  • View the ocean floor like it's never been seen before in this amazing animation of planet earth without its water.
    The depths have been exaggerated to allow the viewer to comprehend the scope of the ocean floor.

    So all that talk about earth being smoother than a ping pong ball was bs? 🤔

  • @M4JEST1K666
    @M4JEST1K666 12 років тому +2

    What is so astonishing about this is you can see the scaring on the planet as well as the depth shows something hit the earth many, many, many years ago!

  • @dukeon
    @dukeon 4 роки тому +2

    It should be stated somewhere that those differences in elevation are exaggerated many, many times in order to show contrast. If the earth were the size of a bowling ball, it would be smoother than any bowling ball in the alley - even a brand new one in the pro shop. So yeah-mountains and trenches a few miles up or down don’t amount to much when the planet is 7000 miles in diameter. It’s also 22,000 miles in circumference btw, and 22/7 gives a decent approximation of pi: 3.14(it’s inaccurate to any more places). Now you know!

    Why is it that certain pieces of land are purpusefully higher and where the water is its way lower as to accommodate the water. Why can't it all be one height.

    • @lan5142

      Actually the titanic never sunk they sunk the Washington instead it was on its last leg they made the titanic look just like the Washington inside and out except for one of them had an extra port hole! That’s why so many central bankers canceled their trip at the last minute including Jp Morgan who removed all of his bronze statues it’s leaked out you can research it it just hasn’t came out As a major story yet!

    The scale can't be accurate. Pause the video around the 0:33 second mark. That shows you 2000 miles of African coastline. So the African continental shelf drop-offs would be at least a hundred miles on that scale! No frickin' way is the ocean 100 miles deep off the coast of Africa. Then there's the Mariana Trench (deepest point in all the oceans). Even the bottom of that is less than 7 miles deep (Mariana-Trench). I can run that in about an hour. Just an eyelash width on the globe. Yet it's shown as a vast gash in the "globe" in the video.The video presented here is not a representative of reality. It's a log function or some multiplier. This video should say that at the git-go.

    Imagine a supermassive earthquake to happen causing all the salty waters to sink back deep into the Earth in days.., then after a few decades various pouring sweet waters and melting sweet waters from old continents and islands start to create all sizes of lakes and rivers in areas where oceans used to be while climate changes so rapidly there into tropical one and human survivors abandoning old continents migrating and settling there in newly appeared abundant environment..A new era started.
