To answer - somewhat belatedly - the original questions you asked in your introduction: Amira (pronounced Ahmeerah) Willighagen (you pronounced her surname correctly) was born on March 27, 2004 in Nijmegen, Holland. Her father is Gerrit Willighagen, a Dutch electrical engineer and an amateur musician who plays Piano and Organ; and her Mother is Frieda Willighagen, a South African lawyer and also an amateur musician (Violin) of Boer descent (i.e. her native tongue is Afrikaans, which is a derivative of the Dutch colonisation of South Africa some four hundred years ago). Amira won Holland's Got Talent outright in December 2013, and got a recording contract with Sony Masterworks, and a singing coach (Maike van der Wiele) who coached her through her first album in February 2014. Andre Rieu saw the video of Amira's audition in October, and invited her to a master Class which took place in London on December 7, 2013. As you will have noticed, this performance with Andre in Maastricht took place on July 11/12 2014, so you are 10 years late in finding it. It currently has 90 million views on Andre's You Tube channel alone and at least double that on all the other channels.

Great to have you back doing reactions and looking forward to your opinion of Amira. Let me fill you in on part of her journey. Amira won Holland’s Got Talent at age 9, without having a single singing lesson. From the age of 7, she taught herself by watching uTube videos of Maria Callas & others by mimicking mouth movements, vibrato & breath control etc. Also age 7, whilst in Sth Africa, she saw school children playing in the dirt without playground equipment & said that when she had some money she would supply this equipment. To date, some 23 schools have been given equipment which is also maintained. Anyway, back to her singing: after HGT, Amira performed in some 20 countries & sang in at least 6 languages. She is however, fluent in Dutch, English & Africaan. She is now 20 y.o & studying her Batchelor of Music equivalent at Pretoria University, Sth Africa. I’m unsure how further studies can improve an already perfect voice, but time will tell as her voice matures when in her mid to late 20’s. I love Amira. Check out Ave Maria Gomez which she sang in a church accompanied by her father playing organ, her brother playing violin and her mother playing the recorder. This is also at a very young age. You will be amazed. Thank you for the reaction
Great reaction! Amira performed an aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi by Puccini. Anyway, she has always felt perfectly at ease when singing in front of a big audience. However, in my humble opinion, her very best performance took place in a little Dutch church, in 2015, with her rendition of Ave Maria by William Gomez. Maybe you could react to this... She was incredible, in the real sense of the word.
Thank you for leaving your comments to the end and for devoting most of your screen to the performer; few Reactors do that! Amira was 10 then so 20 now. You have a lot of catching up to do. Amira now lives in South Africa and has been singing constantly around the world since this performance. Operatic arias, classic crossover, hymns, musicals, etc. At the age of 12 she sang O Sole Mio with Patrizio Buanne, and the Sound of Music Medley at age 15. Last year she was invited back to HGT All Stars to perform 10 years after her first audition (see the full segment which includes the panel's comments and a biographical sketch). See also her duet last year with Ruhan Du Toit in the Phantom of the Opera (2023 is the best one). For fun, see The Little Drummer Boy (age 16). There is so much more. I know how you feel... in early 2015 I accidentally hit on her audition for Holland's Got Talent when after watching a film late one night I went to UA-cam to hear more of a band whose music had been playing in the film... I could not believe what I heard and spend hours more watching every one one of Amira's videos that were on UA-cam and ordering her CD from her charity foundation Gelukskinders which she had set up with help of adults the previous year aged 10 and used her first performance earnings to build the first of many playgrounds she would build in deprived townships in South Africa where her mother is from. Gelukskinders means Lucky Children in Africaans. The video's of those playground openings on the Gelukskinders website are heartwarming... Since then I have been a huge fan ...and her videos as she grew through her teens to young adulthood are all astounding, many and varied.. You are in for a great journey through them.

With 62 million views in the last few months take a look at 15 year old Emma Kok singing the song "Voila". Emma Kok sang with the same orchestra and conductor Amira Willighagen sang with on the same Vrijthof square in The Netherlands. The conductor is called Andre Rieu, he is known to give young talents like Amira Willighagen and Emma Kok a chance. Emma Kok her stomach is paralyzed so she has to be on feeding tubes 22 hours a day. Her motther is always backstage to hook her back up to the feeding tubes. André Rieu the conductor asked 15 year old Emma to go on worldtour with him, she has performed in many countries already . P.s. André Rieu the conductor and his orchestra are famous around the world. He is the 6th best selling artist in the world after Taylor Swift, Rolling Stones etc. André Rieu does 100 concerts a year around the world. His 70 people orchestra and his technical staff to built the stage with fly all over the world with him. Back in the day André Rieu had the biggest stage that was ever built in history. The stage was a replica of a life size castle in Vienna, the stage also had 2 ice skating rings with ice dancing couples on it. The castle-stage in some cases was too big for a football stadium so they had to leave parts out sometimes. When André Rieu went to Australia he was on the news channels every night. 7% of the Australian population went to his concerts and people who could not get a ticket, they saw a livestream of the show in cinemas around Australia. André Rieu's performances with his orchestra and singers are epic. I believe they perform in New York and Miami as well.
Try out HAGANE - power metal band, JUNNA joined them on drums, though their MV is popular now, i prefer Hero Time - other song from new EP, JUNNA smashes drums there 🔥🔥🔥 I suspect that this song has been written personally for her, so she could beat all the shit out of drums there :D
