  • Mountain Trout fishing a Beautiful lake on Mt. Hood where i catch and cook up a DELICIOUS and EASY Trout recipe. Mountain trout fishing the lakes up in the mountains is something i really look forward to come the beginning of spring. The mountain lakes thaw, the snow melts away, and again there is access to some of the most beautiful scenery. The Mountain trout have had plenty of time to fatten up over the winter and i'm ready to catch and cook some up.
This will be my first time mountain trout fishing Timothy lake this season and i brought along a new toy to play with... A NEW Pedal Drive Kayak!
There was definitely no shortage of Trout during this trip and it was pretty easy to get my Trout limit and a Really nice Rainbow trout to cook up for the video.
This quick and easy trout recipe doesn't take long to prep and it doesn't take much cooking experience to get it figured out. I've found that the best way to enjoy this trout recipe is by grilling it, either on a bbq or over a fire. This Tuscan trout recipe is sure to be one of your favorites!
Timothy lake is by far one of my favorite mountain lakes for fishing in the immediate area. It is a big lake and besides Trout, you can also find Kokanee here, though not very big ones from what i've seen, but they are there and still a thrill to get on the line.
Now that i've got the new kayak there will be more kayak fishing videos around. I'm hoping that not only can i make it into some of the bays/tidewater but hoping to also be able to get out into the bays on the coast for some rock fishing as well.
Lake Trout or Mackinaw are still on my bucket list so i'm planning a trip to some more mountain lakes as well as heading into oregon's high desert.
Garlic and Herb oil Infused Tuscan Grilled Trout Recipe:

    - 2 Tablespoons Wine Vinegar
    - 1/2 Teaspoon salt
    - 1/4 Teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
    - Trout Fillets
    Light grill or broiler.
In a small pan, combine oil, garlic, sage and rosemary.
Cook over med/low until garlic starts to brown.
Immediately remove from heat and add/stir vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and the pepper
Sprinkle the fish with the remaining salt
add half of the oil and vinegar mix to the fish and coat them on both sides
Start by cooking SKIN SIDE DOWN First for about 2 minutes and then flip and cook about another 2 minutes on the other side.
When the fish are done, drizzle the remaining oil and vinegar mix over the fish and serve and ENJOY! That's it!

It's addicting loom out. If you want some secrets to trolling or want to hook up and fish lemme know. I started five or six years ago a d now have three yaks for different species and waterborne! Salmon and sturgeon are a blast but I've never caught so many trout in my life since I got into kayak fishing! Love catching broomstock steelies on the ultralight! Nothing like it!

The intro on the latest video is my favorite so far. Originally there wasn’t any music for this vid but when I was editing the micro rod vid and putting in music, I came across the music that I ended up using for this. Kinda adds to shots and scenery. I’m glad you liked it bro

Dude that osprey was awesome! Looks like a fantastic day out on the lake, I've been thinking about getting one of those pedal kayaks, have to sell my regular kayak first, but that sure does look like a good way to get around in a hurry without having to deal with the paddle

Next step I found is ram mount extenders a d pole holders ! No joke makes all the difference. From trout to Kings very strong but most importantly gets the rods out of your pedaling zone so to speak

I’m sure I will pick the rod holders and extenders down the road for salmon fishing but I don’t see myself using them for trout on the lakes or anything “smaller” like that. I’m totally fine with the holders that are in the yak until it comes to bigger fish

And there was one of my favorite camping spots right behind you...Meditation Point. I paddle board over with all my gear and it's simply a fantastic place. Looks like I need to get my rig set up on my board and do some trout fishing while I'm there.
Leave some for the rest of us!

      @AnglingAddictsPNW  2 роки тому

I almost camped out over at meditation point a week or so ago. I wanted to load up the kayak and head over. Hopefully I can make it happen soon. A paddle board sounds like a lot of fun! The fishing has been pretty good the last few times I’ve been up there. One day could be a fish per cast and the next, paddling all over the lake until you find some. It’s all about the adventure. Hope you can get out there!

It was nice getting out and fishing before the campgrounds opened! They definitely like to dump fish in that lake multiple times in the early spring and it’s nice to be one of the first few out there chasing them down. How was the fishing for you? Trolling I’m guessing?
