@@claudiakalkbrenner4148 I have a Petite Boite Chapeau in Monogram so I use that strap because they’re similar in length and the PBC strap is adjustable! I used to want to use the thick monogram guitar strap with black underneath (idk what the exact name is) but I like the strap I use better :))))
I love my nano speedy and removed my strap! Yay! I was contemplating for a bit but I did it! I got my seam ripper and just un stitched the thread, only enough that was needed to remove the strap. I'm not putting clasps on mine as I will hold onto the strap in case I want to attach it back on later. I'll just buy another vachetta strap from etsy. Currently I'm using my LV mono bandouliere or my thick chunky gold chain. It's so cute!

Hola Claudia! I too have had the Nano speedy stored brand new for almost a year and half. So sad but yes it’s due to the strap. I also have the Speedy HL and she gets used all the time! I recently purchased the black Empreinte Speedy 20 and she is beautiful and very well made. The hardware is unbelievable and the removable strap is the best but she doesn’t make my heart sing. There’s also a little weight to her before filling her up. Here in the U.S. the Canvas Monogram Speedy 20 should be released this month. I’ve been on the hunt for the monogram Speedy 25 but after seeing the speedy 20 I now know that is my perfect size!!! Best wishes to you on the Nano! I personally think we just need to cut it off and use it! At that point we’ll just love it even more!!! 👜👛🎒

On the one hand, it's adorable and has amazing capacity but on the other, ugh the strap.😖 It baffles me why they wouldn't put an adjustable or even just a detachable one when we clearly come in all heights, shapes and even postures. I mean, at least give us a chance to buy another strap from you! I wonder though, now that it comes in the empreinte 20 size with an adjustable strap, could it be why they put this non-detachable, one-size-fits-all strap on the Nano? To steer us toward the leather version? It got me thinking about the Saintonge in the canvas which I loved. Same story about the strap on that one. But the empreinte version comes with a lovely adjustable and detachable one and if I had to choose between the two, I might very likely go for the latter because it's more convenient/versatile. Just a thought. What do you think? 😘

That’s actually a great point, the leather versions do all have adjustable and removable straps… The Nano Speedy is a great bag but it does have that design flaw, on the Petite Sac Plat the at least made it detachable, but the Nano Noe isn’t… no rhyme or reason 😅 Now I know not to buy bags with a non removable strap! Loving the new sizes of the Sac Plat, so classic LV😊
Has anyone tried opening up the D rings on the bag and sliding the vachetta strap off, then closing the D ring back and then just clip on a detachable strap to the D ring? I saw a youtuber get pointy nose pliers and placed the point into the hole of the D rings and then seperating the handles of the pliers to pry open the D ring. This was NOT done on a LV bag but on a Coach mini bag.

Even if you cut the strap off. I would think if you wanted to sell it you can give to LV and have a new original strap placed back on as a repair. They will charge you of course but it shouldn't be outrageous.
I have it and I have no intention to cut it. The strap doesn’t bother me. The length is perfect for me. You have to use it so the strap will soften. If you have intention to sell it I wouldn’t advise you to cut the strap as it will lower the value of the bag.
I guess it could lower the value but for me, I would consider getting it anyway if the strap was converted with the clips attached so I could still use it. But only if it's professionally done of course. 😆
It actually fits you nicely crossbody. YES I cut my strap 3 years ago. I'm 5'9" And have nice size breast so crossbody looked silly. As for as wearing it on your wrist...I have not seen anyone wear it so. Ok well it seems like you may sell it. You should. It seems to annoy you very much. Happy day to you. 😊

I cut the strap on mine. Best decision ever, unless you plan on ever selling, but I plan on passing it down to my daughter :)

Cut the strap and use the bag . In the future if you want a strap you can use any LV strap
