    Wonderful guy. Met him at the book signing in Newmarket. The guy you see in this video is the man you meet in real life. If there were more Curtis Josephs in the world, the world would be a better place.

    I started playing and play as goalie because of CUJO. Always looked up to him, use to record the games on tape and watch them over and over and take notes. Thank you CUJO

    CUJO! Great goalie, great mask, phenomenal nickname! He was unbelievable in the 1993 & 1997 playoffs with the Blues & Oilers, and he was the difference in those Leafs playoff wins over Ottawa. Should be in the Hall of Fame!

    Him and his gorgeous wife ( who is also such a lovely person) used to come into Homesense in Newmarket (where I work) to shop and they are the NICEST couple! Customers who recognized him would get excited and if anyone approached him he was always gracious and friendly, no airs about him whatsoever. Great role model! His story is very inspiring.

    Earliest hockey memories are the leafs vs blues series and that crazy goalie the blues had, maybe I was just young and impressionable but it was the most exciting hockey to watch, always loved Joseph after that even though I was a leaf/potvin guy. Watched him in Edmonton and the amazing playoff preformances always wishing toronto had him- then they got him . I’ll never forget the late 90’s, early 00’s especially Joseph , always respected his demeanour, humble and comes off like such a good dude . Not to mention his charity work .

    Crazy how we used to have Roy, Brodeur, and Cujo to pick from for the Canadian team. Since then we've had goalies of their caliber, but only two, and they weren't at the same time (talking Price and Luongo).

    • @justinred3382
      @justinred3382 5 років тому

      And both of them have fallen off. Goalies used to be great their entire careers. Not just great for a moment in their career.

    • @kylecronin8737
      @kylecronin8737 5 років тому

      @@siddiq106 Price is arguably the best goalie for Canada's Olympic teams in terms of performance, but I would argue Roy was the best Canadian goalie ever. Hard to compare with Luongo and Cujo though because they played a lot more games where they basically won it for their teams.

    • @kylecronin8737
      @kylecronin8737 5 років тому

      @@justinred3382 I disagree. You just forgot about those final years for Cujo and Belfour. Brodeur and Roy didn't seem to get them as bad, but goalies deteriorate, especially since they started favouring that butterfly style. It ruins groins.

    Edit: been reading the book. Until now I just disliked Keenan. Now I want to beat his ass down! That story about what he did to Dale Hawerchuck (or more precisely his grandma) is disgusting!
