- This is not the fastest way to make money, but it doesn't take a huge time investment so it is MY preferred way.
Special thanks to B.O.S.S. Productions (another youtuber) for showing me how to do this trick initially.
What you'll need:
A discovery scanner
A planetary vehicle hangar
A fuel scoop (to get 450 LY out of the bubble)
What you'll probably want (but don't absolutely need):
A ship with 25-40 jump range (to get 450 LY out of the bubble)
Shields
A docking computer
Step 1: go to Quince system
Step 2: go to Miller Port
Step 3: do donation missions/low paying missions until you are allied with the 4 top factions there.
Step 4: profit :-D

I'm allied with all the factions here in Quince, but I'm only getting missions with a payout of max 300k~... Maybe your Exploration rank affects how much the payout is?
Also, Fehu is another system you can do this in, but the planet you scan on is 2000Ls away and it's not as quick.
You also don't have to scan with a discovery scanner, once you fly close enough to the planet the locations will pop up automatically. There are also usually a few different pylons you can scan, one is always marked Private, but the others will be public. You can sometimes drive into the no-go zone, scan the public pylons, and back out before getting a bounty. Or once you scan you can just blow up your E-rated Sidey to both return to the station faster and also get rid of those pesky bounties ;)
Wow... that's surely not legit :P, but I doubt the dev team cares enough to fix this exploit.

I just got to Millerport, but selling exploration data does not seem to increase rep and there are no donation missions. Is there another way to get friendly on this station? ... Great video. Thanks!
Andres AG donations come up from time to time. otherwise it's only massacres which i've tried and died 3 times in a row in less than 10 seconds after opening fire

I don't have Horizons but I like the technique
good guide but when it comes to scanning the posts its really frustrating as the srv doesn't all ways finish the scan :-( is there a knack to scanning them or is it trial and error??

Rank does not effect mission rewards. I have seen it done by novice and elite. Both get million plus missions.
Mark Young Its been proven that exploration rank gives you better rewards
went there last night only solo works as when I choose a mission in open play it tells me if has failed straight away.
Nigel Morris this is a bug. i get it sometimes too. i think this is a server issue on frontiers end
Does this still work to this date? I read something about a fix for mission stacking but I never really found out exactly what it referred to.

Mikkel Vasegaard it should still work until 2.3 goes live. the nerf on the beta limits the stacking to 3 missions at a time, but this is subject to change as beta changes aren't set in stone.
Mikkel Vasegaard - This is right. The beta has fixed mission stacking across the board, but it remains to be seen as to whether that will be implemented. However, the scan missions are still available in the beta, but tend to pay out on average above one million credits. Also, whilst the mission limit is supposed to be set at three, you can actually stack between three and five, as the limitation seems to be imposed on the mission board - I.e. no more missions of that type will be presented once you have three stacked. However, if you have three stacked, delete one, log out and log in to another instance, you could get presented with more than one mission of the same type and you can add them all. They might have fixed this in the latest beta release though - I haven't updated yet!

How come every time I try this, there is either very few planetary scan jobs, or the scan jobs are never at the same place.. all your jobs were at quince, mine would be all over..
This is why I am using Quince. Apparently there are other locations that are far enough out of the bubble that will also allow you to scan in that system without having to jump to other systems for the scan.
other factors which may be influencing the game are your rank with the factions (in my video i am allied with 4 factions at the station) and your trade/combat/exploration rank (I honestly don't know which one of these influences your mission availability for these). Once you hit friendly rank with any of the factions you should see a great increase in the number of missions you get from that faction. It may be a good idea to dump a couple million credits into donations in order to get your rep up with the factions in Quince.
What are your ranks? cause it could take a long time to even make the rank to actually get missions like this.
It appears that the level of missions you get may be linked to your exploration rank (evidence is in the 'reccomended rank' in the missions i'm taking). My exploration rank is Ranger (rank 7 of 9 ranks), which could be having an affect on the mission selection.
"down to earth astronomy" (another youtuber) did some numbers analysis and confirmed a correlation between your exploration rank and the mission payouts available
ps Just do missions for the Empire Factions. This will help in the scans. I hardly ever get a trespass warning.

