Lian Li has been killing it with great products this year. & I prefer the plate without paste since it makes it less of a headache when taking out & lets you apply as much or as little as you wish. Great video as always!!

This AIO rocks. Was a bit nervous to buy it because there weren’t many reviews and no tear downs of it but if anybody here is on the fence, it’s a good quality product. Easy to install on an AM4 socket and keeps my 3950x at around 60-65c full load. Happy cooling!
Mine is around 50-55c this aio is a beast

Nice video. I just built a PC, using a Lian Li 205M case, from Micro Centre. Thus far, I have a Wraith Prism cooler for the Ryzen 7 3700x CPU. But, have been considering an AIO.
Still on the fence about adding water to my PC. But, I guess time will tell...

Been considering buying this since it came out, it looks really great, I just don't know if going watercooling for the looks is worth it
Watercooling for looks AND performance!
For the looks alone, I wouldn’t use water cooling. But in some cases depending on your CPU, you could be missing out on performance if your CPU is hitting it’s thermal maximum before getting to its highest boost clocks. Your CPU is designed to keep itself safe, so if you don’t have adequate cooling you could be leaving performance on the table.

An aio dosent require any maintenance, I've used an nzxt kraken pump daily for nearly 4 years with no issues!
A bit of a non-stock setup, but another idea for a video would be swapping the stock fans with the Lian Li Unifans to see how they compare
Hoping they offer these with the unifan in the near future. I'd happily pay extra !

The ST120's (stock ones that come with the Galahad) actually have higher Max Airflow and higher Max Static Pressure than the Uni's. I just preordered a pack of 3 on Newegg for $40. Coming out as a 3 pack on 12-12
@@alec57 Those are designed for radiators so it's not that surprising. Most people want to uni fans for the daisy chain and look rather than performance.
@@MadvillianI got them because I can't break the bank on fans and still wanted a good trusted brand. Unfortunately they arent the most eye popping things and cant daisy chain, you're right. Paying $40 vs $100+ makes that tolerable though haha

I have the same one and its already quit working and it making noise you can hear the water so loud and it stop its like its clogged. And my cpu temp went to 120 degree 👎🏻
hi man, very nice review, I also bought this LIAN-LI GALAHAD 240 v2 water cooling, but I couldn't read anywhere, not even on the manufacturer's website, in what speed range the water pump works, I have an msi motherboard for z690-a ddr4, pump I connected the pump_fan to the header and I cannot change the speed of the pump in the bios neither in pwm mode nor in DC, the pump still works at a speed of 3160 rpm, I don't know if this is the maximum power of the pump, I didn't find that anywhere, but it seemed unnecessary for it to run that fast , I wanted to reduce the speed to about 1900rpm, but I don't know how to do it, do you have any advice for me?

I am finding the pump to be quite whiny. It tops out at 3200rpm so I don't know what is the lowest safe temp to run it at. I also find the fans to have a high pitched whistle that you can hear when really close to them. I don't know how normal that it.
Having the same issue. I run it at around 2000rpm and my cpu temperature is basically the same as 100% fan speed but still loud and whiny enough to annoy me. New build first time and I’m absolutely disappointed with this aio cooler. I’m still in my return window and this will be going back. Surprised no one else is talking about how loud this thing is.

Will it be compatible with Tomahawk Max B450 Motherboard ?? This AIO is ARGB but the motherboard only has regular 4 pin RGB headers, Does this mean If I get this AIO the lights of it won’t come on at all? I also have Lian Li 215 Case where the included fan hub can provide extra power to 3 additional fans and 1 extra ARGB device

There is one thing I dont understand. Your supposed to connect both the pump and the fans to a PWM fan header on the mb, and then you control the fan speed and the pump speed in bios? and the temp that controls the speed is the CPU temp not the block temp on the AIO? or do you control the fan speed in a software from Lian Li?
yup software l-connect 3 is what is out now but inside of that app you can choose to sync via MB on lights and fan. or just use app to adjust to your likings
Is this hard to mount/connect? I’ve recently built my first PC and AIO’s are really daunting to me with all the cables for the pump/fans
To be honest kev, I built two machines with the 360 version and it wasn’t hard to mount at all. First I’d suggest getting the radiator attached to the top of the case before you mount the block to the board. I only used the AMD mounting kit which required no back plate removal. It was as easy as installing a CPU fan, in my opinion. This was my first time using an AIO and it was a breeze. Keeps my 3950x at 60-65c full load. Good luck my friend.
hey bud, don't know if you have already purchased and mounted your AIO or not but they can seem overwhelming but just follow the instructions and you should be golden. also there is plenty of videos that should be able to help you on the web or even some Sub reddits. just take things slow and take your time, i know when you are building your first PC your natural instinct is to just toss everything in as fast as you can so you can play i think just about everyone did that on their first build. Jayztwocents, Linustechtips, Bitwit and some other creators have great first time builders tip videos that i really recommend watching that can help with performance or just answer some questions that you might be mauling over best of luck with the build and i hope everything comes out great!
Timothy Richter I built the PC but used the stock cooler. I was too intimidated to use an AIO. I still want po but I don’t think my skils are there yet
kev2427 I believe in you! It would require you to take off the current CPU fan and mount the radiator to the top of the case. Do you know if your case would support a radiator?
@@kev2427 careful using stock coolers, they do work dont get me wrong but they are going to run much hotter vs getting a aftermarket air cooler or an AIO. like i said earlier there is soooo many videos on youtube that can help you with building its always 100% worth taking your time and doing it right and watch videos to learn. its funny i was actually just watching a gamers nexus video about AIOs when i noticed your reply. check this video its the number 1 mistake that people do with AIOs ua-cam.com/video/BbGomv195sk/v-deo.html&t=

Yea just go in the settings and turn them to black that way there not there but the colors are still on

@@Flaiva Good question. RGB off you wont be able to see anything with the mirror finish. RGB on, its a little dark and tinted so would white look awesome to light it up more? I seriously dont think you can go wrong with either but I'd lean more towards white since that is more unique imo
