I’ve noticed that most men don’t cover their awrah and they easily get away with it. Whereas, when a women doesn’t cover her awrah people are quick to advise and that’s a good thing but this is not the case for men. I wish men didn’t normalise it so much to uncover their awrah. Most men fall short on covering their awrah. Men should also be reminded that they should lower their gaze and cover their awrah as much as sisters are.I mean seeing a Muslim man nearly half naked Is not pleasing at all and this can be a fitna for the women aswell.

    What about this?
    Ibn Battaal (2/33-34).
Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: One of the things that they - i.e., those who say that the thigh is not ‘awrah- quoted as evidence was the words of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) in this hadith: “My knee was touching the thigh of the Prophet of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)”, because the apparent meaning would suggest that this touching occurred without a barrier, and touching the ‘awrah without a barrier is not permissible. According to the report of Muslim and those who followed him: the izaar did not uncover it as a result of a deliberate action on the part of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), but we may conclude that the thigh is not ‘awrah, on the basis that he left it like that, because even though it is possible that this may happen unintentionally, if it was ‘awrah he would not have left it like that, because he was infallible (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).

But wouldn't this be the minimal awrah, if we look at it in todays times, there's clearly no doubt that a mans chest biceps are a big fitnah for women especially on social media where they upload pics of themselves gymming or just taking selfies with their shirts off?

    • @Magicman786R10

The sheikh was clarifying what is halal and haram. Obviously it is best to cover as much as possible. However one cannot be sinful for other women not lowering their gaze. Women are obligated to lower the gaze just as men are. Also women dont look at men physically the way men look at women. There is far less sexualisation.

@@Magicman786R10 You'd be surprised just how many do look sexually at men, the attention men get on the streets and even online getting DMs from women after showing their chest/biceps even their voice alone. It's all about evolving into the hypersexual times of today and doing more for modesty.

It was narrated that Mu‘aawiyah ibn Haydah al-Qushayri said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, with regard to our ‘awrah, what may we uncover of it and what must we conceal? He said: “Cover your ‘awrah (completely) except from your wife and those whom your right hand possesses (i.e., concubines).” I said, O Messenger of Allah, what if the people live close together? He said, “If you can make sure that no one sees it, then do not let anyone see it.” I said, O Messenger of Allah, what if one of us is alone? He said, “Allah is more deserving that you should feel shy before Him than people.”

Be mindful of Allah my brother, do not try to make your desires the ultimate judge, think about our sisters during the summer, they clearly put Allah first and their desires second, why should we complain about shorts. Our religion's beauty is to be honorable Muslims who draw themselves out of the equation and always put Allah first.

You can try to find shorts that are a little longer so even when you sit your in the safe zone and your awrah isnt exposed. Also if that's not possible then just wear trousers. You might feel hot but remember that the hotness and like annoyance you may face from it is nothing compared to what the punishment of Allah can be if you dont obey him. Also remember any pain, fatigue or stress a muslim goes through removes some of his sins.

Does the Torah which is the old testament, does it call Rebekah a woman? Let's see!
Gen 24:15 Before he had finished praying, REBEKAH came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham's brother Nahor. Gen 24:16 THE WOMAN WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again.
In the Bible, the Hebrew word naʿărâ (נַעֲרָה), which is pronounced "nah-ar-aw'", translates to "girl" or "maiden". It can also refer to a young woman from infancy to adolescence, and can be translated as "damsel". The word is associated with youthful femininity and has deep historical significance.
