Looking good! Don't be discouraged by the negative comments. Your hair looks great and more importantly, you feel great. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Gravega that is how it’s always gonna be when you transplant hair onto areas that didn’t have any. He will most likely need a 2nd procedure to get more thickness but don’t try to downplay these procedures like they don’t work when they obviously do
Gravega I agree somewhat but don’t forget it’s only at the halfway point meaning it’s continue to grow and get thicker. This is obviously not the end result and too soon to judge. Now compared to when he had less hair pre-op, he now looks like he has much more hair.
As people have said, don't worry about the negative comments. You're 49 years old and you shouldn't have a hairline like you did when you were 20, your doctor game you an age appropriate hairline. The other thing to remember is that you have thin hair to begin with (I'm in the same boat) so your hair transplant may not look the same as someone with thicker hair who had the same amount of grafts moved. The difference between month 5 and month 6 is big and you should only get better, overall looks just fine.
Will, good luck!! I haven't got one but I am researching different clinics and see which one is best for me. My thinning hair really never bothered me until I renewed my passport and had to take a picture for it and wow, it hit me like a ton of bricks. But, I agree, we're men and not teenagers anymore so a low hairline won't look right nor will one get the look of coverage having a hairline that low simply because there's only so much hair that can be moved. Good luck with your procedure!!
It’s very nice of you to be so open about all of this.I think it looks good.Im 52 and loosing my hair pretty heavily know but I think I have just resigned myself to it at this point.
Great service you’re doing to help guys decide if a transplant is right for them. Thanks for doing this. You look great BTW. Congrats on your positive experience.
be good to be in your 50's with hair, been interesting to see progress in 6 months, my HT was the best thing I have ever done so fingers crossed for you it keeps progressing.
massive improvement from last vid, really looking a lot better, will thicken up nice now, and remember, you can always got for another to top up. you had a lot of grafts sometimes takes 2, but i think its looking really good now.
Don't listen to the hate man. I really appreciate you taking the time to chronicle your experience in such a detailed way. I am about the same age as you and have a similar hair line. I think I have a bit more hair than you started with but similar. I agree with the doctor's assessment of not going for a lower hair line. As tempting as that might be it wouldn't have looked natural and you only have so much hair to play with and transfer. Density is much, much more important than the hair line. You still have another 4 to 6 months before you will really know how successful this procedure was. Looking better every month now! I wonder though, could you go back and do another round? How many times or grafts can you do? I imagine it is tempting to go for 3 or 4 rounds, if possible and having the money, and achieve a truly thick and full head of hair?!
Looks good, would never know you've had a procedure, Doc was right about placement with your natural hair being thinner as you said. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Looks very natural, good uniformity and fits your age. What more can you ask for! Congrats. Have an appointment for November, so hope to have fully recovered by Summer 2019...
Mate, that looks good for 6 months. Can't wait to see what it looks like after 12. I agree, the hairline looks very natural. All in all, it's great! Congrats on the positive outcome so far.
Looking good bro. Hopefully it grows more. I had mine done in istanbul at the end of june 2017. After a few months of worrying thinking i made a mistake and that the transplant hair won't grow, around december time it was very thick. It's now been 14 months since my successful hair transplant. I'm very happy with it. Although the crown area could have been much better, i can't complain. All the best buddy 🖒
I second what Mike said!! Looking good! Don't be discouraged by the negative comments. Your hair looks great and more importantly, you feel great. Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm gonna do the same thing, wish me luck
Looks good, very natural and tidy which is better than having longer untidy hair in the hope it covers but never really convinces anyone,i went to GetHair almost two years ago and i must say that it changed my life,my hair line is everything to me and i love it,the hair does become thicker as time passes also the individual hairs get thicker because at up to 12 months the hairs have a thinner shaft diameter and thicken as the scalp settles,i will always praise GetHair and their team.
Sorry fellas, did anyone end up taking propecia or finasteride post transplant? I’ve heard some say doctors recommend it whereas others who have had it done said they didn’t and their new hairs didn’t drop out etc Thanks
Hi Michael Do you mind sharing your before and after pics ? I had first transplant with ziering medical uk Was the worst experience and result hasn’t been that great I have now booked with get hair in dec
Hi , i was one of those who commented on the high hair line an lack of density , now that its a few months later it dose look better , an the explanation of the hair line makes sence, i for one have the same amount of hair as you did before the procedure an i am a year younger , i have thought of getting it done , unfortunately i dont have the amount of time that is needed to recover properly, but that being said. I look forward to seeing your video's keep up the positive attitude an dont go to dark with the dye job 😉.
You're honest n humble with the details... Appreciate it. Glad to see the progress but in my opinion you have a gifted head shape n suits crew cut best :) can you help me with the variety of solid colour T-shirt you're wearing in other videos pls? They are amazing as you
Very useful thank you and your hair looks great. I'm booked in for 21st of Dec but with Estepera. Looking forward to it. Just hoping 2 weeks is enough for recovery before I'm due return to work.
