Oh god, when THE SONU NIGAM said about the song that will be played on the day of his demise in background and started singing "har ghadi badal rahi hai", I literally had goosebumps just imagining myself in the future seeing on television this heart-wrenching news..
His love and dedication towards the song is remarkable and I pray that he lives for a hundred years to come..
I know that death is inevitable but, the mere thought of Sonu Nigam's death shakes me.. He deserves utmost respect for performing his work with dignity and passion... And for giving us such songs.
This doesnot take away any credit from Javed Saab's emotional speech which too was heart touching..
But, seriously I have never heard any musician, singer, artist in this world introducing any song in this manner, it only reflects how close the song is to his heart.. He said, "Mere liye koi gaana isse upar hai hi nahi"

I saw this video today for first time. And he said that one song will be played when Sonu nigam will die and he started with "Har ghadi badal rahi hai dhoop zindagi...."
It gave me goosebump all over body and tears in my eyes. Thank you Shankar Ehsan Loy for giving great music to that movie. That song will top my charts forever.

Sonu is that type of singer who came and started singing better than the legends of those days like suresh wadkar, udit narayan and kumar sanu and got appreciated by them and still no one has come 1 percent near his talent and versatility to match him....kids of this decade can cry over arijit Singh but he is nowhere near sonu nigam and even he knows that

The fact that every single person in the hall stood up when Javed Akhtar received the trophy goes to show how much Javed Sahab is loved and respected by the whole industry- be it stalwarts like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy or inexperienced newcomers. Also, Javed Akhtar + Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy + Sonu Nigam/Shankar Mahadevan is a deadly combination. It's about as good as melody can get.
