I'm one of those comments, but not as a complaint. I understand that people hold more power if belting certain vowels over others (for Celine and her piercing voice, "Ah" is her power spot.) For Pia it's the "ho" sound so the W here allows her to produce her power vowel ("w-HO-l by myself"). Certain consonants preceding it can help them with this. Some of us talking about her enunciation was all in light humor, but not a diss.

@@gimpman1357 I like the original because it has that beautiful piano solo. The original doesn't have the same "oomph" as this version or Celine's, but it has a more subtle yet painful tone to it too. It's underappreciated that's for sure.

Compare Pia's performance of this song with Celine's and anyone else who has ever covered it. No one sings with such power, passion and inspiration. Her final few bars set the world on fire and are like no other interpretation out there. An extraordinarily talented vocalist: world class.

She’s really saying “wall by myself” every SINGLE time. Not even a single “all” in there. Great cover though…
It helps when you change certain beginnings of words to help belt high notes. Beyonce has a song on one of her albums and the correct lyrics at ending bridge are ooh ooh ooh in a very high belt. When she was younger and she sang the song live she would sing it currently as ooh ooh ooh however as she has gotten older and her voice is no longer as high now when she sings it live she sings Doo Doo Doo. Sounds silly but the simple change from ooh to doo helps her be able to belt the high note as she gets older and her singing voice gets lower. She still hits the note and sounds as good as ever but you can tell the lyrics change was done to assist her with getting up that high. I watched a video from a vocal coach who explained that this is done by professional singers on purpose. I think that could be why Pia is singing wall and not all.

I remember seeing her on Idol (and voting for her every week), then seeing her release songs like This Time and You’ll Be King and them not getting much success in the public eye. I truly thought she’d fade into obscurity and wasn’t going anywhere. But I’m so proud of her for never giving up and still getting recognition for the incredible vocalist that she is! ❤️

I'm a signer from Quebec and had the opportunity to sing with her 2 times. I had Celine in my in ears singing this song and couldn't believe the perfection of her voice the first time during the soundcheck. I was not a Celine fan but become one instantly when I heard her in real life for the first time straight in my ears.

I don't know if this is significant but quite a few of the orchestral members were smiling throughout her performance. They really felt it - and so did everyone else. This is a FANTASTIC performance.
