I agree, a robot mower isn't for me, however, I do see a huge market for them with those who despise lawn care. We all have those neighbors that only mow every 10-12 days when they have to and scalp it to the ground when they do. This is for them. Nice hat too! Happy New Year!
Hey this was just brought to my attention. I immediately thought of you since your in the Russellville Arkansas area. Please let your family and friends be aware of this situation so they can make a informed decision! 👍🏻💯
I was telling another guy it seems like robomowers would be a great option for people trying to keep up their grass when they don’t have the time to dedicate to keeping it up. Life happens and could be a great option while we take care of a family member. Thank you Budget for supporting StJude , that was a cool thing to see
Definitely something to consider in the future. Would be an excellent choice for the back lawn. Prices are insane and would need one that can cut down to 3/4" and operate without the need for wires. Also would be nice to select your own cut patterns. Maybe down the road but I have to pass for now.
Robot mowers are definetly cool but it would take a lot of money and convincing for me to get one. I enjoy mowing twice a week and like you said it's therapeutic.
A study from 2021 reported that 21% of every villa with a lawn in Sweden have a robot lawn mower. And its 14% for all nordic countries. So it's really common that you see a robot lawn mower in Sweden at least :) I will consider it once more robot mowers uses GPS and the price is right.
Yeah I will pass on the lawn robot. But I'm with you on never say never! I have the robot vacuum upstairs and I have to rescue it every time it goes in one of the kid's rooms! LoL Outside lawn care is therapy! Great video buddy!!
Our robot vacuum ran 3 times a week for 6 years and cleaned literally acres worth of area before recently getting retired and replaced with a new one. It made perfect lines that would make a lawn guy happy. We still have to vacuum some here and there and do all the other cleaning. I feel I have a place for a robot mower considering my travel schedule. I think that one mowing regularly and allowing me to do the fine work and all the extras that I don't have time for. I've only found a couple that can mow at 3.5" or taller.... and I'm a 4" guy with my TTTF. Maybe....
Mine runs 3 times a week also and keeps a log of every clean. Not sure how this compares, but just the time alone it has saved is astounding! 354 hours, 22k meters squared total area cleaned, and 809 cleanings. And that’s only cleaning 1/2 of a 1,500 sqft house. I ❤ my Roborock, even named her “Betty”!
I got one two years ago and I after a lot of pain and struggles it finally does what it should do. My key objective was to get that regular cut, which was not possible for me. Positive side effects i don‘t have to deal with the clippings and i am super flexible when i want to mow the lawn (less weather dependent. Negative: cost - a for the mower but you can’t get rid of your other equipment. In contrary…i just ordered a reel mower. Reel mowing was so far not an option given i could only mow once a week - now i get the lawn cut during the week and do the details on the weekend!
One thing to add: the pattern thing would be nice from an esthetic perspective. However, Husqvarna follows a different philosophy: the grass should be cut from every possible angle to improve the cut quality overall
Couple years ago I was like no way for a Robo mower, but now I’d do it for my backyard and still mow my front if it wasn’t so expensive. I see your edits in the videos are starting to pick up......Happy New Years brother!
I don’t blame ya man. You got a lot of space. Yeah, a little more time to put toward the videos while on Christmas break. Get back to school on Wednesday. We’ll see if it keeps up then haha. Thanks buddy. Happy New Year! 👊👊
I’m in the same boat. I will say, I have several neighbors with the husqvarna model and I believe it does a better job than my neighbors who pay for a traditional mowing service. If you don’t enjoy the mow, the robot is the way to go.
I have one in for my backyard. As much as i enjoy mowing, I just don’t have enough time to mow all the time. The robot mower saves me 1-2 hours a week cutting the back yard. All i have to do now is just edge the backyard, which takes 2 mins.
Good stuff as always Brother 👍🏻. I can say with certainty that I will never get one of these grass vacuums. Im like you, i need to get out there and mow. It helps clear my head, it’s good physical activity. So no, not in the cards for me.
I’m all in once the price comes down, they get a little smarter and can cut 4” St Aug. i’ve had a robot vacuum for years and love it, I see no difference for the outside of the house. Especially on those long 110 degree Texas summer days, I about passed out almost twice last year. Plus it’ll give me added time for for all the other things to keep the lawn on point like edging better, fert and weeds. Hell, I might even be inclined and have the time to level the yard if it would help the robo!
There has been mention of landscaping companies using them for their accounts. Drop off the robot, come back the next day to pick it up and clean up the edging and whatnot, huge money saver on labor. Instead of mowing, just driving around, dropping off and picking up robots with a skeleton crew to tidy up the rest. Easily knock out 20 - 30 houses a day. That’s good money!
I’d probably have one already if I didn’t have a fenced back yard. Maybe when I get a little older I’ll get one for just the back and use a walk behind just for the front yard.
I am not against them at all. There is time and place for them. I enjoy mowing too much to have a robot do it for me. The exercise and the enjoyment is enough for me. If the day comes that I can no longer walk, then I will move and won't have a lawn anymore anyway.
Therapeutic is the key for me when i mow the lawn. GPS should be kept to farming for that 1% is a $100k loss of produce. Mowing the lawn will be like a Pay TV Subscription from the leaders in landscape, agricultural, turf care and domestic household garden markets. One universal car form GM, Ford, Toyota, BMW or Mercedes with a Monthly Subscription to have Heated Seats
I just got a battery operated mower, reluctantly! So, a robot mower, well probably not. I enjoy mowing and I miss the noise of my gas mower. But, spouse thought it would be physically better for me to not have to pull start.

I will say never. My front lawn is my showpiece. I take way to much pride in it and will not give up my enjoyment of caring for it. My backyard is still nice, but also for our dog. He loves to be out there with me no matter what I'm doing. I'm not willing to reduce the dog's playtime with me. Just my opinion.
Not for me right now for sure. I think we could do with a few less robots in the world. I could see the appeal for some folks so no doubt they will continue to gain some popularity.
Haha. I suppose you could. But it’d feel like following a Robo vacuum around the house. I’d feel worthless since I’m not doing anything to cause the end result.
The places where robots or automation is a success doesn’t have any chance of kids around for a reason I suspect. I had a Roomba but it couldn’t handle my 3 dogs hair and my kids couldn’t leave it alone no matter when it was scheduled.
@@blakecheboygan I’ve got a dog and small kids and have robot mowers and have had zero issues.
