Everything is so easy when you have the right and expensive tools. Im stuck trying to figure out how to get the drive gear off tonight without the proper tool.
Why is the locking pin attached to rubber hose? Is there danger of the locking pin slipping through and falling into the engine without the hose attached? What size is the locking pin? I don't have this locking pin, so wondering what else to use? Thank you!
It appeared to me that the gear that drives the gearbox and ultimately the prop, had no internal spline, but rather a taper fit. I don't think this is sound engineering.
Hello guys, first of all great video very clean and right to the point. I have a question i like to ask you and see if you know something about it. Can you put a E Gearbox on a Polaris FIB with the Rotax 582 ??? all I see on this trikes is ether electric starter at the back of engine or pull starter at the same place at the back. I want to know if i can have bouth, electric starter with the E gearbox at the front and pull starter at the back just to have a back up. Will the prop come out to far with the E Gearbox or is it no problem ??? Thanks on any help you can give on this.
question .. i have a rotax 447 with the B gearbox .. it is has the prop shaft above the crank shaft like you have in this video .. can i turn it 180 so the prop shaft is down ????
Thank you! The E gearbox is actually quite different.
ok

great video folks! is this process similar to removing a Type E gearbox from my 582?
great video-please confirm the 2 8mm bolts inside the gearbox holding it to the crankcase are torqued to only 70" lbs? Thanks
nice vid
Thank you but just a little editing next time if you will. We don't need to see every screw removed.
Is all gear box the same can I take the one off my 447 and put it on my 503
This a 2 stroke plane engine?? If so i kind of want to see what they throw them engines in to fly
I have that same engine in my powered parachute
@@Tomsfoolery. bad dude i wouldnt mind a small plane of my own

Yes. You'll need a new oring (850-430) and cover gasket (930-536)
thank you very much !!!
Will the the b series gearbox I have on my 532 work on A 582?
The 532 used an "A" gear box as it had a prov. 4 crankcase. A 582 has a prov. 8 crankcase and will only accept a "B", "C", or "E" gear box.
