I’d like to see new types of crimes. Maybe have criminals try to ambush Spider-Man, hostage situations, maybe even have some c or b list villains (Boomerang, Shocker, Mysterio, etcetera..,) break out of prison every so often for a mini boss fight.
I heavily disagree with the Miles stuff, I understand the state of the character right now but I do not believe they are heading towards killing Peter off. Much like Batman, I would rather maintain the main character throughout the series and just have Miles as his Robin
I wouldn't want the series to transition to a Miles, I like Miles but I come to this series for Peter Parker. Miles DLC and him as a playable character would be cool but I rather not see Peter Parker die at 25. He's the main character, don't push him out of the way for someone else.
I feel like with the black suit, it would be cool if you could use it to make things easier, like if you were struggling on a boss fight, but in using it, a different outcome could happen that was more violent and the more you use it, the closer to a negative ending or event, or possibly the public rejecting spiderman, resulting in possible vigilantism against you and the police turning on you, you would get.
No offence but I in IMHO I feel like alternate endings in superhero games are a bad idea cause you know they are part of a larger marvel multiverse and it bothers me because we will have one universe with two possible canon stories that contradict each other. Sorry if I sound too rigid
Actually completely agree with you. My main idea was more the public outrage side, not so much alternative endings. I mentioned it but only as a suggestion. Alternate endings make sequels confusing when it comes to which is cannon.

I wouldn't mind a cameo from him, but it would DEFINITELY have to be Charlie Cox voicing him. He's the only man for the job! If they can't get Charlie, I would much rather they don't make a DD cameo at all!
I definitely want to see a trilogy with Peter, but I want Miles to be playable in the 2nd and 3rd games, with his role expanded more each time. Hell, maybe in the 3rd game we can see you swapping between the two on the fly. Also, Insomniac, please don't kill Peter. Their dynamic in this game and the comics is way too interesting to end with Peter dying. It works in the Ultimate Universe and Into the Spiderverse but I really don't think it would work here.

I feel like im the only one asking for web wings that allow you to glide. I feel like it would be awesome to have a huge speed boost from web zipping and then start gliding.
I agree with all of these except for the one about Miles (mostly). I do think they should make him playable but I don't want him taking up a lot of the story and I definitely don't want him taking Peter spot as the mail lead. I think he should mostly be side missions with Peter as he's trying to help him learn how to use his powers and maybe a few main missions. I've only liked Miles in Into the Spider-Verse but that was mainly because he's in a different dimension and was the Spider-Man for that dimension. I've never really liked the idea of other Spider-Men a whole lot as I feel it makes Spider-Man less special as there are others though it doesn't bug me as much as it use to I'm just worried have having Miles taking the lead and to me that's not Spider-Man and if he does well I don't know if I could really care to play that future installments. I never liked when characters were killed of and someone takes on their name/title as they are not really that person in some cases I think it works but for most Superheroes and Villains it always bugs me. No one else can be Batman, Super Man, Wonder Woman, Captain America or Spider-Man. But I still look forward to the sequel and if they do make Miles the lead then I'll just enjoy the games and stories I got.
For the most part I totally agree. I really enjoyed Bucky as Cap, Dick Grayson as Batman, and Otto as Spider-Man but I never really wanted them to completely take over. Dick never really got to finish his time as Batman because of the New 52 but as an arc I thought the other two I mentioned were great. That kind of thing really is used too often though especially in recent years and more often than not it doesn't work. Anyway I'm not a fan of Miles or all the side Spider characters that have popped up so regardless of how it's handled I don't have any interest in seeing Peter mentor and ultimately be replaced by someone.

