Batman Returns is the best movie ever made. I cannot back that up with any cogent argument, but I can prove I believe that to be true with the following true story. Gateway computers made something called the Destination. The computer cost $7500 and came with an entire Harmon Kardon surround sound stereo with a receiver as speakers. It also came with a 900Mhz wireless keyboard and trackball remote called a "Field Mouse" which never worked. The monitor was a 32 inch Mitsubishi 800x600 CRT. It originally came with a Pentium Pro 200, because the Pentium II was late coming out, but I eventually got a Pentium II. Mine also had a DVD Rom drive, but lacked the horsepower to play my one DVD, "Batman Returns". So I had to buy an additional $300 Hollywood MP4 decoder card, to play it. So I spent almost $8000 in 1997 dollars to watch the DVD of "Batman Returns", that's how good that movie is.
I am glad you are into the Arduboy. I still have a dream of reverse engineering a Gameboy Pocket (with actual chips, not FPGA) clone with a sweet OLED screen like that. My skill level is... pretty far from that. Maybe you could give it a shot, but it sounds like you've got a pretty gnarly backlog already.

It took me until 2020 and the events for me to make it all the way through Bladerunner. I fell asleep everytime after repeated attempts. I love the world they built, they just spend so long building it I just don't care anymore.
I did! That was the issue! Also it appears the person bought the voltage booster for the AGS-101, rather than the booster for the AGS-101 LCD in a GBA.

the Gameboy Advanced SP AGS 101 has a backlit screen (unlike the first Version the SP AGS 001 with just LED front ligt). It is a very common mod to build a AGS 101 lit screen in a normal style Advanced model.

Don't feel too bad about not liking blade runner. its mostly loved for its setting and style. the movie has huge story problems like the completely unbelievable love story. the classic movie that i can't stand is 2001 space odyssey. its just an extremely boring and slow paced movie with an impossibly simple and basic storyline that has no deeper meaning. that movie was only ever popular because it melted everyone's brains with how unique the effects were. well, now every movie released every year has effects that blow odyssey out of the water. its like watching the original matrix movie now. its just an ok action movie because the special effects it pioneered are almost boring now

that is indeed an NFC coil. both the 2012 and 2013 models had NFC. i had both of them. i had the 2012 for 2 years until it just stopped working. then i got the 2013 model and used it for books and games on my commute on the buses to work when i was living in Oregon. great tablets. i still have the 2013 one, but it got damaged when i moved. the front glass cracked in the middle so half the screen doesnt work. it also needed the charging port replaced bc it wouldnt charge
That's why I bought my Nexus 7. It was amazing and ahead of it's time. Too bad it was stolen from me later in it's life and I had to buy a Samsung tablet to replace it, which was ok but lacking in future tech even 3 years later.
I do not know why that person wanted to use a Gameboy Advance SP screen on a Gameboy Advance they sell IPS LCD mods for the Gameboy Advance and it is a lot easier to install and are relatively inexpensive to install.
It was a different era of GBA modding. After the front light Afterburner mod but before new (3rd party) lcd kits were being sold. Take an AGS101 SP and mod that into a GBA. Then clone ags101 panels started popping up. And then the last few years we have had many great new ways to mod the gba.

The 2013 Nexus 7 has a strong following, and still perfectly good for web surfing etc. Has all the features of the modern tablets, including wireless charging, stereo speakers, etc. I installed LineageOS 18.1 on mine which brings it up to Android 11. Installation was a bit tricky since you have to repartition, but there are several online walkthroughs.

You can just drop an IPS display into a Gameboy Pocket. The kits are really popular right now.

Have you checked the fuse on that GBA? F1 next to the battery terminals.

@@DavP0w Yup. He had separated the backlight flex layer from the other layer. I re-soldered it and the "one red wire" mod worked.

You need to cut away some of the plastic in the front panel so the screen fits, the cable adapts it for the gba
