My heart melted when Jennifer Rush shoved up on my TV in 1984 with this song. And it's still undisputed the absolute best 'imo'... Celine also did an outstanding version of it, witch is also in my top 3 reference tracks But this was absolutely in the very same league and I really like that R'n'B touch you all put into it... Truly refreshing
Blue Rock you're right in every thing you said and the song will never be performed better than by Jennifer Rush because it came from her heart and she sings it with her soul just like all the other songs that she wrote no matter how good and beautiful all these other singers are the words and music didn't come from their hearts

Today it's very much more about song technique, than for the artists finding into something in their own life that corresponds with the story the lyrics tell; thus giving the performance the heart and soul we can relate to. Way too often it's lost in time and money / production costs...