I was probably just 14 myself when he first appeared and pretty open to the idea of him becoming Spider-Man especially since it was an alternate universe. I loved his costume and liked a lot of the ideas that were being set up but none of it payed off and he became more and more boring. Since then I started to like Peter Parker more and pretty much dropped any interest in another character taking over. Besides that like I was saying I don't like all the spider characters we have now in general or at least a decent amount of them. The Bat-Family is great but I don't think that ever worked for Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is my all time favorite video game. So I loved all the side missions (except for Screwball) and I actually loved the Miles and MJ missions! And I want to see Harry Osborn, Venom, Sinister Six and Norman as The Green Goblin! Man, that would be awesome!
Man I don't want any of that to happen with Miles. I liked him when he first appeared in the Ultimate universe but over time he became less and less interesting to me so I'm not fan of everything that's been done with him since then from being brought into the main universe, to Into The Spider-Verse, to this game. Overall I'd prefer to get rid of all these side Spider characters in general outside of Jessica Drew who should go back to being her own thing. The Bat-Family is great but I don't think that kind of thing has ever worked for Spider-Man so I'd prefer to have Peter as the only playable character in these games. Entirely agree on the side missions though. With open worlds getting bigger and bigger and any future mainstream superhero games likely going down that path more of them seriously need to improve side activities. Take more from series like The Witcher over Assassin's Creed and tell some cool stories that wouldn't fit in the main game. That could be where other heroes like Daredevil, Punisher, or the Fantastic Four fit in. I don't need them to play a big part or anything but regardless of the connection between Marvel's games right now I don't think they can justify other characters not showing up in some form again.
1) More replayability. 2) Have boss villains as quick-time-events (side villains like Shocker and Scorpion). 3) It would be nice to expand the city. 4) Make the MJ missions more interesting.
Something I would love to see in the next game is like different functionalities with the web gadgets Take the standard web gadget where you constantly tap R1 to shoot web pellets or web balls, what if they gave us an option to hold down R1 for a different effect, maybe if you hold down R1 maybe he would spray the web at enemies and it would wrap them up, giving us two different ways to use each web gadget. Might be cool Another thing I would love to see is more air tricks in the game, currently you have to hold triangle and circle button while moving the analog stick to do different tricks, but what about tapping triangle and circle maybe that would give you different tricks, or just tapping the triangle button would do different tricks or even holding down the triangle button too. Love to see more varieties with in the random encounters In the game. So far it feels like the same random events happening over and over, just go to red marker and it's a group of guys threatening one person, or a group of guys robbing a car and after you stop the car a truck comes and more group of guys come out, it's always like a group of enemies doing something, how about one guy, maybe someone robs someone's purse or bike and you would have to stop them. I know people said the balloons encounters were annoying in Spider-Man 2 game , but I feel like that's what this game needs more variety of things to do, doesn't have to be saving a balloon but more like doing things like friendly neighborhood Spider-Man would do. Give us more of a variety in the random events Also like to see the city being more expanded, what they have a is great and I don't think we need a brand new map I just think just expand upon the current map add more interiors to go into, change some buildings that were under construction in the first game but now it's fixed in the next game, maybe allow us to go under ground in the train station and fight enemies on the platforms. Allow us to go to the Statue of Liberty would be cool, maybe swing on a helicopter to get there or have a fast travel mechanic where you can take a ferry there similar to the train fast travel mechanic in the first game. They should also bring back all the suits from the first game and just keep adding upon it, and if they do have the black suit in the game maybe they have a function where certain suits can change into the black suit version of that suit, like if you're wearing the classic suit you can turn into the classic black suit or if you're wearing the Raimi Suit you can turn into the black suit version of that suit, etc etc, but only do it for suits that would make sense to have a black suit on.
It would be cool if there was a gta 5 mechanic with Peter and miles to where you can switch between the 2 while in free roam and they have their own missions
I don't know I feel like they could save a plot like that for another game maybe a symbiote invasion or something like that but doing it on the second game after the first game which had something somewhat similar will just feel wrong
It doesn’t fit the character’s motivations. In most versions (around 96% of them I’d say), he just wants to kill Spider-Man and protect everyone else. In one comic, he even stopped fighting Spider-Man to save a baby who fell in a river.
I know this is unrelated, but I would desperately love to see an X-Men game in the MGU. Ideally, it would be inspired by X-Men Legends, in the same way Spider-Man PS4 was inspired by Spider-Man 2.

I'd love AAA X-Men games but I don't necessarily want it to be connected to anything. It just seems like that might not work too well with the way game development works but who knows maybe someone will figure it out.

I know Ultimate Alliance isn't really Avengers but with the state of that team today it isn't far off. Also like with UA3 and SE's Avengers an X-Men game on that level isn't going to be capable of having nearly as many playable characters as Legends so it would be cool to have that contrast between the two.
Before I watch the video, I have some ideas; 1: The option to turn off the music during free-roam. 2: More diverse crime missions so they don't get boring. 3: Suit Customization. 4: Web-Wings for gliding. 5: Better bosses.

- Better and longer DLC. I'd rather wait months/year(s) for a good, thought out, and lengthy DLC, than wait 1 month for a DLC that is completely underwhelming. It'd also be cool to have character specific DLC like Peter Parker DLC, Miles DLC, Venom DLC, Green Goblin (if he's included), etc. After completing the 3rd DLC in Decmber when it came out, there wasn't really anything left to add on to the game's replay value imo. - No MJ missions but keep her a pivotal character in the story. - Miles Morales playable as Spider-Man. - It'd be cool if they could actually include people like Matt Murdock or the F4. - I know this is asking a lot and almost unrealistic but it'd be cool to see and play nonetheless, a RE2 type game where we have A and B stories. Like maybe Peter and Miles are both out doing their own thing but their stories are still connected and correlate with each other. Then you could see the alternate story by playing the opposite A and B story. - Free roam as other characters like Miles, Venom, etc.

