Saw then a few months ago in Ipswich and boy what a thrill. Great set nothing to sell or push just playing because they want too and it came over in spades. If you get a chance to see John and then band grab it
Das ist natürlich nicht die Audio Qualität, die man manchmal hat. Diese Musik ist seid 1976 für mich bekannt und läuft immer Mitte Oktober. Ich habe nur 10 CD. Aber 2002 war ich im Gewandhaus Leipzig zu BJH feat. Les und hab da gleich mal 4 alte Baby James Harvest erwerben können. 1999 waren BJH feat. John Lees hier in Freiberg/Sachsen. im Tivoli. Im Vergleich erschien es mir als die softere Variante. Im Tivoli spielten die Puhdys 1969 ihren ersten Gig hier. In den 90ern hatten wir viel Rockpromies hier. 2002 kam die Pleite und Sonnenkönig Asbeck übernahm. Nach der Pleite seiner Solarfirma hoffen wir, dass die Stadt es kauft. Soviel erlebt hier. Auch BJH. Mein Lieblingsalbum ist BJH Xll.
Vielen Dank für das tolle Video. Hast du noch das komplette Video? Also ungeschnitten? Ich glaub, vor Paraiso dos cavalos war es, als die Band meiner Frau und mir zu unserer Silberhochzeit gratuliert haben. Das wäre natürlich toll, das zu sehen.
BJH has become John Lees' one man band since 2 other bandmates passed away. Regardless money and fame, I would suggest John Lee to abandon BJH signature on show business onwards. 1 out of 3 is not BJH anymore.
I agree, they were one of my favourite bands in the 1970s, saw the original 4 12 times , the albums on Harvest were the Best, after that they started repeating themselves.
I think there is still a significant evolution in the first Polydor releases. I personally appreciate 'Time Honoured Ghosts' perhaps even more than '... and Other Short Stories' (which is my favourite of the Harvest period).
he was the "head" of the "four" ... an still ... he is the best of them. his show of old and new songs are all "classics of Barclay James Harvest live" ... as it was before in the 70's and 80's! so he can keep up "John Lees' BJH", as long as he is alive ! I will join his concerts... even with more enthusiasm than before... ! Go on !

Still a great band with or without Les, Mel and Woolly
John Lees has the greatest surviving prog vocal, along with Jon Anderson and John Lawton. You have to be called John, it seems. His voice is ageless.

Wieso man bei Hymn im 3/4 Takt klatschen muß, wie bei irgendwelcher volkstümelnder Musik wird mir immer ein Rätsel sein. Der schöne Song.
