Seriously. He buys a house a block away from the busiest bridge in America and sets up a restaurant patio in his front yard (what, no backyards in Jersey?) 😂
NJ refused to share license plate information to NY for a while over this matter, that's a better solution. They can't get you with those traffic cams that way.
So, if there is a budget short fall in places like Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, and even Erie, who’s going to pay for it? New Jersey residents and NYC residents
Ok...then NJ can install EZ-Pass Scanners for NY drivers to pay a hefty congestion price for when they enter the Garden State. Also, our New Jersey state government should update our transportation laws and not allow NY ridershare drivers to pick up rides in New Jersey for the same reason TLC of NYC prohibits NJ drivers to pick up riders in their city. New Jersey also needs money to improve our public transit system (trains, buses, shuttles, ferries etc.), which is mainly to serve one purpose so we can everyday transport our commuters to NYC for work. It seems NYC never has enough funds, so they came up with another genius idea on how to raise more money. Well we need to do the same here in New Jersey, that's fair...right?
I mean, yeah feel free to advocate for that. I don’t think the structure is there to justify pricing people out from driving into New Jersey, because most city residents aren’t consistently doing that back and forth on a day to day basis. If you look at the pattern for rush hour traffic, the people most likely to be impacted by what you’re suggesting are the drivers creating congestion commuting back to NJ at the end of the workday. Also, NJ desperately needs funding a lot of crap (particularly teachers pensions). That state deficit isn’t looking great. That’s not including the fact the NJ transit doesn’t have a direct source for funding and faces a 1 billion dollar deficit in 2026. If both state governments worked together to agree on some revenue sharing (which New York’s politicians have already conceded would only be fair) maybe NJ transit could get its first steady funding source…
Maybe not there, but the northern boarder and GW sees a hefty amount of NY traffic going into northern counties to save on the sales tax. There were discussions on putting in tolls on major roads and reimbursement back to NJ residents, but that didn't go far.
Totally against congestion pricing, but how is taking the GWB gonna avoid the congestion zone if your ultimate destination is below 60th Street? You just gonna magically find tons of parking uptown and hop a subway? Why not just park in Jersey and hop a train or bus to Manhattan?
because there are people just passing through Manhattan to get to long island city/long island/queen who will now take GWB instead of lincoln / Holland
@ Why in God’s name would anyone take the Lincoln or Holland tunnels to get from NJ to Long Island even now? There’s no expressway linking the tunnels to Queens/Long Island and they have to fight all that local crosstown traffic. If they opt for the GWB, they still have to pay tolls on the Triboro Bridge or the other MTA bridges between the Bronx and Queens. Again, I’m in no way for this cash grab, but I’m calling BS on Jersey’s reasoning. They just don’t want to pay the ransom (and I don’t blame them).
@@edwardp3502 It depends where in New Jersey you are. Also, during off hours, the traffic isn't that bad. The "peak" hours for congestion pricing are from 5am to 9pm which is the whole day. But imo, traffic in Manhattan progressively gets better starting at 4pm.
@@Veritech Most folks can cut through Staten Island to reach Long Island, which is probably part of the MTA’s scheme to get some traffic off Manhattan streets. Of course, now Staten Islanders will see heavier traffic. Rob Peter, pay Paul. 😅
That’s one of my concerns for residents in the Bronx. The populous who live between all the highways (south of the cross bronx, east of the Deegan, West of the Sheridan and north of the bruckner) suffer from some of the highest asthma rates in the country. There will be projected traffic increases in those areas from added commuters on highways. There are also opportunities for parking lots in areas around Yankee stadium and other spots post GWB to increase prices for parking amidst an increase for demand. Congestion pricing is apparently going to pay for an asthma research center in the Bronx, to what effect I can only speculate. As for why not take a bus or train from NJ, I’m hoping NYS and NJ can sit at a table to agree on revenue sharing to give the NJ transit an actual steady funding source so it can tackle its shortfalls in service and reliably get people into Manhattan. Having an upcoming 1 billion deficit for the transit agency and projecting the gateway tunnel to be finished in a decade won’t be a good look for people waiting on a Penn station bound train to cross the river post Secaucus Junction. It’s not going to look pretty for NJ transit to absorb the increased ridership, but hopefully it gets the funding it needs to improve the situation at hand
Hello, how did you achieve such biweekly returns? I'm a newbie and I've lost a lot of money investing on my own. Please can you advise on how to go about this?
YES!!! That's exactly her name (Valerie Adams) so many people have recommended highly about her and am just starting with her 😊from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
It’s crazy how there is nothing positive at all coming from the passing of this other than a money grab…
uhhh ya dude change your umbrella
Seriously. He buys a house a block away from the busiest bridge in America and sets up a restaurant patio in his front yard (what, no backyards in Jersey?) 😂
And the table cloth
😂
Lol I thought he was a food vendor 😂
That guy should serve coffee and bagels
Probably would get fined and/or arrested in a different money grab
Fort Lee and Leonia Township SOULD NOT allow non residents vehicles goes through town....
They should start charging congestion toll 😂
@@hyejungson1871 same for NYC
You cannot prevent the public from accessing public roads without special cause, which this would not fall under
that mayor describes the traffic conditions that there is in Manhattan. They should put in congestion pricing to reduce traffic.
Yo keep cooking
They should reverse the toll, make them pay to leave the garbage dump. make ny pay to leave
lol agreed

People finally realizing the true cost of car dependency
So, if there is a budget short fall in places like Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, and even Erie, who’s going to pay for it? New Jersey residents and NYC residents
Former NJ resident with family in Syracuse and Buffalo. I seriously question where any tax revenue is actually going in New York
Congestion pricing is a disgusting money grab!!!! Vote them all out whoever voted for this shit!!
Dems voted this
What a shame that in 2025, cars still can’t fly and levitate

I'm getting ready for a more pleasant walk to work without SUVs from NJ gridlocking every intersection in Midtown.
Get ready for the cost of plywood going up. This is going to break businesses and cause various places to board up and move out or shut down.
See how they like it.
The way I laughed when he said people stop and ask for reservations. 😅But seriously sir, your patio does look amazing!
i'm saying 😂 what does he expect when his patio looks like that

Taxing people for driving to working!
Blue pols never cease to amaze!

If people just pay the congestion price there wouldn't be that much of a difference
Just pay up or stay there.
lol they voted for this
Thanks for the continuous update! I am super excited about how my crypto investment is going so far, making over $18k weekly is an amazing gain

She's mostly on Telegrams, using the user name
Terrible 🙈
The MTA CEO & his puppet Gov Hochul might add congestion pricing at the nyc exit at the GWB to help New Jersey out and make more money!!! 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
Speed bumps
Who can help? Google 😂 🤦🏻♂️

So traffic in NJ is bad but traffic in NYC is fine? 🤡🤡
