"Cricket 24 is a bit like English opener Rory Burns. That is, capable of quality play for decent periods - and getting the job done despite looking a little peculiar at times - but a bit too inconsistent overall to be considered an automatic selection. Since developer Big Ant Studios’ has previously displayed a penchant for post-release tweaking, future updates may well address a lot of the lingering issues with licensed players and smooth out the rough edges of its AI and presentation, and in six months’ time this could potentially be a simulation worth going into bat for. However, as of right now Cricket 24 is a disappointingly modest and often slipshod update that seemingly lacks the confidence or creativity to advance further down the wicket." - Ігри

Crazy to think Cricket 07 still holds up and is probably better than this, wish cricket games still had EA backing them
with hitting 400 runs in 20 overs and bundling out opposition batters for 20 runs
Cricket is such a shallow sport that becomes hard to make it into an interesting sport at all
@@absence9443 it is still interesting, just the fact that less nations play it, and the nations i.e. subcontinent who plays it like religion just buys pirated games ,resulting in loss of company.
Cricket 7 is better for people who can't afford ofc ...used to such whining everytime there's a decent priced game

Cricket deserves a game made by a proper studio. Over the last two releases, Big Ant have demonstrated that they lack the abilty to advance with the standards set by other more popular sports titles. EA used to make cricket games, and if they still were, they would a damn sight better than this
EA never made Cricket games, they outsourced them.

5 rating is a lot for this game, it should be -5 especially because of the attitude of Big Ants CEO who just have one response to all the bugs/issues "please raise a ticket for technical support". Even after the experience of 10+ years they keeps on releasing the half baked games with same bugs everytime and charge full price for it.

Having tried Cricket 22 on game pass, and being appalled by the random glitch parade after the ball hits the bat, it's safe to say I'll be giving this one a miss.

As a big cricket fan and gamer, it's pretty sad to see how this series has declined since the Don Bradman days. Enjoyed the review on this one though and, having ditched Cricket 22 after a couple of months, don't think I'll be dipping back in for this one.

I’ve never watch cricket, never played cricket, and understand absolutely anything even after watching an explanatory video about the basic of crickets, but if the real game is as loopy and stoned as the players and the announcer this has to be a hidden gem!

Most of the AI and fielding issues are the exact same issues from C22. They haven't worked on them at all!

After all the patches and not have played Cricket 22, cricket 24 is a lot of fun and worth buying if you’re a cricket fan. Hopefully further patches and more licensed content will take place. Has real potential to be amazing

Another bat and ball game, MLB The Show, is in a separate universe when it comes to ball physics, catching animations and AI. Literally no excuse for the amount of glitches and poor fielder behavior in this one. Cricket fans should be pretty annoyed, this reminds me of the MLB 2K fiasco where things look nice...until people move...

The problem with new cricket games are they are so slow where u can play 10 matches in a day in easports 2007 and still not bored but still better to have something then nothing

Heard rumors it will run better on PS2. Apparently, the PS2 CPU is weak enough to actually ignore AI programming and make fielders sprint until they reach their target.
This pretty much looks like a glorified mobile game.

Probably will have to wait for next edition of this game and see if there are any improvements before thinking of buying...that ball to the groin and the vibrating fielder didnt look great.

It is time to introduce the Money ( Not real money ) earning and spending system in game . Like GTA . Players have received Match fees in their bank account , they spend money on their living, purchasing and many things , teams will also have to a budget system . so game will more enjoyble
