The vaccine was developed with funds given by the UK research funding body. Do you think the UK govt. would allow India to make a decision on who will get the vaccine? If non-BJP govt. get additional funds like the BJP-ruling state govt. getting, they will also reduce petrol price. If BJP-ruling BIMARU states have enough funds to reduce petrol price by Rs10/ per litre, then why do they need special funds. Southern states get 40p per every Rs1 tax collected from those states whereas BIMARU states get Rs1.75 per every Rs1 tax collected from those states. So, we should stop additional funds to BJP-ruling BIMARU states since they are rich enough to reduce the petrol price by Rs10 per litre. Also, Southern states should also question implementing the 2011 census at 100% in the 15th finance commission and thereby giving more funds to BJP-ruling BIMARU states for not controlling population growth.

They should be penalised for not controlling population growth rather than increasing their funding by using the 2011 census at 100%.
This is benefitting more for reliance . If indian PSU oil companies are given such an oppurtnuity, then the real benefit will come to Indian consumer rather than some pvt companies

@Priya I agree with what you said in points 1 and 2. However, Covishield (aka Oxford-AZ COVID vaccine) is developed in the UK and Serum Institute got the contract to make the vaccine for them. The vaccine was developed with funds given by the UK research funding body. Do you think the UK govt. would allow India to make a decision on who will get the vaccine? In the UK, many including myself got Covishield but the booster dose was made somewhere else. Unfortunately, our politicians are very good at promoting things that are nothing to do with them. If Modi have a good name internationally, why we had to struggle to get raw materials needed for oxygen during the 2nd wave of COVID-19?

If non-BJP govt. get additional funds like the BJP-ruling state govt. getting, they will also reduce petrol price. If BJP-ruling BIMARU states have enough funds to reduce petrol price by Rs10/ per litre, then why do they need special funds. Southern states get 40p per every Rs1 tax collected from those states whereas BIMARU states get Rs1.75 per every Rs1 tax collected from those states. So, we should stop additional funds to BJP-ruling BIMARU states since they are rich enough to reduce the petrol price by Rs10 per litre. Also, Southern states should also question implementing the 2011 census at 100% in the 15th finance commission and thereby giving more funds to BJP-ruling BIMARU states for not controlling population growth.
