Honest Fitness Journey/Why and How I Started/Tips

  • I am a little afraid to put this out there but here goes! I am going to try to reach my fitness goals and upload shorts and videos as I go along in the hope it may inspire others to start that fitness journey they have been wanting to do. I have maintained my fitness fairly well but never achieved quite the level I would have liked. Well, now is the time! It will only help me as I age and hey, I might as well enjoy a healthier body now. Also, how I will try to get my 61 year old skin to tighten back up as I loose fat volume. Tune in, chime in, and follow along!

    This sounds like a great idea. I always enjoy hearing about health, life choices on eating and skincare. With the warmer weather, wonderful fruits and vegetables will be here. Maybe you could post a few recipes. 😊

    Hi! I’m 63 and just started concentrating on a high protein, low carb diet after years of mainly WFPB. I’m enjoying cottage cheese and yogurt that I haven’t really eaten in a few years. I don’t need to lose weight as much as I do need to build muscle. I just learned today that protein is better absorbed if you eat it after exercising than though out the day. Interesting, huh? Good luck to you and sharing your food choices would be nice to see!🌻

      Hi! I am very interested in eating more plants both cooked and raw, but, yes, the protein issue, apparently we don't absorb it as well so need more of it as we age. Very interesting that we absorb protein better after exercising! That is great information! It sounds like incorporating the dairy is working for you. There are so many opinions, I am an omnivore but do want to eat more plants.

    So, I'm loving the weight loss journey full of tips...I'm on the same journey. But, that said...right now I'm totally distracted by the cool, light yellow retro dial phone! Is that new/old? Love it. Had an old school streamline phone in my Victorian(ish) bedroom, so as not to have a modern looking digital in there. But then I changed my internet provider and it changed my phone hookups, since it changed to a cable company vs. my phone company doing my internet, so there was no more hard wired phone-line in the bedroom. I don't fully understand but I had to put a newer digital in there now, otherwise they'd have had to do some rewiring. Anyhow, love that phone! And speaking of yellow...love your top too! 💛

      I have been waiting for someone to notice it! It is an old dial phone and it works too! At least it did when we had a landline. I read something about disconnecting the old "copper phone lines" but don't really understand it either. I was holding on to the landline but it got expensive so I let it go. I'm glad you are enjoying the weight loss journey! I finally got down to my "low - high weight" Its slow but I'm not in a hurry. I have been watching my weight for a long time :)
