    Can you do this with no music or tone it down to 5% of the ambient

    Can this be mounted on top of a 98 Honda Accord sedan? That can swivel 360 degree's in both left and right directions as well as level the burner several degree's? I live in a rough neighborhood.

    Are the tubes heat resistant or there's no heat transfer from the heat to the nozzle? I'm confused...

    This brillian idea, no contact metal between burner chamber and oil nozzle & pressure air

  • @roberttill3787
    @roberttill3787 5 років тому +1

    Waste oil burners are similar to paint spray guns, there are two types. Both types use air to propel the paint, but one type sucks the paint up the other relies on gravity feed. As the air pressure is varied in a spray gun by a central needle it drags up the paint. In both types the paint flow can be increased or reduced by restriction in the flow pipe feeding the nozzle.This alters the mixture of pain to air, and a waste oil burner is no different. The air pressure and the oil quantity both need to be adjusable to get the ideal air/fuel mixture. This burner obviously works well, but i feel if the air flow and the oil flow were both independently adjustable, a very good burner could become awsome!

  • @jeffrunyan7706
    @jeffrunyan7706 6 років тому +2

    The larger hose supplies volume and reduces restriction of flow I would assume.

    • @roberttill3787
      @roberttill3787 5 років тому

      If oil volume increases you need ever more air so the air to fuel ratio is maintained. Its actually a case of being able to control airflow rate AND oil flow rate independently so that an ideal mixture can be achieved. Reducing fuel restrictions would just make the burner very inefficient.

    I appreciate the time you put in and the effort you go to with these videos, I'm sorry to say but I honestly think (at least this one) would be soooooo much better without that music. Your priceless info is lost thanks to rubbish noise.

    How to eliminate the music from this video: Click on the "Pause" icon. Mute or turn the volume on your viewing device all the way down. Click on the "Full Screen" box on the bottom far right of the screen. Click on the "CC" (Closed Caption) icon on the bottom of the screen. Click on the "Play" button.

    Had to mute the sound some kind of shit music in the background. You can make a real simplified venturi nozzle with a mig tip, barbed fitting drilled and tapped with mig tip attached then thread to your 1/4 inch tee with your air supplied as you have done. Or pick up a cheap undercoating gun at Harbor Freight it will do the same thing and safe you build time

    You wouldn't be able to melt iron with this as the combustion chamber IS iron and clearly not getting to that temp.

    • @NOBOX7
      @NOBOX7  3 роки тому

      not true , you have insufficient information to make this claim , i have burners that run colder then this that can melt iron in 12 minutes in a foundry

    • @shanestevens622
      @shanestevens622 3 роки тому

      @@NOBOX7 Sorry, but how does the temp in the furnace get higher than the burner temp

    • @darkfielddiggermicrosafari
      @darkfielddiggermicrosafari 2 роки тому

      @@shanestevens622 The foundry/furnace is insulated and minimizes heat energy loss, in other words, the heat accumulates. Whereas the burner is in the open and loses a lot of caloric heat to the surroundings.