Not just Harry Osborne, we want to see Norman become Green Goblin. It seems strange that Peter has been Spider-Man for 8 years in the first game, but Norman hasn't become Green Goblin yet which means 8 years into being Spider-man and Peter hasn't run into his biggest enemy yet? They teased it while in Normans office so we know it is coming, but hopefully it is in the 2nd game and not the 3rd. I think Venom will have the Mr. Negative roll in the 2nd game (main villain for the first half) and Goblin will take on the Doc Ock roll (main overall villain that gets stretched out through the end of the game). We need to see more villains this time around too. They waited too long to unveil the ones in the 1st game and they were defeated very quickly. We need Kraven to show up in the city hunting Spider-Man, plus Sandman, Mysterio, Chameleon, and maybe the Lizard as well. They were all mentioned (except maybe Lizard?) in the 1st game as villains Peter had defeated already, but we haven't seen any of them. Also, don't team them up this time. Rather than a bunch of crap side missions, have big villains like those show up throughout the game committing crimes and causing problems. Call goes out over the police radio about a robbery, we show up expecting to take out a few thugs real quick like normal and bam! It's Sandman. Would be cool to just run into them throughout the city like that.
Ever since I saw that final swinging scene in Far From Home I've wanted fully functional web wings in the next game. Maybe as like a suit power or something. Would be so much fun to dive off the the Empire state building, shoot a webline at the last second, and at the top of your swing start gliding through the air like Rico from Just Cause.
It would be cool if the sequel would be like Assassins Creed Syndicate where you could switch between characters. Like in AC Syndicate you could switch between Jacob and Evie, so in the sequel to SpiderMan you could switch between Peter and Miles
Im sorry I love Miles Morales but Peter Parker is Spider-Man. I would be very against them killing him off, it should be his franchise with Miles mixed in.
1- I'd like us to be able to switch character in some mission like arkham knight yes, but also like gta5 where some mission are miles mission, some are peter and some you can chose who you want to play, and it affect the story a little bit. 2- I really hope they don't kill peter in this game and in any game actually. It would be crazy if they put in a mechanic where if you wear the black suit long enough it would eventually make you kill somebody by accidentally hitting a little to hard. It would obviously be easier to do this with the black suit and it would be cool while spider man is fighting midway through he realized what he has done. My however many cents? - More villains and better boss fights. I sleepwalked through the bosses in this game, and I've beaten it on Ultimate. That ain't right. -Some sort of recharge time on gadgets. Ain't nothin' worse than running into five Sable Jettroopers but oops, outta trip mines. - Please merciful Zeus, do not make Venom the main villain. I hate Venom, he's overplayed and over-exposed. He can be there, and even be a major part of the story, but keep Norman the real threat. -Similarily, please no "symbiote plague." Seen it, thanks, I've played Web of Shadows. In fact, how about no plagues, diseases or infections at all. Maybe have the writers come up with another way to make it seem hopeless? Perhaps have the cops hunting him down for something?
The number one thing the sequel needs is continuous webswinging. Spidey doesn't shot one web, swing, jump, shoot another. He can swing while shooting another web, and is supposed to be a LOT faster than web-zipping.
Here's my idea for what would be cool to see in the game. Peter has the symbiote throughout the game and has gone bad after a while, so you play as miles and have to fight him to get the symbiote off of him. Not too long after, peter and miles have to team up and fight venom. Maybe they fight harry/venom or they introduce Eddie brock but I'd rather have the harry fight.
I personally hope for Venom, Mysterio, the Lizard, Sandman, Shocker again or Kraven the Hunter as some of the antagonists of the next game and a setup for the Green Goblin to officially be revealed in a potential 3rd game.
Personally, I would want Peter to have an established history with symbiote and him already knowing all of its quirks and drawbacks. You could play in the black suit only in a flashback part of the game of him removing it and Eddie Brock getting ahold of it and becoming Venom as well as making Carnage an already existing character in this universe. Then we could see in the beginning of the game a flashback of Eddie rejecting the symbiote and Norman Osborn taking it to cure Harry and then have the symbiote break out and attach itself to Miles. To unlock the black suit you would have to complete the story mode and to unlock the Raimi black suit you would have to 100% the whole game.
What I want in the sequel: #1. Larger open world #2. Better side missions, with stories well written and each of them being unique #3. More villains, with excellent background information #4. Improved combat system #5. Alternate between Peter and Miles in combat (like in Batman Arkham Knight), and depending on the situation of the story, in the open world (and, each Spider-Man has their own side missions) #6. Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Miles Morales and Rio Morales not dying #7. New costumes and new suit's powers for each Spider-Man, and also, having some costumes of the previous games (for example, it would be awesome seeing Peter and Miles wearing their respective Into the Spider-Verse costume) #8. Better boss battles, each of them being unique #9. Better stealth, with more challenging sections of stealth #10. Better story and character development

