Plz how much time needs a young pigeon before i start release them like 2 miles 5, 8…. Can i do that ecen the pigeon had 2 months only but flown too far??!
When all the pigeons fly and disappear for more then 30 mins or more, after that they can go to 1/2 miles. Go slow, so they know to come home, if you go too far too fast, they will think you want to make them leave. Go slow and reward them with good treats when they return home, they will love to come home quickly as they learn
Takes me about a month to complete settling my young birds even after a month I still have some stupid ones . After a month I take them in a mile toss and the rest is history 😀
It doesn’t affect the birds, But we get a new needle each time. We just keep the syringe part to help put extra water in birds and help feed young baby birds when we have to induce medication or vitamins orally

Yeah, we usually like to loft fly for a month, but in this case we have to hurry
That’s opposite to what I do. You have them out with older birds and a windy day. Okay 👌
They are all mostly this years birds, but older birds will teach them to loft fly and trap in faster