Went a long way not to be able to get a single mission, more fool me. Check you're able to take the missions BEFORE you travel, or like me, you'll have a wasted journey.
I'm allied with all of them. Yesterday there was a ton of missions on the mission board. Today, there is almost nothing (3 missions if you're lucky) on the board. Same thing for my friend. Any idea what could cause this?
SgtSkybox when the system is in civil war there are a lot more. outside of war, it can sometimes be dry, but be patient, even on bad days you can still get the missions, albeit much slower than in my video

is it still working? want to try it out tomorrow but first i need to buy the asp and the specs before i can do the Mission properly. i am a newer Player with money less then 13 Mio, dont want to waste it for a ship i dont really want but needing it to do this kind of Missions.

btw I am allied with the 4 top factions there and they highest mission they give me is 240000, how to get 300000+mission?
Zhaoyi Dong the theory is that it may also be tied to your exploration rank. i didn't actually know until i read some of the comments with others that have experienced the same issue. maybe just fly to jacques and back, that ought to put you at ranger or so.. but be aware that exploration isnt' the most fun thing in the game imo.
also it seems that while the station is in civil war you get a ton more mission options

You say be sure your in solo so you don't get murdered. Are there ganker's at Quince? I fly exclusively in open and in over a year Iv only had people try to murder me at CGs.
Chicagowolsale i wouldnt know, i never do open play because i got ganked once. not worth the grief imo unless you are looking for a fight.
either way, broadcasting my missioning system is a sure way to invite grief

Probably nerfed. Relog not work with this station, if u r lucky u can stack 6-7 missions and thats it no more mission for u only 0/0.
In aditi I noticed this morning that it does not work relog either... frontier has patched refresh missions? :/
still works, i did it yesterday. see my newest video on when board swapping goes wrong. Depending on the state of the station it's not always super lucrative - 8 million in 30ish minutes

I arrived in Quince last night. Only one mission available though. Did some donation missions to up my rep with the locals. Will see if there are better missions on offer tonight.
keep up the good work, once you get friendly it's much much easier to up the rep. I probably should have suggested bringing some seed credits as the easiest path to increasing the rep is donation missions.
Good video but try to cut out the unnecessary stuff. That 20 minute video could have been about 5 to 7 minutes. Plus it'll keep us more interested

so, what is the fastest method to grind/exploit money?
Marc i believe that either sothis/ceos shipping missions, or certain skimmer destruction missions get a higher hourly rate when stacked, but i prefer to be able to quit after 20 minutes and these keep you busy for an hour or two minimum
how does the whole process go down
thar goid stack missions for planetary scan job at miller port in the quince system. leave the station, use the discovery scanner, and fly to the planet. you will find a spot on the planet shows in the nav pane. fly to the spot, which may change location a few times, then land next to the base that spawns. use the srv to scan a data point at that base. then return to millerport and turn in all your missions.
there is not much more to it, but the video demonstrates the method with commentary on other details you may want to know.
also see description for what you need bare minimum for this method (for new pilots)
what to do with the bounty?
just ignore it, after a day it goes to legacy bounties and is never heard from again, Doesn't affect reputation
Follow the video I did make tons of money, but just be aware, if I get trepassing warning and get the bounty during the mission, if scanned by the security they will attack. And sometimes the space station has securities scanning every ship at the entrance.

what do you mean by "the bubble"?
If you go on the galaxy map and select the power play option, all of the galactic powers show up as bubbles on the map. I use the term to refer to the occupied space where these powers exist. 'outside the bubble' means that the system is located outside of this region of occupied space.
Other examples of systems outside the bubble would be Maia, Sothis, 17 draconis, and Colonia. In the case of Colonia, a second bubble is being formed, but it's 22000 LY outside of the original bubble.

But not as much now...at least where I have been (Not Quince) for the last 3 weeks to Imperial rank-Up and gain Cr to buy a Cutter. Stacking is the real time and Brain.. Waster here; especially pinging the Servers more than FD wants!
This may be the reason for the Insta-Fail Mission Bug; as "Speed" of Exploit can be an Enemy for slow Servers..
Like if you commit SRV suicide before the Completions register...The completions don't show up until back at Home Base..
Get it while ya' can! 2.3 Beta shows Mission (of Same type-And Place) Stacking -nerf coming!