1. Better sidequests: I didn't mind the sidequests we got, but more like Tombstones, where you track a villain down over multiple smaller missions, would be awesome. As flawed as the Arkham games were at giving villains who weren't the Joker screen time, they had this structure and it worked pretty well there. And this game already has a better balance of Spider-Man's villains than the Arkham games had for Batman's, so I could see it happening. 2. Varied crimes: I'd like to see more variety in the random encounters. Bring an injured person to the hospital, fight a random small time criminal, things like that. These were both in the Ultimate Spider-Man game, and were awesome there, so it'd be cool to see Insomniac try that. 3. A stable homebase: while it served the story of this game well, I would like to see Peter have an apartment in the next game as a homebase of sorts. It'd be a great opportunity to put some random interests for Peter in the game, like video game or movie posters. 4. More of New York City: I can understand technical limitations may have been why Insomniac kept the game on Manhattan, but there's a lot more of NYC that I'd like to see in the next game. I'm especially curious as to the fate if Aunt May's home in Queens. Plus, they can't really tweak the in game map much without it being really distracting for people who really like consistency between games, so adding other parts of New York City would probably be the best way to expand the game map. 5. Daredevil: this one is definitely a long shot, but I don't care. Daredevil is tied with Spidey and Nightwing for my favorite superhero and I NEEEEEEED him in one of these games. Plus, he and Spidey have a fairly connected history, especially with sharing the Kingpin as an enemy, so he'd be a natural addition.
For me, it needs at least two things. 1) Swing mechanics are good, but it’s a little on rails with the lack of angle changes and the inability to completely hold a web to the end of the swing. There are sudden breaks in momentum that need to be addressed, and changing the angle of the camera would make each swing look more cinematic. 2) Fix MJ’s character. I don’t mind playing as her, as it never bothered me, but I hated her portrayal in the game. Her interactions with Peter are incredibly realistic, which I LOVE, but she’s an arrogant, naive, and completely brash person. Knowing how deep, humble, and kind MJ is in the comics once her facade is lifted and how horribly she’s been adapted in almost all Spidey media, I’m really hoping they address how she’s been out of it lately. Funny enough, in the comic line that adapted the PS4 story, they adjusted her personality slightly and she’s SO MUCH BETTER there. It’s a weird nitpick I know, but I’m too big a fan of her and their relationship dynamic that I’m a bit disappointed that they got Peter so right but MJ so... 616 Gwenish. She feels like Raimi MJ in that regard, and that’s a low bar lmao
I could see Harry being Venom in the sequel. Or maybe we'll get Norman as the Goblin and Harry as Venom teased for the three-qual? Spidey has too many good villains...I'd love to see Carnage, Kraven, Mysterio, Sandman, etc, etc, etc.
I want Symbiote Spider-Man to be like Alex Mercer from [PROTOTYPE], but without the blade, the whipfist (I call it a rope dart), the muscle mass and the claws
Regarding MJ missions, I think I’m cool with her having missions if we instead focus on her being a journalist rather than Spidey’s sidekick. MJ could be great if like you guys said we have some photography elements, but also some new means of exploring lore, and maybe even writing stories with dialogue options a la Telltale/Until Dawn. Maybe MJ can get intel that Peter/Miles can’t, so she’s boots on the ground interviewing citizens, villains like Norman, or maybe even having a meeting with Doc Ock while he’s incarcerated. Let’s play to her character traits rather than just forcing her as a lil side piece (that spot is reserved for Felicia 😬)
I'd like to see sort of an NG+ where if you played the first game you can take your suits and skill trees over. I also think it was way too easy. You can walk in on ultimate blind and the most challenging missions are the screwball ones. That's actually where I disagree with you. I'd love to see a sharper DDA, the most exciting fights I had were against Sable in Silver Lining, and against Task Master. Hopefully more about both are revealed.
Personally, I want a bigger map. Manhattan isn't the only borough in New York. Give us Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn and let them all their own unique gangs and crimes.
I think it'd be really cool if a big part of Mile's story and missions would be him "training" and learning how to fight and swing and stuff. Like you can have upgrades when he levels up but not so much like Peter's which are: "Faster swinging" or "double whatever". I think it'd be fun of Mile's swinging was sort of...bad at first
Interactions with the other marvel verse! They dot the map with all these camels and references from outside of Spider-Man! Also like Ultimate Spider-Man, being able to swap and play as Venom would be great fun!
I kind of want more detail in the world... like Arkham has Easter eggs all of over Gotham in Knight. For example one I want to see was from the Spider-Man blue book... the book explains how peter every Valentine’s Day puts a rose on top of the bridge Gwen dies at. Now if Gwen exists in this universe I’d like to see subtle details of a Rose on top of the bridge and u can visit it and get a memorial trophy of some kind. or damaged areas from a fight, for example Black cats apartment explodes but when u go back to it the building is completely fine. Just more details would be more entertaining for the lore.
I disagree with not needing to have on the ground/powerless character missions (i.e. MJ missions). I feel like having the experience of being a powerless character in a superhero world is important to fully appreciate being able to be someone like Spider-Man. You need that outside perspective. They should definitely make the missions more thought out and maybe not so many throughout the game but they absolutely serve a purpose.
I'm sorry but you guys are missing a critical part of the black suit: it's inside the person. In the sequel, the suit has to engulf the character whenever and wherever. And to be able to roam as Peter in the streets, but have a civilian watch system so if you do something as spider-man, game over. Now you have to duck in alleys and blindspots to change into spider-man.
The MJ missions are brutal in the second playthrough. Its not very fun the first time around but you do it and move on. But once you have played through them once it really feels like a chore. I messed up so many times during my second play through because I would rush it and get spotted which would just irritate me and make me more likely to rush it again. I actually would not have minded if there was maybe one segment for MJ and one for miles. They would be quick and novel. Making me do it multiple times is just obnoxious.
I think it might be pretty cool if you have missions where you teach Miles how to be Spiderman and have him shadow you. Inevitably having him save Peter's life if and when he's trying to help Harry
something id like to see if they do implement the black suit is almost forcing you to use it not like the game just puts it on for you or doesnt let you take it off but more of making the game progressively harder and harder to the point the player feels like its needed to use the symbiote going into missions, as it makes them much more fair and easy
Something I think they need to add that was actually leaked a while ago that could be in the sequel is a new web swinging system I’m sure many of you would react the same way I did why should they do that it was great in the first one they don’t need to change it or update it. Yes it’s great and I really enjoy swinging in the game but it’s not perfect by any means I’m on my third play through of the story and this time around I focused on the web swinging because of the leaked information. When I was more focused on where on the building Spider-Man is connecting his web though majority of the time I saw it was at a corner of the building if I was high enough or on the edge it rarely has a placement any where in between where there isn’t an edge. Sometimes these placements are fine but there is the occasion when he sticks his web behind him to a corner or an edge and my momentum was completely stopped. It’s amazing how well hidden how poorly the placement is with the web swinging when moving fast enough you don’t notice it at all. Still my favorite game on the PS4 by far.
i dont know how plausible this is but they should add in a gazillion more swinging animations 😅.. maybe not for 2 but somewhere down the line would love to see hobb goblin.. and the side quests just need to be better.. the really need to be at the level of the w3 or rd2.. oh maybe no more mj missions hehe 😅
I’d love to see some symbiotes like venom or carnage and I’d love to see the green goblin. Also it would be cool to see some - different make a cameo and help out in a mission or a cutscene where like Tony stark or reed Richards provides Peter with some technology
I think the longer you wear the symbiote suit it should learn from your attack patterns or your reaction time when attacked . Then when the suit bonds with someone else the fight against venom is harder based on the frequency of the black suit being worn
I would like to have more random crimes in the next game and I would like all the costumes to look different and unique because most of the ones in the first one looks very similar to the original suit and if there’s a damage suit, make it look more damaged and I would also like to play as Peter Parker as a costume without the mask
I’d like to see new types of crimes. Maybe have criminals try to ambush Spider-Man, hostage situations, maybe even have some c or b list villains (Boomerang, Shocker, Mysterio, etcetera..,) break out of prison every so often for a mini boss fight.
That would be great. There's a few ideas from the Ultimate Spider-Man game like that that I'd love to see.

