Did a pink lace swap, got these below retail price. Biggest sleepers of 2022 and opened me up to more air trainers, anyone whos considering buying them I definitely recommend, I also recommend pink laces.
It’s not a gimmick it super functional. You keep it in the tongue when you go hiking and when it rains you protect and keep them dry by covering the shoe.
The grey trainers were actually my favorite of the 5 released! Too bad I took L’s all the way around, but if they continue to drop, I might have to pick them up!

I got these for retail I wanted the grey ones more but I'm happy to get a travis collab and one that I won't feel bad wearing to a concert. Plus I wanted the stash pocket.
I got the Grey AT1s, they usually take a couple weeks to arrive though. The brown colorways don’t suit my wardrobe, so I only went for the Grey and the Saturns, nice to get a win.

The reason why other TS releases were good is because they used proven designs of known silhouettes. The Air Trainer 1 however while successful in the 80s didn't carry over the 90s, they were shoes worn by Bo Jackson and McEnroe. Ask this gen, and they don't know who they are compared to MJ. The only shoe that doesn't need known association was really the Airmax, if the design is fire it's fire. If the design is whack regardless of the collab, it won't fly.
Copped these at Offspring and was much happier with the colorway in person. Also ended up drawing a reverse swoosh on the shrouds to break up the single colorblocking and it looks way better.
