I'll give them a try. I know about turmeric and its anti-inflammatory characteristics. Have to make sure it won't interact with the other meds I take. Only know of two other trike riders in the area. One fella, an engineer, built his own, and another fellow whom I met last year on my bike. Have not either on the road yet this year

@@whatsupwithrichard The crazy thing was, day 32 - no improvement or discernable benefit - Day 33 (etched in my memory!) no pain, no limp, no symptoms - as if it had never happened! Still take one per day - no interaction with other medications. Have recommended to 5 people - 2 have had similar results, the other 3 no change!! Well, you're a pioneer - cool being a bit quirky & innovative - keeps us young! :)