I heavily disagree with the Miles stuff, I understand the state of the character right now but I do not believe they are heading towards killing Peter off. Much like Batman, I would rather maintain the main character throughout the series and just have Miles as his Robin

I wouldn't want the series to transition to a Miles, I like Miles but I come to this series for Peter Parker. Miles DLC and him as a playable character would be cool but I rather not see Peter Parker die at 25. He's the main character, don't push him out of the way for someone else.

I feel like with the black suit, it would be cool if you could use it to make things easier, like if you were struggling on a boss fight, but in using it, a different outcome could happen that was more violent and the more you use it, the closer to a negative ending or event, or possibly the public rejecting spiderman, resulting in possible vigilantism against you and the police turning on you, you would get.
No offence but I in IMHO I feel like alternate endings in superhero games are a bad idea cause you know they are part of a larger marvel multiverse and it bothers me because we will have one universe with two possible canon stories that contradict each other. Sorry if I sound too rigid
Actually completely agree with you. My main idea was more the public outrage side, not so much alternative endings. I mentioned it but only as a suggestion. Alternate endings make sequels confusing when it comes to which is cannon.

I definitely want to see a trilogy with Peter, but I want Miles to be playable in the 2nd and 3rd games, with his role expanded more each time. Hell, maybe in the 3rd game we can see you swapping between the two on the fly. Also, Insomniac, please don't kill Peter. Their dynamic in this game and the comics is way too interesting to end with Peter dying. It works in the Ultimate Universe and Into the Spiderverse but I really don't think it would work here.

I agree with all of these except for the one about Miles (mostly). I do think they should make him playable but I don't want him taking up a lot of the story and I definitely don't want him taking Peter spot as the mail lead. I think he should mostly be side missions with Peter as he's trying to help him learn how to use his powers and maybe a few main missions. I've only liked Miles in Into the Spider-Verse but that was mainly because he's in a different dimension and was the Spider-Man for that dimension. I've never really liked the idea of other Spider-Men a whole lot as I feel it makes Spider-Man less special as there are others though it doesn't bug me as much as it use to I'm just worried have having Miles taking the lead and to me that's not Spider-Man and if he does well I don't know if I could really care to play that future installments. I never liked when characters were killed of and someone takes on their name/title as they are not really that person in some cases I think it works but for most Superheroes and Villains it always bugs me. No one else can be Batman, Super Man, Wonder Woman, Captain America or Spider-Man. But I still look forward to the sequel and if they do make Miles the lead then I'll just enjoy the games and stories I got.

For the most part I totally agree. I really enjoyed Bucky as Cap, Dick Grayson as Batman, and Otto as Spider-Man but I never really wanted them to completely take over. Dick never really got to finish his time as Batman because of the New 52 but as an arc I thought the other two I mentioned were great. That kind of thing really is used too often though especially in recent years and more often than not it doesn't work. Anyway I'm not a fan of Miles or all the side Spider characters that have popped up so regardless of how it's handled I don't have any interest in seeing Peter mentor and ultimately be replaced by someone.

I was probably just 14 myself when he first appeared and pretty open to the idea of him becoming Spider-Man especially since it was an alternate universe. I loved his costume and liked a lot of the ideas that were being set up but none of it payed off and he became more and more boring.
Since then I started to like Peter Parker more and pretty much dropped any interest in another character taking over. Besides that like I was saying I don't like all the spider characters we have now in general or at least a decent amount of them. The Bat-Family is great but I don't think that ever worked for Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is my all time favorite video game. So I loved all the side missions (except for Screwball) and I actually loved the Miles and MJ missions! And I want to see Harry Osborn, Venom, Sinister Six and Norman as The Green Goblin! Man, that would be awesome!
Man I don't want any of that to happen with Miles. I liked him when he first appeared in the Ultimate universe but over time he became less and less interesting to me so I'm not fan of everything that's been done with him since then from being brought into the main universe, to Into The Spider-Verse, to this game. Overall I'd prefer to get rid of all these side Spider characters in general outside of Jessica Drew who should go back to being her own thing. The Bat-Family is great but I don't think that kind of thing has ever worked for Spider-Man so I'd prefer to have Peter as the only playable character in these games.
Entirely agree on the side missions though. With open worlds getting bigger and bigger and any future mainstream superhero games likely going down that path more of them seriously need to improve side activities. Take more from series like The Witcher over Assassin's Creed and tell some cool stories that wouldn't fit in the main game. That could be where other heroes like Daredevil, Punisher, or the Fantastic Four fit in. I don't need them to play a big part or anything but regardless of the connection between Marvel's games right now I don't think they can justify other characters not showing up in some form again.

