I think one of the best things that draws me back to your videos is cause yes you put a cash value on stuff but more importantly you talk about games that are more valued to you because of sentimental value and play value which is why I like collecting games
Thanks Jay for taking the time to visit and take video of the booth! Greatly appreciate the mention in your video and hope you are enjoying the Sega Master System arcade controller. The SMS is a wonderful system and having that arcade controller over the original one for the console makes the experience even better.
I picked up one of Brian's 5200 controllers, great quality product. I highly recommend his controllers. I plan on buying more. See you next year Jay probably at Corgs in May.
Hi Jay! I've been meeting to reach out to you after we got back from TORG on November 5th. My husband, David and I are who you met in the parking lot and walked to the convention together. We just watched this video and we wanted to thank you so much for the amazing shout-out. Our mouths dropped because we were so surprised and it meant so much to us (that you even remembered us) that we had huge smiles on our face. We are so sorry we didn't find you throughout the rest of the event. We will be going to CORG in May though and hope we can manage to meet you there (or other events). We will be reaching out to Brian at Pittsburgh Gaming Expo as we would love to have you there (I will have to private message you another time once I send the email). We also picked up Brett's books as well and John's Sega game that I fell in love with. As far as the Sega Master System is concerned, my favorite game is *Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego. " it is worth playing. Anyway, we absolutely loved your video (as well as your others of course), and we are so happy and thankful we got to meet you! We look forward to seeing you soon and hanging out again! -Sandeen and David
I was so happy to meet you guys there!! I look forward to seeing you guys again down the road - I'll definitely be at CORGS! And any good word in to the folks at the Pittsburgh show would be greatly appreciated. :)
@@SquarePegs We cannot wait to see you at CORGS and get to hang out some more! We will be more than glad to put in a good word Brian and his team at the Pittsburgh show for next Fall for you :)
It's a FANTASTIC city for retro game hunting! Loads of standalone stores, loads of Half Price Books, and two spectacular retro gaming conventions in CORGS and TORG.
battle of Olympus in box!! man jealous. That game is so underrated... That boss fight music is so good, makes me so anxious. Really all the music is so great.
Sounds like you had a great time and looks like a great show, especially for a one day event, quite the turn out. Warp Zone--that chainsaw, is that a Lollipop Chainsaw? That's awesome. Love the work by Wall Knots. Awesome finds on the NP! Love collecting that set, think we're about 7-8 off from the first 100. Gradius brings the quality AND the destruction of all other pickups. lol *crash* Always happy to hear from another R&C fan. SMRPG is so, so good. I remember back in the day being skeptical but it worked perfectly. And the music!! Dude, that Battle of Olympus box art is stellar! The game looks great too and I'm loving what I'm hearing of the premise, but the box art totally would've caught my eye for sure.
That WAS Lollipop Chainsaw! I think Darrin said it was one of the press kits? Absolutely incredible store, and Darrin was an A+ person to talk with. Battle of Olympus is SO GOOD. One of my all-time favorites. :)
Nice pickups! I met Brett, Reggie, and John but unfortunately didn't have the pleasure of meeting you, Jay. Perhaps I will see you next year if all goes well. I was fortunate to get the VIP pass due to my contributions to the video game museum. VIP is definitely the way to go. I was told that TORG is looking for a bigger venue next year so hopefully the crowded aisles won't be as bad. Still a great convention though. 😁
They announced on their Facebook page both a bigger venue AND it's going to be a two day show in 2023! I hope we get the chance to meet up down the road!
@@SquarePegs your welcome and thank you! Like someone else said I like seeing the value but also the sentimental behind it! There’s some games I still want in my collection cause of that. Hope to one day meet you!
Excellent picks up my friend. I just recently dug out my old PS3. I bought an HDCP bypass device… and it works great. It works great with Elgato… but doesn’t work with AverMedia.
Sounds like it was a great trip filled with lots of awesome people and experiences. Warp Zone looks really cool too. Glad you were able to grab some stuff there as well. That hockey game looks like so much fun but that name though, marbles in the mouth 😂😂 Love the art you were gifted and so great that you were able to support some amazing peeps in the gaming community. Sorry I’m so behind on vids and commenting. Busy time of year.

Okay, definitely adding Columbus to my list of game hunting destinations! Great video, man!

I was exhausted after that show was over with. But it was a massive improvement over last year's for sure.
I grew up in Columbus, not far from Hilliard. I need to get back to visit.

100% agreed!
TORG was AWESOME! And yes I agree, WarpZone is an AMAZING store!!!
I can't wait to go back!!
Dude Super Mario RPG! We played that in the hospital when our second daughter was born. Great pick.
That's so cool! What a great way to pass the time!
Looks like you had a blast. Love the look of that controller.
Ohio is a really good place for Retro games. My shop does quite well.

That Master System arcade stick loocks great.
I picked up Ramen man for the same reason. I haven't figured out how to play it though...
Always great to see you! Can’t wait for the next one!

Great video! I will have to check it out. Looked like a blast! Not too far either so that’s a plus!
Looked like a great CON. Never knew of that Hockey game on Famicom, I might hav to scout that one out.
It's stupid fun. Well worth tracking down!
Killer video!! Badly wish I could’ve made TORG but military obligation. I never played Mario rpg but I want to for sure!
Thank you for your service, Joshua!

That's gotta be what it is - I just switched over to an AverMedia capture device!
I live half hour away from warpzone its always a fun place to buy

Nice pickups !
If you saw someone in the NCR ranger coat and helmet that was me
I have to go through my footage, but I think I got a couple shots of you walking around! Did you have a good show?
@@SquarePegs definitely, can't wait to go again next year
Wait.. Walnuts?
Can I get a link or proper spelling to Google? I don't know what exactly that was but I'm interested....
Hah! Sorry, got a bit marble mouthed there. Wall Knots is the store. :)

@@SquarePegs awesome, thanks!
And I'm no doctor but.... Maybe get those marbles checked out. Doesn't sound normal. (love the content!)
The Marble Mouthedness has sadly kind of become a signature for me - so I don't think that'll go anywhere. ;) Thanks so much for watching!
🔥🔥🔥 +1 sub!
Thank you!!
thanks for the Dr. Mario shoutout! You can watch our matches at twitch.tv/thedrmc