Looking good, fella! Don’t mind the eejits with the negative comments, your doc was right, it does look natural and nobody would know different unless you told them.... thanks for sharing and good luck.
looks terrific & very natural...hope you choose a color that's not too dark...personally, would leave it just as it is..............and I am a retired hairdresser................
Congratulations I'm sure you are much happier now. I just had mine done 5 days ago. I want to ask if you're on any medication to prevent further hairloss.
I agree with favourable comments, looking really good, encouraging results, keep uploading the vids........many thanks for sharing your experience in Vlog,s
Already much better, and don't forget it's only 6 month after. The older you are, the more time it takes you growth your hair. It will be even better after one year.
Thanks for sharing. I am 33 and balder than you were. You look great. I will save up some money to do it in Turkey too. Should I wait more until my hair line recedes completely or should I do the hair transplant as soon as possible?
Get Hair should be able to advise but I waited but mainly because I didn't know this was availble in Turkey at a fraction of the price of the UK. As I left it longer I got them to do yhe my whole head transplant even though I did have some hair left on top. But none left at the front
It looks much better than before. People who give negative comments do not understand something from good transplantation work. But I think, if the clinc would offer FUT and FUE you could get more densitiy with FUT in the first transplantation. With FUT you can extract up to 8000 grafts in one session. And just 4 % die after transplantation, while with FUE mind. 10 % up to 20 % die.
You look just how I did. Thin hair has less density but It does look more natural on the hair line. And the surgeon would of had a limited amount to take from back of hair. It will get thicker but not to much because of the thinness like mine. Look forward to your next post.
Looks really good Angus. I am thinking about doing the same as also play in a band. My hair has always been a bit thin so looking forward to seeing how it looks in the next few months. The difficulty I have is trying to find a time slot due my job as I meet customers on a regular basis and in the first few weeks I would wonder how they would react to all the redness as well as the short hair. I am wondering if you had to consider a similar thing before your procedure? Cheers Barry
Hi Barry, Yes, I considered the same thing. I took 2 weeks off work. When I went back my colleagues thought I had shaved my head. You have to look closely to see the redness after 2 weeks. This was me on the day I went back to work. I had to take a month off playing live in the band as you have to avoid sweating.
Can I ask you some questions? 1How many hairs did you loose every day before your hair transplant? 2 I've got very thin and blonde hair, in your opinion it's impossible to do an hairtraplant? 3 very good result. Are you going to do another hairtraplant in future?
Antonio Laperuta Hi. I've been losing hair since I was in my mid 20s it got worse in my 30s. Contact get hair www.gethair.co.uk they will be able to advise on yours.
Looking good! Don't be discouraged by the negative comments. Your hair looks great and more importantly, you feel great. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Gravega that is how it’s always gonna be when you transplant hair onto areas that didn’t have any. He will most likely need a 2nd procedure to get more thickness but don’t try to downplay these procedures like they don’t work when they obviously do
Ya bro he isn't 20 he is pretty much 50
Gravega
I agree somewhat but don’t forget it’s only at the halfway point meaning it’s continue to grow and get thicker. This is obviously not the end result and too soon to judge. Now compared to when he had less hair pre-op, he now looks like he has much more hair.
@Gravega Fail!!!
Thank you for taking time to show us the changes... can't wait to see the one year after the surgery.
As people have said, don't worry about the negative comments. You're 49 years old and you shouldn't have a hairline like you did when you were 20, your doctor game you an age appropriate hairline. Stevie M I’m going for one soon and agree about the hairline, we’re men not 16 year olds, we don’t need a hairline to our eyebrows
Will, good luck!! I haven't got one but I am researching different clinics and see which one is best for me. My thinning hair really never bothered me until I renewed my passport and had to take a picture for it and wow, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Good luck with your procedure!!
Stevie M I’ll post a video on my wall(channel ?) when it’s done
Stevie M thats not the point if his face structure! Fits a low hairline then do it!
It looks good buddy and natural too 👍your videos are honest and informative keep up the good work

for 6 months recovery, that's great! I'm stoked to see it after a year.

Coming along nicely, I see much improvement every month. Keep the faith.
Looks very natural, good uniformity and fits your age. What more can you ask for! Congrats. Have an appointment for November, so hope to have fully recovered by Summer 2019...
Mate, that looks good for 6 months. Can't wait to see what it looks like after 12.

Thought the hair line looked low in the first "7 Days" video but now it looks great!
Looking good bro. Hopefully it grows more. I had mine done in istanbul at the end of june 2017. After a few months of worrying thinking i made a mistake and that the transplant hair won't grow, around december time it was very thick.

At what point during the extraction or implantation did they inject the prp as prp helps thicken the hair transplant!
Looks fantastic man ,
Thanks for sharing looks good still a few months to go yet
Looking good , question: do you see any scars on the back of you head (donor area)?
I love your kitchen. I am planning to wait till 2020 when Japanese scientists refine their revolutionary method

If you don't mind my opinion don't dye your hair, really you look good.
Nothing wrong with him dying his hair if he wants to. Approx 25% of men do and 101% of women do.
Are you having to take any medication, I tried Propecia (Finasteride) but it made me VERY ill?
Good on you bro. Helpful.