Something I would love to see in the next game is like different functionalities with the web gadgets
Take the standard web gadget where you constantly tap R1 to shoot web pellets or web balls, what if they gave us an option to hold down R1 for a different effect, maybe if you hold down R1 maybe he would spray the web at enemies and it would wrap them up, giving us two different ways to use each web gadget. Might be cool
Another thing I would love to see is more air tricks in the game, currently you have to hold triangle and circle button while moving the analog stick to do different tricks, but what about tapping triangle and circle maybe that would give you different tricks, or just tapping the triangle button would do different tricks or even holding down the triangle button too.
Love to see more varieties with in the random encounters In the game. So far it feels like the same random events happening over and over, just go to red marker and it's a group of guys threatening one person, or a group of guys robbing a car and after you stop the car a truck comes and more group of guys come out, it's always like a group of enemies doing something, how about one guy, maybe someone robs someone's purse or bike and you would have to stop them. I know people said the balloons encounters were annoying in Spider-Man 2 game , but I feel like that's what this game needs more variety of things to do, doesn't have to be saving a balloon but more like doing things like friendly neighborhood Spider-Man would do. Give us more of a variety in the random events
Also like to see the city being more expanded, what they have a is great and I don't think we need a brand new map I just think just expand upon the current map add more interiors to go into, change some buildings that were under construction in the first game but now it's fixed in the next game, maybe allow us to go under ground in the train station and fight enemies on the platforms. Allow us to go to the Statue of Liberty would be cool, maybe swing on a helicopter to get there or have a fast travel mechanic where you can take a ferry there similar to the train fast travel mechanic in the first game.
They should also bring back all the suits from the first game and just keep adding upon it, and if they do have the black suit in the game maybe they have a function where certain suits can change into the black suit version of that suit, like if you're wearing the classic suit you can turn into the classic black suit or if you're wearing the Raimi Suit you can turn into the black suit version of that suit, etc etc, but only do it for suits that would make sense to have a black suit on.

I'd love AAA X-Men games but I don't necessarily want it to be connected to anything. It just seems like that might not work too well with the way game development works but who knows maybe someone will figure it out.

I know Ultimate Alliance isn't really Avengers but with the state of that team today it isn't far off. Also like with UA3 and SE's Avengers an X-Men game on that level isn't going to be capable of having nearly as many playable characters as Legends so it would be cool to have that contrast between the two.

- Better and longer DLC. I'd rather wait months/year(s) for a good, thought out, and lengthy DLC, than wait 1 month for a DLC that is completely underwhelming. It'd also be cool to have character specific DLC like Peter Parker DLC, Miles DLC, Venom DLC, Green Goblin (if he's included), etc. After completing the 3rd DLC in Decmber when it came out, there wasn't really anything left to add on to the game's replay value imo.
- No MJ missions but keep her a pivotal character in the story.
- Miles Morales playable as Spider-Man.
- It'd be cool if they could actually include people like Matt Murdock or the F4.
- I know this is asking a lot and almost unrealistic but it'd be cool to see and play nonetheless, a RE2 type game where we have A and B stories. Like maybe Peter and Miles are both out doing their own thing but their stories are still connected and correlate with each other. Then you could see the alternate story by playing the opposite A and B story.
- Free roam as other characters like Miles, Venom, etc.

Not just Harry Osborne, we want to see Norman become Green Goblin. It seems strange that Peter has been Spider-Man for 8 years in the first game, but Norman hasn't become Green Goblin yet which means 8 years into being Spider-man and Peter hasn't run into his biggest enemy yet? They teased it while in Normans office so we know it is coming, but hopefully it is in the 2nd game and not the 3rd. I think Venom will have the Mr. Negative roll in the 2nd game (main villain for the first half) and Goblin will take on the Doc Ock roll (main overall villain that gets stretched out through the end of the game). We need to see more villains this time around too. They waited too long to unveil the ones in the 1st game and they were defeated very quickly. We need Kraven to show up in the city hunting Spider-Man, plus Sandman, Mysterio, Chameleon, and maybe the Lizard as well. They were all mentioned (except maybe Lizard?) in the 1st game as villains Peter had defeated already, but we haven't seen any of them. Also, don't team them up this time. Rather than a bunch of crap side missions, have big villains like those show up throughout the game committing crimes and causing problems. Call goes out over the police radio about a robbery, we show up expecting to take out a few thugs real quick like normal and bam! It's Sandman. Would be cool to just run into them throughout the city like that.
Ever since I saw that final swinging scene in Far From Home I've wanted fully functional web wings in the next game. Maybe as like a suit power or something. Would be so much fun to dive off the the Empire state building, shoot a webline at the last second, and at the top of your swing start gliding through the air like Rico from Just Cause.
It would be cool if the sequel would be like Assassins Creed Syndicate where you could switch between characters. Like in AC Syndicate you could switch between Jacob and Evie, so in the sequel to SpiderMan you could switch between Peter and Miles

1- I'd like us to be able to switch character in some mission like arkham knight yes, but also like gta5 where some mission are miles mission, some are peter and some you can chose who you want to play, and it affect the story a little bit.

