6:05 That's exactly what she did and said! You are correct, the old blue dinosaur 8" saw had a pump oiler on it and while it would cut you would need an extra few batteries and a reserve pack of cigarettes to do any actual "work" cutting up any reasonable amount of wood. Love my Ryobi tools! According to my research the saw, bar, and chain were Homelite parts, discontinued, but the other poster has the correct Oregon parts. I would advise that you go back the the narrow kerf bar and chain. These were designed for lightweight saws. Less mass to rotate and less frictional surface area on both the saw and the wood.
10 inches seems like plenty for that type of chainsaw. Don't forget, pretty much all consumer-grade chainsaws use plastic drive gears. The longer the bar, the more strain you are putting on the gears.
Without checking I would have thought the US and AU models would be the same base. US offers a 12" bar and chain, AU a 10". Everything else being equal the unit should be fine with the slightly longer bar and chain. Esp. if you used genuine Ryobi parts
who cares honesty they have a 6 year warrantee plastic or not Pro 1er?! save old bar if dies get it replaced. 12 inch would be great. just got one they are we beasts. can you flick me the link for 12inch bar please city and bush?
This is amazing. I've never seen a 22 minute bar and chain swap before. It usually takes me about three hours.
? You will get faster with practice. You should flip your bar periodically.
