I grew up the '80s in a town about an hour drive from Namur. Every year i went with my father to watch the GP in Namur. Memories.... I still often go there and i always feel sad this came to an end. The most beautifull track in the world. Thnx for making this. Can't wait for the next video 👍
Iconic track alright, glad you're making this series, I've looked a couple of times on google earth if you could see any remnants of the old track but impossible to see anything really, this is as good as it's going to get from someone who actually raced there walking the old track with inserts of how it was, thanks a bunch.
I was there every year from like 12 to 14, Twenty years ago. I went back a few times trying to find my way back on the track but I got lost after a few hundred meters. I can't wait for part II
Great job Rob. Looking forward to the next episodes. An iconic venue. I was lucky enough to get there in 1992 and 1993 to spectate. Not your average Mx track! Great memories.
mate thank you :) I remember as a kid racing mx in Australia the only way at the time to follow the GPs was via MXA magazine. My two other racing buddies and I would take turns buying each months mag and remember the photos of the GP here and thinking wow we want to race on that cool trackkk thx again
Awesome video! You think the neighbors would be mad if you fired up a 500 and cut in the old track? Looking forward to the next episode Thank you for putting this together
2007 was the last MXGP here. (Don't seem that long ago). After that, the Grand Prix of Belgium moved to Lommel due to various logistical and safety reasons. You can understand why from your footage.

Question de protection de l’environnement, d’après maxime prévot ?
@@Jessy413-pk13 Yes good point. Combination of all these factors.