It would be crazy if they put in a mechanic where if you wear the black suit long enough it would eventually make you kill somebody by accidentally hitting a little to hard. - Please merciful Zeus, do not make Venom the main villain. I hate Venom, he's overplayed and over-exposed. He can be there, and even be a major part of the story, but keep Norman the real threat.
-Similarily, please no "symbiote plague." Seen it, thanks, I've played Web of Shadows. In fact, how about no plagues, diseases or infections at all. Maybe have the writers come up with another way to make it seem hopeless? Perhaps have the cops hunting him down for something?

The number one thing the sequel needs is continuous webswinging. Spidey doesn't shot one web, swing, jump, shoot another. He can swing while shooting another web, and is supposed to be a LOT faster than web-zipping.
Here's my idea for what would be cool to see in the game.
Peter has the symbiote throughout the game and has gone bad after a while, so you play as miles and have to fight him to get the symbiote off of him. Not too long after, peter and miles have to team up and fight venom. Maybe they fight harry/venom or they introduce Eddie brock but I'd rather have the harry fight.
That's a great idea! But we'd have to see more of Miles being trained,so that it doesn't feel rushed.

Personally, I would want Peter to have an established history with symbiote and him already knowing all of its quirks and drawbacks. You could play in the black suit only in a flashback part of the game of him removing it and Eddie Brock getting ahold of it and becoming Venom as well as making Carnage an already existing character in this universe. Then we could see in the beginning of the game a flashback of Eddie rejecting the symbiote and Norman Osborn taking it to cure Harry and then have the symbiote break out and attach itself to Miles. To unlock the black suit you would have to complete the story mode and to unlock the Raimi black suit you would have to 100% the whole game.
What I want in the sequel:
#1. Larger open world
#2. Better side missions, with stories well written and each of them being unique
#3. More villains, with excellent background information
#4. Improved combat system
#5. Alternate between Peter and Miles in combat (like in Batman Arkham Knight), and depending on the situation of the story, in the open world (and, each Spider-Man has their own side missions)
#6. Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Miles Morales and Rio Morales not dying
#7. New costumes and new suit's powers for each Spider-Man, and also, having some costumes of the previous games (for example, it would be awesome seeing Peter and Miles wearing their respective Into the Spider-Verse costume)
#8. Better boss battles, each of them being unique
#9. Better stealth, with more challenging sections of stealth
#10. Better story and character development

1. Better sidequests: I didn't mind the sidequests we got, but more like Tombstones, where you track a villain down over multiple smaller missions, would be awesome. As flawed as the Arkham games were at giving villains who weren't the Joker screen time, they had this structure and it worked pretty well there. And this game already has a better balance of Spider-Man's villains than the Arkham games had for Batman's, so I could see it happening.
2. Varied crimes: I'd like to see more variety in the random encounters. Bring an injured person to the hospital, fight a random small time criminal, things like that. These were both in the Ultimate Spider-Man game, and were awesome there, so it'd be cool to see Insomniac try that.
3. A stable homebase: while it served the story of this game well, I would like to see Peter have an apartment in the next game as a homebase of sorts. It'd be a great opportunity to put some random interests for Peter in the game, like video game or movie posters.
4. More of New York City: I can understand technical limitations may have been why Insomniac kept the game on Manhattan, but there's a lot more of NYC that I'd like to see in the next game. I'm especially curious as to the fate if Aunt May's home in Queens. Plus, they can't really tweak the in game map much without it being really distracting for people who really like consistency between games, so adding other parts of New York City would probably be the best way to expand the game map.
5. Daredevil: this one is definitely a long shot, but I don't care. Daredevil is tied with Spidey and Nightwing for my favorite superhero and I NEEEEEEED him in one of these games. Plus, he and Spidey have a fairly connected history, especially with sharing the Kingpin as an enemy, so he'd be a natural addition.
For me, it needs at least two things.
1) Swing mechanics are good, but it’s a little on rails with the lack of angle changes and the inability to completely hold a web to the end of the swing. There are sudden breaks in momentum that need to be addressed, and changing the angle of the camera would make each swing look more cinematic.
2) Fix MJ’s character. I don’t mind playing as her, as it never bothered me, but I hated her portrayal in the game. Her interactions with Peter are incredibly realistic, which I LOVE, but she’s an arrogant, naive, and completely brash person. Knowing how deep, humble, and kind MJ is in the comics once her facade is lifted and how horribly she’s been adapted in almost all Spidey media, I’m really hoping they address how she’s been out of it lately. Funny enough, in the comic line that adapted the PS4 story, they adjusted her personality slightly and she’s SO MUCH BETTER there. It’s a weird nitpick I know, but I’m too big a fan of her and their relationship dynamic that I’m a bit disappointed that they got Peter so right but MJ so... 616 Gwenish. She feels like Raimi MJ in that regard, and that’s a low bar lmao
I could see Harry being Venom in the sequel. Or maybe we'll get Norman as the Goblin and Harry as Venom teased for the three-qual?
Spidey has too many good villains...I'd love to see Carnage, Kraven, Mysterio, Sandman, etc, etc, etc.
I want Symbiote Spider-Man to be like Alex Mercer from [PROTOTYPE], but without the blade, the whipfist (I call it a rope dart), the muscle mass and the claws

