for all those misinformed ppl out there. David Belle did not invent parkour. He invented the NAME parkour. Not the sport. Parkour has been around for a very long time. David Belle and Foucan just took it and gave it a name and gave the moves names. He even said it himself in one of his interview vids
I'm not sure (this is my own interpretation) but I believe the purpose of this is to show that there cannot be a "better world". If there is, it is one without human beings (for even in DB's dream, that's where the problem is coming from)

I suppose he was drifting in and out of his Quantum of Solace. It's interesting that Daniel Craig does a little free running in the beginning of Casino Royale. Free running is fun to watch but I don't think people would sit through one and a half hours of it, especially if there was no plot development.
uhh, have you done any research, it was started over a hundred years ago by Georges Hebert. he was a former naval officer before WW1, he traveled around africa and saw the way the native peoples behave and acted in life, when he returned to france ha became a gym teacher and later developed the origins of parkour.
um actually watch "Yamakasi." He says him self, no one invented it. Its been there forever. He just started doing it again and its "new" only because ppl have evolved and forgotten. Its not something to be a founder of. Watch the film on google video and it has the whole thing. Its like 70 min long.
This is actually intended as French comedy. The problem was Jerry Lewis wasn't available. Admit it, it would have been hilarious if the Belle knew how to make "crying" noises like Lewis during those cartoon moon walks. "Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!"
it is a very sureal moment, im sure it is really like that in the line of fire, everything is just very sereal in slo motion!1 like as if you are not there, escaping your mind to somewhere else, then snapping in and out back to actuality!1

I like David belle and i also like some french movies but i don't like the french language and i think this movie is stupid, unrealistic and bad.
While my favorite film with this guy is Banlieue 13, somehow, I think that M4 carbine suites him rather well actually. Pity he died, though.
