Thanks for showing how the lawn tractor can climb and descend steep hills. I live on a side of a hill and this lawn tractor will be a future purchase!
Right on
yeah with the box store riding mowers cant climb hills like kubotas can
Love the GR2120 videos not many current ones on youtube we appreciate it please keep them coming. I've had one on order here in Pennsylvania for about 7 weeks now and the dealer has no idea when it will be in. Should have just driven to Canada and bought one from you. Thanks again.
Glad you like them!
yeah there great 4wd tractors
Gd day!! Was thinking of buying a GR 2120 was wondering how you like it and would you recommend? Thankyou Louis.
@@louislograno7524 Its a niche mower, but pretty much unparalleled for hill mowing. Its comfortable, simple to operate, and noticeably more maneuverable than a typical lawn tractor. I can highly recommend for slope mowing.
Awesome video, my local dealer called me today to let me know that my GR2120 will be here next week super excited!
Have fun!
Was wondering how you like your Kubota GR 2120? Thanks Louis.
That sucks.... The grass just stood back up after the deck went over it, like the blades did not even touch the tip of it. lol
That is what I saw too. Kubota are nice but their decks don't cut very well.
From the looks of it, he did turn on the blades but didn't lowered the deck down all the way. Most likely because the grass was very tall so in these cases, you would want to high cut it first and then lower the deck to do the final cut.
Question is the tires filled with fluid..
What problem light battery no coming off after starting
Looks like a nice mower, but I still think my Kubota G1800-s out cuts these. I only wish I had power-steering., What is the un-cut circle for a GR? I did a comparison series of videos between my G1800-s (54" deck) and my BX2660 (60" deck). Most test had the G1800 ahead. It would be interesting to see how a modern lawn tractor would compare. Great video by the way. Best Regards, Jason
Unfortunately won't be able to do a GF1800 comparison video for awhile, the units we had in stock are all delivered with nothing coming in till next Spring. Thanks for watching
@@HuckabonesEquipment No Problem, thanks for sharing. I'll click that Subscribe Button so I see your all's new content.
I ran a G1800 for 22 years. G1800 is the best grass cutting machine I’ve ever seen. I’ve been on a GH 325D and a GR2100 for the past 3 years. Miss that G1800.
Looks like it doesn’t cut much of the grass after you go over it in the taller stuff?
The longer grass tends to fold over and makes it hard to cut, big thing to show was the engine wouldn't bog down or stop....will have a comparison video coming out showing the difference between gas & diesel cutting grass
@@HuckabonesEquipment My old GR2010G does well in tall grass. Hard to tell from the music, but my gas version sounds like the deck rpm is higher.
The mower deck was raised too high off the ground to achieve good enough suction for a clean cut. Had the operator dropped that deck lower, it would have made a much nicer cut.
With the music can’t hear the engine!
does it mow in reverse?
Yes, these can mow in reverse but it requires pushing the override safety button.
Are you trying to conceal the sound of the machine with the music?
have a GR vs T video coming out, no music get to hear the mowers work
I love the strong sound but normally I use ear muffs anyways for safety.
I was considreing buying one until I found out you can't put a tiller on it.
best to look at the BX1880 if looking for a 3-point hitch
@@HuckabonesEquipment No thanks. I don't need sub compact. Just a garden tractor. The John deere X590 will meet all my needs.
@@biggetl1319 I don't think the x590 can take a tiller anymore. I was just at a dealer in Pa, July 2022, and they confirmed that they no longer offer that option. You have to jump to the X7 series which has a rear PTO.
@@rayandbeckyviglione4285 I bought a X590 and you can for sure put a tiller on it! John Deere stoped makeing the 42" hydraulic tiller but there are a lot of used ones on the market.
@@biggetl1319 I'm saying the new models do not have a tiller option. I was just at a dealer in Pa and when I asked them they said no, they discontinued it.
If that’s the diesel it is NOT 21 hp. Check the kubota spec sheet. 21 hp is the gas model. The diesel is 17hp. Just a heads up.
Kubota’s adoption of revised Gross Engine HP Rating Standards. This change has now been implemented across all specification literature available to dealers and customers on affected units. This bulletin will help clarify the understanding that the standard has changed and not the engines and performance which you are accustomed to with Kubota. It is also important to appreciate where different manufacturers in the industry are with the adoption or transition to the same standard.
What is the SAE J1995 Standard?
“This program gives the mobility industry and public a fair, impartial and accurate way to measure and report engine horsepower and torque.” Essentially if the manufacturer's engine does not explicitly cite the SAE J1995 standard, it is not a reputable or accurate measure.
More information can be found by visiting the link below. www.sae.org/standards/development/about-saej1349-certified-power/
Many of you may have noticed some discrepancies in both Kubota and competitor HP ratings over the last year. KCL has now finished the transition in the OM’s, Brochures, the Kubota.ca and in K Quote for the GR & BX-M8 models. When it comes to the smaller Diesel Engines in the GR and BX for example, the posted HP has decreased whereas, in the case of the MX and M60 Series, the posted HP has increased. What is critical to navigating this rating change with customers is understanding that the Rated PTO HP specifications have not changed
At this time, it does not appear that Kioti, Mahindra or Massey Ferguson have aligned their specification ratings to the comparison standard that is now accepted in the industry.
We hope this information sheds some light on what has been going on in the industry over the few years.
The two different GR2120 I test drove would not have enough power to climb this type hill. Blades turned yes. J U N K
Disappointing over the long grass. Needed second pass
Multiple passes on any mower is recommended when grass is left to grow too tall.
WHY WHY WHY MUSIC !!!!! cant hear the engine
have a comparison video coming T vs GR, no music
Doesn't seem to mow very well!🤥
Thank you for making videos as they are interesting but the intro and close are too long. Today's intro is 22 seconds while the close is 30 seconds. That is 52 seconds of a 292 second video which translates to just under 20% of the content is a commercial.
Thanks for watching, some of the hill footage didn't turn out so it shortened the video.
Why bother showing off your engine if you're gonna play music over it? We want to hear that engine as you're climbing the hill and cutting that tall grass.....makes it seem like you're hiding something. 'our engine won't bog down and we're gonna prove it!'.....false. You proved nothing
Thanks for watching, we have a few other GR videos either cutting grass or blowing snow give you a better feel for what the unit is capable of, if possible head to your local dealership for a test drive
@@HuckabonesEquipment don't tell me how to live my life! Going to a dealer today actually to talk tractors and excavator equipment ;)
Such an ugly garden tractor. I have a 1991 G1900 - it's been a phenomenal garden tractor but the deck is falling apart and has a few other lingering issues. I do not want a compact-tractor so I'm researching garden tractors and sad to see this is all Kubota has to offer... I guess I'll be replacing my G1900 with a Deere X758 soon.
Those chrome wheel covers/weights are just awful looking.....Its an impressive tractor from a feature standpoint, but man is it an ugly unit.