Regarding MJ missions, I think I’m cool
with her having missions if we instead focus on her being a journalist rather than Spidey’s sidekick. MJ could be great if like you guys said we have some photography elements, but also some new means of exploring lore, and maybe even writing stories with dialogue options a la Telltale/Until Dawn. Maybe MJ can get intel that Peter/Miles can’t, so she’s boots on the ground interviewing citizens, villains like Norman, or maybe even having a meeting with Doc Ock while he’s incarcerated. Let’s play to her character traits rather than just forcing her as a lil side piece (that spot is reserved for Felicia 😬)
I'd like to see sort of an NG+ where if you played the first game you can take your suits and skill trees over. I also think it was way too easy. You can walk in on ultimate blind and the most challenging missions are the screwball ones. That's actually where I disagree with you. I'd love to see a sharper DDA, the most exciting fights I had were against Sable in Silver Lining, and against Task Master. Hopefully more about both are revealed.
Personally, I want a bigger map. Manhattan isn't the only borough in New York. Give us Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn and let them all their own unique gangs and crimes.
I think it'd be really cool if a big part of Mile's story and missions would be him "training" and learning how to fight and swing and stuff. Like you can have upgrades when he levels up but not so much like Peter's which are: "Faster swinging" or "double whatever". I think it'd be fun of Mile's swinging was sort of...bad at first
Interactions with the other marvel verse! They dot the map with all these camels and references from outside of Spider-Man!
Also like Ultimate Spider-Man, being able to swap and play as Venom would be great fun!
I kind of want more detail in the world... like Arkham has Easter eggs all of over Gotham in Knight. For example one I want to see was from the Spider-Man blue book... the book explains how peter every Valentine’s Day puts a rose on top of the bridge Gwen dies at. Now if Gwen exists in this universe I’d like to see subtle details of a Rose on top of the bridge and u can visit it and get a memorial trophy of some kind. or damaged areas from a fight, for example Black cats apartment explodes but when u go back to it the building is completely fine. Just more details would be more entertaining for the lore.

I disagree with not needing to have on the ground/powerless character missions (i.e. MJ missions). I feel like having the experience of being a powerless character in a superhero world is important to fully appreciate being able to be someone like Spider-Man. You need that outside perspective. They should definitely make the missions more thought out and maybe not so many throughout the game but they absolutely serve a purpose.
I'm sorry but you guys are missing a critical part of the black suit: it's inside the person. In the sequel, the suit has to engulf the character whenever and wherever. And to be able to roam as Peter in the streets, but have a civilian watch system so if you do something as spider-man, game over. Now you have to duck in alleys and blindspots to change into spider-man.
The MJ missions are brutal in the second playthrough. Its not very fun the first time around but you do it and move on. But once you have played through them once it really feels like a chore. I messed up so many times during my second play through because I would rush it and get spotted which would just irritate me and make me more likely to rush it again. I actually would not have minded if there was maybe one segment for MJ and one for miles. They would be quick and novel. Making me do it multiple times is just obnoxious.
I think it might be pretty cool if you have missions where you teach Miles how to be Spiderman and have him shadow you. Inevitably having him save Peter's life if and when he's trying to help Harry
something id like to see if they do implement the black suit is almost forcing you to use it
not like the game just puts it on for you or doesnt let you take it off but more of making the game progressively harder and harder to the point the player feels like its needed to use the symbiote going into missions, as it makes them much more fair and easy
Maybe along with Venom and Green goblin, they could have Morbius, Sandman, Kraven and Carnage as the villains.
I LOVED The MJ missions! It was an amazing change up from beeting up more bad guys again.
I really thought the first installment was pretty perfect. Maybe just a few less side missions like less backpacks, and a longer campaign.
Something I think they need to add that was actually leaked a while ago that could be in the sequel is a new web swinging system I’m sure many of you would react the same way I did why should they do that it was great in the first one they don’t need to change it or update it. Yes it’s great and I really enjoy swinging in the game but it’s not perfect by any means I’m on my third play through of the story and this time around I focused on the web swinging because of the leaked information. When I was more focused on where on the building Spider-Man is connecting his web though majority of the time I saw it was at a corner of the building if I was high enough or on the edge it rarely has a placement any where in between where there isn’t an edge. Sometimes these placements are fine but there is the occasion when he sticks his web behind him to a corner or an edge and my momentum was completely stopped. It’s amazing how well hidden how poorly the placement is with the web swinging when moving fast enough you don’t notice it at all. Still my favorite game on the PS4 by far.
One thing: be multi-platform. Us X-Boxers really got slapped in the face.
i dont know how plausible this is but they should add in a gazillion more swinging animations 😅..
maybe not for 2 but somewhere down the line would love to see hobb goblin..
and the side quests just need to be better.. the really need to be at the level of the w3 or rd2..

What would be cool is Harry is Venom for the first half of the game but then Eddie Brock becomes Venom in the second half.

I’d love to see some symbiotes like venom or carnage and I’d love to see the green goblin. Also it would be cool to see some - different make a cameo and help out in a mission or a cutscene where like Tony stark or reed Richards provides Peter with some technology
No what we need is for Sony to stop there bullshit and putting a character that was once on the Xbox and then just making him on exclusive to ps4
I think the longer you wear the symbiote suit it should learn from your attack patterns or your reaction time when attacked . Then when the suit bonds with someone else the fight against venom is harder based on the frequency of the black suit being worn
I want the villains to be Kraven, Venom, Carnage, Green Goblin, sandman and the lizard or maybe bring black cat back as a villain
I wish they could use the arkham knight engine motor for makibg their games though. It would be so original and exciting.
Manhattan size should be at least 3.4 miles at its long.
I would like to have more random crimes in the next game and I would like all the costumes to look different and unique because most of the ones in the first one looks very similar to the original suit and if there’s a damage suit, make it look more damaged and I would also like to play as Peter Parker as a costume without the mask
