    I was born and raised in Louisiana. Red beans with sausage and ground beef over rice is the meal along with cornbread and butter. 😋

    Looks great!!!!! I will be doing these as soon as I get my new stove. My old one developed an unrepairable internal leak after 25 years, a few weeks ago - 2-6 weeks more wait time for the new one. The great thing about it tho is that I will finally have 3 burners powerful enough to can on🤗!!!!! The previous stove only had one canning burner (and that is a generous statement)! I could only use a 10.5 quart canner or a Presto 16 quart because of the way the wall was behind the canner and being able to only use the back burner. Now I will be Able to use the two front and one of the rear burners like you have for canning! AA 915 or 921 here I come!!!
    Thanks for all your great videos!!! I have learned so much from you and you are so inspirational. This was my first year of PC and I did 225 jars so far. Looking forward to so many more!

    There is a healthy reason for presoaking beans. It releases enzyme inhibitors, which impacts digestion. It also causes less flagilence... notably less. So, as much as I appreciate watching your videos, I'll continue to presoak cuz I no likey all that gas. 😄 Just food for thought.

    • @TheKneadyHomesteader
      @TheKneadyHomesteader  4 роки тому +2

      no worries. 😆 i totally get it. my experience by the time you can them then put them in a pot and heat then again, we have found absolutely no difference between soak and no soak other than soaked beans get too mushy by the time they are put and cooked in a chili. But I think everyone should give the approved method a try and decide for themselves before rebel canning. 😊❤️

      if you get an all american canner, it's the safest on the market! it looks like a bomb but i promise you, that thing is safer than pot of boiling water. 😁👍🏻 dont fear the pressure canner!!!!!

      absolutely. you will want to add citric acid if you are using fresh crushed tomatoes. if your tomatoes are already canned i wouldnt waste them by recanning them. especially with the lid shortage right now. does that make sense?
